Yes, they're the thing my /devices blaster with tactics running and CMed (EDIT - I meant Froted, but to be fair he gets both) up the wazoo just loves to play with.

Plus rains, caltrops etc. over the turret, waiting to see a 'miss' pop up before you pop a couple of yellows, etc., etc.

I might not PvP on a regular basis but can you please stop automatically talking down to me just because I don't go into mind numbing detail in my posts. I thought "spotters" described the above perfectly well...

Been doing RV AVs with both big and small teams, and I've noticed it's way easier to do with smaller ones.

The main factor is the composition of the team - for example if everyone has a heavy and the tank is shielded by the pillbox, a team of rad defender, a proper tank and a damage dealer can take out any of the RV AVs except Mako. With 2 rad defs and a tank, most likely it'd be possible to kill him as well (biggest factor in killing him is the bonuses he gets when he goes godmode).

With bigger teams things tend to get more chaotic as cordination fails. Someone accidently aggros something they're not supposed to or just can't wait for the 2 seconds longer to get everyone buffed up etc.

And there is the thing of the other side interfering, which can cause bigger teams to get annoyed faster than small ones. A three-man team can wait a few rounds for things to even up, or even negotiate with the opposition easier than a big team (where emotions are flaring up from failure). A huge set-up breaks down more easilly.

All I am attempting to do, is when I notice a problem in game mechanics I voice it out. Hoping for the rare occurrence that devs take note of it and possibly invent a fix. This is not any kind of 'I am better than you talk'. Im gettin tired on people continually trying to belittle what I say. "Yah yah yah, yatta yatta you suck". I might as well leave the game.

RV has multiple problems, and I thought I have mentioned lots of them. Up to you what you think of them, but Id rather not hear trashtalk aimed at me as the only response.

You said "this mechanic is broken if 1 player can ruin 20 players fun". I explained why I had a problem with that scenario and you come back with a trite dismissal which plenty of people have a problem with, because of well known game mechanics. I fail to see how that is trashtalk.

You haven't noticed a problem in game mechanics, you've expressed an opinion. Plenty of people, including me, disagree with that opinion. Since you feel the need to accuse me of putting words in your mouth, I thought I'd include the entire sentence, in context.

If you look carefully about my post you are referring to, you notice I said "I consider it unfair or bad design if". Do not put words in my mouth. What I said is obviously an opinion.

Well lets see. They are quite obviously being used for farming , hardly what was the intended purpose of heavies. Same with Dreck which got a timer put on it...pretty sure you can all figure out where I am going with this

I don't think farming Dreck and Pillboxes in RV are quite the same. There are no lowbies for a start, not to mention RV is alot more hazardous.

Think his point is you shouldnt see them anyway :P
Not sure why fly is better, other than the fact people tend not to look up. If only i could really fly, would be fun to see if that works IRL as well.

Which is where the fact it is a PvP zone comes into play ... at least, it always has on union when I've been in there.

I can tell who's just interesting in farming because they tend to leave after a kill or two (or ten). I've even had teams of farmers leave when I'm on my own in there, which was a bit bizarre.

Some of the responses on this thread say more about the relative state of PvP experiences than they do about the design of the zone.

Seriously, if you don't like people farming, drop the farmers. Drop them until they give up and leave the zone.
((then settle down to do some farming until somebody else comes to get YOU )
