Well, I suppose the best would be 2/3/3 really which I might get soon I hope. But I'll just stick with my 2/3/2 for the moment.
[/ QUOTE ]
Atcually, the best would be 3/3/3.
3 Endoplasm Exposures and 3 recharge.
Recharge: 5.13 seconds
Duration: 15.59 seconds
Accuracy: Enhanced 94%.
Able to stack 3.03 times. -
[ QUOTE ]
However, the high duration, low recharge has one obvious advantage over the other one.
[/ QUOTE ]
That advantage being, if you do break through their mez protection, you hold them for longer?
Theres also an advantage for short duration and high recharge. Can you, being intelligent, guess what that is? -
Lets introduce some numbers shall we:
All enhancements are +0 SO's unless otherwise stated.
Freeze Ray: 2 Accuracy, 3 Hold duration and 1 Recharge.
Recharge: 7.5 Seconds.
Duration: 15.59 Seconds.
Able to stack the hold 2.079 times.
Freeze Ray: 2 Accuracy, 1 Hold Duration and 3 Recharge.
Recharge: 5.13 Seconds
Duration: 10.66 Seconds
Able to stack 2.078 times.
Freeze Ray: 2 Accuracy, 2 Hold Duration and 2 Recharge:
Recharge: 6.00 Seconds
Duration: 13.33 Seconds
Able to stack 2.22 times.
Therfore optimum slotting would be 2/2/2. -

Attackers
Once a holding time of 3 minutes has been established, the call will be made for literally everyone else in attendance to enter the hive, and thus the jelly. Teams can and most likely will be mixed, but your job is simply to kick some to Hami. This is also where the rads start to fire off Lingering Radiation, we want that -regen goodness, and we want him down as quick as possible!
[/ QUOTE ]
How will you know when a hold has been established? Hamidon can now still attack with his AoE attack when held. -
[ QUOTE ]
Im not sure if anyone has any hard data as to how much the exemplared players are reduced in efficiency.. MaX claimed that it is possible to end up weaker than the normal players of that lvl..

Clicky
No official reply as of yet. From what i've been reading on the US forums though, it is bugged. -
Clicky for Invinc ToHit information

Taunt/Gauntlet is no where near as effective in PvP as people think. It cannot be used to prevent anyones death. It just prolongs it. So what do the 3 Scrappers and tank do? They take out the Squishie that is defending the squishie hunter, so that they are able to atcually prevent the squishie hunter from killing a squishie...
I personally think thats common sense, obviously you see it different. Just because you're being attacked, you expect everysingle scrapper, tank and blaster to drop what there doing and come and aid you? If they don't you blame them for not working as a team. Interesting. -
How do you expect them to protect you? Squishies are the ones with the power to protect themselves, and other people.
-
[ QUOTE ]
I only blame them when they play as if they were alone and not in a team... oh! and I won't stop PvPing just cause u don't agree with me there
[/ QUOTE ]
Want to give a few examples? -

