Seems to be a long maintenance today. It rarely takes this long for a simple patch.
Maybe it isn't adding anything to the game at present and so there is no danger of borking the game.

I think that events should be added to each year, so that it's possible to do the old stuff, plus new stuff. And I don't mean just adding new things to spend Candy Canes on - new missions, please!
