Maestro Payment Options Removed?

Thread Necromancy FTW!!!

Ok I initially started this thread as I was unable to pay to play the game. Despite disbelief from other people on the forum I was proven correct that yes they had indeed removed a payment option and not bothered to inform us. Every few weeks I checked the payment methods available and eventually they started offering payment by Unverified Paypal. So I resubscribed (a couple of days ago)

One slight problem, all of my alts Auction House slots and Black Market slots were empty. I contacted customer service and they asked for details of all the characters effected etc, which I gave them and then they said


'Thank you for contacting the PlayNC Customer Support Team. Unfortunately we are unable to reimburse any items lost from the Consignment houses due to inactivity. There is a warning in game at the Consignment Information Representative that states that "If you disappear for 60 days or more, your items will be lost".'

Well thanks a bunch Customer Service, because you removed a Payment option I couldn't play the game and now when I can play the game I have lost several billion inf worth of items. Gee thanks for that. Guess that its pretty much pointless to continue resubbing to the game as the time and effort I put in to get the stuff that has been lost was immense. So just going to let my sub run its course (only 28 days left) and then its goodbye to COH for good.

Several Billion Inf?? What the hell did you have in there??

If the feature is stated in game then you cannot blame NCSoft for that. There was always the option to purchase time cards from local shops or you could have used your unverified paypal account to puchase from ebay. Time cards listed are Here.


I am still paying via Maestro as I refuse to have a credit card and all though I am paying a slight ammount more I can still pay via Maestro.

It appears you have made an error and are trying to blame someone else for it.

Several full purple sets, several Miracles, Numinas, LOTGs, at least 10 of each rare salvage. It all soon adds up.

I can blame Plaync for changing the payment system which excluded me from actually being able to play the game. At the time I was excluded from playing I was unable to use a Maestro option as it didn't exist until a month after I started this topic, and I wonder if I hadn't brought it to peoples attention at what point something would have been sorted out. Maybe if I hadn't have made my initial post you would be in the same situation as me, so please get your facts right.

A month isnt 60 days now is it?

Harsh I may here you cry but you just havent recieved the PM that I have.

And if you were just using the AH to store those recipes then you are more foolish than I origionally thought!

I do think that personal vaults would resolve the matter and means you could store items indefinitely.

One-off time purchases via Maestro have been available for well over a month now (very nearly two). The Maestro option was announced here. Unverified PayPal for the UK has been available for longer.

While I appreciate the size of your loss, our policy is that lost items are not restored; especially in the instances where in-game text states that items will be lost if left. Your case is somewhat unique, however subscription options you could have used were made available within 60 days of you starting this thread. As was informed at the time, removing Maestro was not our choice: we were/are unable to offer it whilst still remaining compliant with MasterCard's policies for Maestro. We sent affected customers 15 days free time and we implemented a new method of payment for Maestro users as rapidly as we could (which, per above, has now been available for nearly two months and was made available well within 60 days of Maestro auto-recurring subscriptions being removed).

Ah i see, thats a case of self inflicted then.
