There isn't many SG's on union that are specifically based around, or very interested in PvP.
The only one that I would recommend would be -=Art of War=- as their leader is quite active in arranging PvP matches, but I don't know what their policy on accepting new members is.

afaik there are no real PvP SGs on union.. at least i havent found one yet 
sure most SGs enjoy a little pvp rumble at times, but I havent heard of one that focuses on pvp and/or is regarded as one of the best on the server.

Well, if you're looking for a dedicated PvP SG, then Art of War is the one for you.
The only SG i've come up against that actually made us sit back and realise we may as well have not shown up for the raid. They all have dedicated builds designed specifically for PvP.
The downside of this seems to be that not many people really want to face them as the one sided battles take the fun out of PvP and unless you have a full team of PvP builds, you don't really have much of a chance.
Hopefully, there will be some more PvP SG's out there soon but beyond them, I can't think of any.
I guess what you need to ask is if you're looking for the uber PvP group or just one that PvP's regularly?
on union its pretty much:
Art of War
Three Lions
Eternal Knight Walkers
AoW is the only really big PvP group tho, altho the lions and knight walkers have temed up on occasion to take them to school
Hmm i may be interested in joining one of these PvP supergroups. I recently rejoined the game after a while away playing in a few betas. Before i left i pretty much spent all my time in PvP with all toons being built for it. And now that i'm playing again i doubt that will change as the rest of the game bores me now after over a year of playing it and i find PvP more worthwhile and fun than i do PvE these days.
Currently only a level 10 Spines/Regen Scrapper (Zep) on Union as the re-roll results from no slots left on defiant :P Just hoping the Union PvP community is as good as some of the Defianteers, nothing better than a challenge

No, you need a team full of people with PvP SKILL. There is a difference between PvE skill and PvP skill. Builds have practically nothing to do with it.

if u had PvP skill u wudnt pick those powers....he clearly meant primary/secondary powers, if u picked sensible powers there is no reason, behind a good player, why claws/sr couldnt do well, especially as claws is getting better soon

Hooray for pedantry! You're taking what I said out of context. Chives does so well because he knows what he's doing, he knows how to play the build he has to maximum effect. I play a gravity/empathy controller, which is anything but a PvP powerbuild and yet I do well in PvP. Why?

A good build can aid an already good player, but PVP is not just about hitting buttons and knowing that your build will be able to deal with it.
being good at PVP means - good movment, judgement, knowing what effects what and how to couter said attacks, knowing what targets are most important/crucial, knowing how to apply pressure or be defensive, and most important...teamwork.
I Feel that builds have a high percentage yes, but its how you use it that matters.
Done a bit of pvp on quite alot of games and tends to come down to synergy for both teams and build as well as the skill to carry it off IMHO.
Its all just numbers anyway, know the numbers you know the game .
