By the way, their leader sits around in Atlas Park and does nothing. Not very heroic, is it?

[/ QUOTE ]

....yeah, because, Back Street Brawler, Synapse, Positron, et al are all sooooo busy out there, aren't they.

And isn't that Statesman himself stood on a boat in IP.......doing nothing??

[/ QUOTE ]

You must have rescued States from Tyrant right? The guy's a total n00b, its for the best he sits there and does nothing.

Badges which were intended to be available only to one side were those that cannot be obtained from enemy mobs available in the zones for that side or from the missions granted from that side's contacts.
Longbow are an enemy mob in some missions available to heroes so in my view this should be available. I could see an argument for disallowing defeats gained whilst confused but that would just mean developer time being taken up for little purpose.

Well, the possibility to gain it's being removed, and the progress bar for it has been removed - they haven't explicitly said characters who already possess it are going to lose it.

Although they probably will.

[/ QUOTE ]

The progress bar is STILL there!

Seems very unfair that those of us who have been trying to get this badge now (after i13) won't be able to, yet those who already have it will probably get to keep it. We've both put in the same amount of work killing the longbow agents. Why the heck let folks get the badge for 6 issues then all of a sudden say 'oops, wasn't meant to be there' even though the badge specifically states that it's the hero version of the villain badge

Because it's an artifact of an earlier, abandoned idea as already said in the thread.

It helps to read these threads if you want to know this stuff. :P

I reckon he's only interested in PvP myself. It's a wonder that RV isn't full of broadcasts along the lines of 'lolz!!! i pwned two teems of villians solo!!!!!! STATESMAN ROOLZ!!!!!!'.

Anyway, I'm not convinced that the Praetorean universe is that Evil anyway, as none of them have either a goatee beard or an eyepatch, which are, of course, the sure signs of an Evil Alternative Universe. It's the Law.

And those dimensional explorers were right slackers - OK, they discovered the Evil Universe and the Nazi Universe, but where's the Universe Where Rome Never Fell? Eh? Honestly, getting killed by an Evil Super Nazi before you've finished collecting the set is a definite sign of a lack of professionalism.

This is true, it was on Star trek, so it must be true, it's like being told by Fat Bloke In The Pub.

You also missed out the universe where the damn dirty apes took over, and the one where women are incharge of the world and everyone has to own at least 20 pairs of shoes by law.

Praetorian Blue Steel has both a goatie and an eyepatch.

But he is probably a good guy who doesn't go round beating prisoners to death.

I really should do something about this signature.

Then there's the universe where everyone dresses in bondage gear, black and white magic is used on a daily basis, the majority of people in this universe our gifted/cursed with extraordinary abilities and are looked upon by the normal citizens as their god like saviors.

Yeah, and a lot of villains in the game are only 'suspects' that get stuff retroactively attached to them.

The Blue Steel whining annoys the [censored] out of me.

And GG told me there was never a rush to get badges.

Thank heavens I earned this the second the Rikti missions came up.

This does not make me a happy camper... Two badges i will never be able to get, that loads of other badgehunters already have. And for what reason? Some Dev with an extreme control complex found an error in his spread-sheat?

Its a totally pointless change that does not improve the game in any way, all it does is _remove_ content from the game, remove a reason for me to flashback Guassians arc. It does not add anything, fix any issues or in any way improve quality of life for the players. All it does is give the players grief who already spent loads of time trying to get this badge. Pointless.

Good Job and time well spent Devs! *facepalm*

.. so some of us are going to be punished for having the badge, for taking the time to get it?... no.
I dont like the reformed being removed (the idea is laughable and NOT fun!). Specially since the badge has been around since issue 7... The Gaussian arc simply made the Reformed badge ligit. Now its removed (im not a happy camper).
Although such a matter coupled with the hero/villain names on missions, could mean that Going rogue/changing sides... might become an option in the near future.
