Something tells me a level 14 stone tanker has a hard time fitting granite into their build.
And running rooted while traveling is not a very brilliant idea. (this also applies to running rooted while traveling if the stone tanker did take teleport)
And last but not least... Not every stone tanker takes teleport.(I know mine did not have teleport and went with sj)
Anyways... Falling damage for super jumpers have always a been a bit annoying.
Hm, good point there. Sorry, it's a bit of a mental reflex that's developed over time to associate Stone Armor with Granite.
Its been well over a year since I played my stone tanker.. So I have little clue what either of you are talking about.

Unless you have 14 friendly Kinetics around to all apply Intertial Reduction at the same time.

I'm running a stone tank at the moment. I've discovered two ironies.
First of all, stone tanks are famed for being slow but you often see them moving very fast indeed. This is because both of the bread and butter powers (Granite Armour and Rooted) have huge movement speed penalties. The obvious thing to do is slot heavily for base movement speed so when these powers are off, your average stone tank tends to be very frisky!
The other irony is that stone tankers are very reluctant to use their signature power! Not only does Granite Armour slow you to a crawl, it also has enormous recharge and damage penalties. Once you've switched it on, you may as well go and make a cup of tea until the damage toons have cleaned up 'cos you're not going to contribute much else.
On the other hand, it's an ideal AT for people who like to chat in the middle of epic battles. There can't me many ATs that let you do your team job without having to press any keys.

Yes... Yes it is. In this game you must follow certain rules, like stone tankers always take teleport and Defenders are only there to heal(even force fields heal in this game) and Stalkers... Does something I dont know.
Note the subtle tones of sarcasm... But sadly its the way some players think.

You can pick any travel power you like, but when you turn on Granite Armor, you won't be able to jump (or fly, or run faster than a snail).

This enables the extreme sport of "Granite Bombing". This requires a blaster with group fly, a stone tank and a hazard zone. The blaster flies the tank over a juicy spawn at which point the tank turns Granite Armour on.
The goal is to drop the tank right into the middle of the spawn where it can hold the most aggro. You get bonus points for dropping it on the bosses head.
Admittedly, it's easier for the tank to teleport but that just lacks style.

And Hells YES to the teleport changes! Please oh lord...I quite like it as a themed thing, but having to click and point and fall....ugh. And lag = curb pizza.
And yes to no fall damage, even if it is negligable. My Stalker has metal legs, hes not going to notice a piddly mile high drop seriously.

I like the suggestions especially the teleport one.
As for SJ, I think the damage should still be there, but scaled better. If I can only just 5 feet in the air a 50 foot drop should hurt as much as if falling 500 feet when I can just 50 feet in the air. Both are 10 times what I can jump. Hope that made sense.

the super speed thing could be done kinda with the current teck just make super speed a "weapon" power and then make that weapon customisable at the tailor in much the same way that shields can be many different things so could super speed (could probably do it with the other travel powers as well)
falling damage from super jump yes very stupid SJ should negate falling damage and combat jumping should probably reduce it.
and i wont start on granite armour.

I've slotted mine for base movement speed and recharge speed. Plus, with hasten you don't have to worry about slow attack power. And a Stoner or any Tanker for that matter not attacking would make their inherent (Gauntlet) useless.

Just the thought of taking teleport on any character chills me to the core. Such.. A horrid.. Power. No offense taken though, some people min/max while others don't. Also, nice to see you too.

Teleport's quite fun when you get used to it (and can avoid DA). Has the benefits of being fast & not much will stop you teleporting (whereas there are enough -fly, -jump and slows about to adversely affect the other travel powers).

Flight
When flying in a straight line for a few seconds, you go 'super sonic' doubling speed, but you are unable to turn till you slow back down. Great for crossing those terribly long cities.
Super Speed
So speedy! Run up buildings! Tip toe across the water! Best of all? No longer will your fight glow like you're feet are on fire! Oh.. Less that is your thing. Visit the tailor in order to pimp out your feet, run with a trail of fire or ice, move so fast you become a blur of electric flashes, perhaps just turn all that off and look like a natural MA/Regen scrapper who wasn't forced to ruin his look by picking up super speed for faster Task Forces!
Teleport
Do you enjoy having to click teleport nonstop? I am sure some people do.. Personally however, lets have that pesky teleport be a toggle that changes your forward key into your teleport key. Just aim your character with the mouse and start 'running'! Watch as you teleport buggly into a building.. Only too show up right on the other side! You know, like you are teleporting or something, because teleporting around buildings is kinda silly.
Super Jump
Falling damage? Excuse me?! Falling damage? Get that out of here, my stone tankers feet are made from solid rock.. He cares little for falling damage.
