I've also read every post on this SW and like you said the majority say "I can deal with heavies". But could the reason RV is usually empty by that the majority of people simply aren't interested in PVP ?? or even if they are they don't have toon high enough to get into RV ??

I can't level a Stalker in CoV. I've come to the conclusion that it's my fault since other people can. This doesn't make me rubbish, it makes me weak in one aspect of the game.
Just because Hammerfall is generally very good at PvP, that doesn't mean he'll be good at all aspects of PvP. Implying that this makes him rubbish is wrong, it makes the people saying it sound just like the kind of PvPer that everyone hates.
On the other hand, I think implying that everyone thinks Hammerfall is rubbish because he can't handle Heavies is probably some form of slander.
Personally, I think this thread has reached the end of its useful purpose.

Maybe you can provide evidence and quote where people call others rubbish, I cant remember seeing that. People have also supplied alternative ways to deal with heavies but those werent good enough. (maybe TPing a heavy into a bus shelter is morally wrong or something, might hurt the poor things feelings).

It's possible; and it bring on what Hammer was saying; if you don't have a Stalker-Hunter and there's lots of Stalkers around; or only Heroes; you can't just switch sides.
The reason I got infuriated futher and kept this thread going was some peoples responses. Not the heavies. For that reason you can count me out of PVP until further notice. No more test server night, lowbie battle royale, sirens call, RV or arena fights from me from now on. Thanks Weasel for at least attempting to behave civil and backing me.

He may well be, but if his build or tactics don't work against heavies, that doesn't automatically imply heavies are broken. If the majority don't have an issue with it, that would sort of imply things are reasonably well balanced, no?

I'd felt it was more than attempting ; but I feel you're right; not just backing you.
Heavies do work for the Turret Game; but their Strengths (especially in a Level based game) make them overtly game defining in the PvP game. No other area allows you to have a higher level minion than yourself.

Never played EQ so his response made little sense to me. I couldnt make sense of the empath remark either, its safe to assume people want to use the powers they bring with them.

I think your being a bit silly tbh. Most people get annoyed with pvp from time to time. I dont see any reason to quit all the other zones just because RV gives you trouble and some people dont agree with you on a forum.

In PvP or PvE or Both?
I think Shivans would qualify for both... Strong Elite Boss pets, and both sides can get them.
They're pretty much like a mini heavy, except you don't lose the use of them after you leave the pvp zone.
If you got as much influence/experience for killing Bloody Bay firebases as you did for RV turrets, and shivans only worked in Bloody Bay... would there be as many complaints about shivans as there are about heavies?
In PvE there are several instanced missions where you can get the temporary use of a "pet" EB/AV/Hero... and then there are Mastermind tier 3 pets which IIRC are always scaled as one level higher than the MM.
Hammer, if you feel that annoyed with PvP at the moment then taking a break is probably for the best, to let things cool off a bit. Whilst I know many of your coalition friends would love to see more of teaming with them in PvE-land, you might find you begin to enjoy PvP again if you concentrate on a different toon for a while. I know I wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of that Rad/Sonic...

There's nothing barb-like in the comment at all. I recollect that in previous discussions about Empaths Weasel has stated he wouldn't play one after having played a Cleric in EQ for XX levels - ergo, when making statements about how Empaths are "healbots" and playing them in PvP "sux", I believe him to be taking a position not based on fact but on supposition, in an attempt to bolster his flailing argument. Weasel's just reading far too much into the comment and assuming it's meant to be an insult - as I've said time and again, when the time comes for me to insult people it'll be plain as day.

I dont see the point in your response to be honest. If someone posted "I'm making a scrapper but taking as few attacks as possible and all the pool power attacks I can". People can take offense at anything, whether its offensive or not. I've seen people pick fights over the smallest things just because they are looking for them.
