An option to transfer accounts to the US servers is... an option, and having more options is a good thing, if people mass migrate there it will be a good thing because it is what the majority of EU playerbase wanted, if only a few odd ppl move, then can't see the where the problem is.
Don't think it is going to happen, but I'd like to have the option tbh.

I am suggesting that a EU to US paid for move would be welcomed by people ( I know I know I will be told not many), but how about a serious thread of people that would move and would say pay 30 pounds in total to be moved (cost of US code plus the cost of the transfer in total). If 100 people said they would move then we could be moved and the 3 grand used on marketing or other things.

Point, the first (1). In the words of Agent J; "Move yo bum [censored]", and move it from Defiant to Union, if you want more crowds. Defiant, for England, is like a second test server, afaik. And you CAN transfer toons, all vet awards included, from Defiant to Union.
Point, the second (2). Maybe stop posting on a thread so long dead that I could play a tune on its ribs with some sheet music and some sticks....please :P Its silly.

Blimey, this one went the course.
I'll add my voice to the chorus of folks saying:
1. merge with US servers unlikely due to incompatible data protection laws leading to a lot extra of work
2. asking for transference accounts or toons from EU to US servers have been refused by red names. I don't see anything that would have changed since then.
I'm not saying these things to run down any particular user, argument, or opinion. My hope is that these points contribute to current thinking, or redirect imagination and determination to more fruitful avenues. Certainly the passion of the arguments has been impressive.
On the other hand I strongly encourage anyone reading this thread to continue playing on EU servers and continue hilarious circular thread.
I would suspect the differences in Data Protection laws between the two countried will be a large part of the reason for not merging the two. To merge effectively two companies adhering to different DPA laws when they both hold personal data for individuals would probably be quite hard to do successfully keeping everyone happy!

This thread is generating too many improper post reports in my inbox and the topic has been covered in detail in the past (and nothing has changed in the answers to the request in the interim), so I'm going to lock.
There are currently no plans to implement EU -> US or US -> EU server transfers, and no plans for any server mergers.
I'd sign this only if we could use it on other peoples' accounts - make people to leave for u.s. servers for a moderate fee.
