I have to say, Cimerora is excellent - it has more character than almost any other zone.

If this is what updates are going to be like from now on then hurrah! Also, since time travel is playing such a big part in the game at the moment can we have some dinosaurs? =p

Hurrah!

Cimerora will probably be a lot of fun when they finish it. Luckily, that's coming soon.

Only if there's a butterfly in the zone that causes all your characters to be deleted if you kill it.

Or, to give an actually valid answer: no, the way the temporal mechanics works in this game, if you went back to when Dinosaurs were, you'd never be able to get back to now.

This assumes:

1) The in character explanation of temporal mechanics is entirely truthful

2) There are no alternative mechanisms available.

3) Dinosaurs can't be brought forward in time to meet us in the more recent past (or present, or future!).

4) Cloned dinosaurs won't ever appear.

Yes... and?

Shuddup, dinosaurs are so cliched it's not funny any more.

Yes, superheroes and cliches are concepts that should never meet.

Just add a bit of back story in to cover dinosaurs, sorted

There's good cliche and there's bad cliche, and "CoH does Jurassic Park" is bad cliche. So there.

I fully endorse any steampunk dinosaurs ingame.

Better than bloody Romans. I think they're getting their ideas from old episodes of Star Trek at the moment, so next up its either Nazi Germany, a planet of wobbly rocks with blobby energy things or some green alien chicks who try to cop off with you.

I vote for the latter.

I look forward to the new "wobbly toupee" and "corset" costume pieces. Jay FTW!

All this talk of dinosaurs in the future has reminded me of those 1980s storylines in 2000AD. So far I’ve resisted the temptation to go open my boxes of back issues, but lunch is looming.

To be fair, while 'wobbly toupee' may not be a commonly asked for theme, 'corsets' are a major asked for item. Generally in connection with Carnies. (And lest it be considered somehow a sexist thing, all the actual women I know of in-game want Carnie corsets for their characters. usually just after they meet their first Carnie.)

Yes, it is, but "CoH does The Valley of Gwangi" is a cool cliche

How about CoV does Dallas for a novelty theme...

Golden-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Fire/Fire Tank
Oodja Nikabolokov - Lvl 50 SS/WP Brute
Baby-Phoenix - Lvl 50 Peacebringer
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?

No, you're a cliche!

I wholeheartedly embrace any contrivance that allows me to nut a giant reptile with my flying broadsword/invulnerability Scrapper. In fact given the some of the recent pernicious whinging about the Hammi Raid why not retool it into a Dino Raid? Fight your way through packs of raptors and then fight a Godzilla-knockoff at the center of the map.

"But what about the backstory, how do you justify bla bla bla...?"

Easy: "Giant Dinosaur Eats Giant Jelly Monster."

And frankly if that doesn't sell you on a server event get the hell off my planet.

All sounds "interesting" I suppose.

I would have to insist that the dinosaurs be given Fez's and Frickin' Lasers too though or it'd just be unsporting...

Big two thumbs up from me anyway!

No Croatoa was a bad one, Jurassic Park would just be marginally worse

They were appropriately appalled
at the discovery of the eight victims
They're now putting it all together.
Women wrapped in silk
with one leg missing
Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"