[ QUOTE ]
I think if you got the right AT, it can be real fun, but otherwise you are really screwed.
[/ QUOTE ]
/em agree sadly. Some powersets are really better for pvp duels than others, and when teaming, it's always a kill the squishy effort, so their amusement depends quite much on the non squishies skills to cover them
[/ QUOTE ]
Err, or how much the squishies are able to cover themselves. Just needs some practice and a bit of skill. If you blame your teammates if you die, then to be frank, go back to PvE. -
I should be on 2 lifes, I only lost one match. That was in the 2nd half.
-
All powers are instanty recharged in the Arena as well, even though it looks like they are recharging. Just click on them and they will activate. Hate that bug >.<
-
[ QUOTE ]
They don't really get any solid way of mitigating incoming damage.
[/ QUOTE ]
So in the end, the Thermal is just going to be replenishing the HP that the team is loosing due to not having enough AoE damage mitigation. Therefore, that makes their primary function healing. Every single one of its Buffs & Debuffs is single target.
2 Heals: Warmth, PBAoE. Cauterize, Targetted Ally.
1 Resurrect: Rise of the Phoenix
3 Defensive Buffs: Fire Shield, Plasma Shield and Thaw?
1 Offensive Buff: Forge ST (100% Accuracy, 75% Damage.)
2 Offensive Debuff: Heat Exhaustion ST (Takes about 5 mins for the villains Endurance to be drained) Melt Armour ST (-25% defence, -25% resistance. Not much when you think about it.)
There is no power there that will keep the team alive against a team spawn, except the 2 heals. That is the only pure way of damage mitigation imo. Its what will keep the team alive. The other buffs will just make the killing slightly faster. Not safer. -
[ QUOTE ]
Anyone that can increase a players hitpoint (NOT total hitpoints) is classed as a healer.
[/ QUOTE ]
Thats my definition of a healer imo. If you have a power that heals people, naturally you are a healer. It might not be you're primary function, but saying that there is no such thing as a healer in this game is just wrong.
EDIT: Ofc, you are not ONLY a healer. You can be a debuffer, buffer etc. as well. I'd say Thermal's primary function is to heal. They don't really get any solid way of mitigating incoming damage. They just reduce how much damage someone can take (by 31.2%), which isn't enough to stop someone needing their HP replenished imo. -

[ QUOTE ]
I wanted to turn around and say "you're a corrupter you're supposed to be the healer" which is too much of a gross over simplification.
[/ QUOTE ]THERE ARE NO HEALERS IN THIS GAME!!!
Thank you for listening
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong.
*/Rad
Radiant Aura
PBAoE, Ally +Heal
You can use Radiant Aura to heal some of your wounds, and the wounds of your group. This power has a small radius, so your allies need to be near you if they wish to be affected. Recharge: Moderate
*/Dark
Twilight Grasp
Ranged, Foe -Acc -DMG, Team Heal
You channel Negative Energy from the Netherworld through yourself to a targeted foe. Twilight Grasp drains the power from that target and slowly transfers it to you and all nearby allies. The targeted foe's Accuracy and damage are reduced, while you and your nearby allies are healed. Recharge: Moderate
*/Thermal
Warmth
PBAoE, Team +Heal
You can use your Warmth to heal some of your wounds, and the wounds of your group. This power has a small radius, so your allies need to be near you if they wish to be affected. Recharge: Moderate
Cauterize
Ally Heal
Heals a single targeted ally by cauterizing their wounds. You cannot use this power to heal yourself. Recharge: Fast
*/Kinetic
Transfusion
Ranged, Foe -End, -Regen, Team Heal
Transfusion drains an enemy of some Endurance and reduces the target's Regeneration rate, and transfers that energy, in the form of Hit Points, to all allies near the affected foe. You can use Transfusion to heal yourself as well as your allies. Recharge: Moderate
I could include other AT's that can heal as well. Anyone that can increase a players hitpoint (NOT total hitpoints) is classed as a healer. -

IMO Aid self really isn't needed, Hibernate and Hoarfrost are the only 2 you will really need.
I'd change ure attack slotting to 2Acc/3dam/1rech
Hibernate I'd just have 3 Recharge in and move the slots to Build up. -
Aye, I was there all they way through. From start to finish
Gratz man, well deserved. I'll still keep an awaken for ya -

Oh, which sever is it on? I'm Defiant
And is BST the same as GMT?
[/ QUOTE ]
This is the Union forum, so common sense would suggest it is on the Union Server.
BST is British Summer Time, which IIRC, is GMT +1. -
[ QUOTE ]
i'vr said this before, but here goes again:
Spines are for Nimmers, Broadsword is for winners.
Choose wisely.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed
Sgt. > zak- -
37 Unionites have signed up, but then again, I can't count :s
-
Brute is the only AT that gets Total Focus before level 30 (Brutes get it at level 18)
-
They need that much organisation to take over Siren's Call? We use that much organisation taking down Hamidon
.
I'll be there with my Ice/Ice blaster. Let the games begin.
