What do think/hope to see in the Nat/Mut boosters?

Natural - hopefully more faces with scars and a chest/leg/glove/feet skin with scars all over. Maybe an improved version of brawl on all characters that does more damage for less end use.

Mutation - Tentacles, Multi-arms, more aura options, more tails, more monster heads. More transformation emotes and maybe a power that grants an Adrenaline Boost like buff to self but has an hour long cooldown.

What do you guys think about this?

Natural Bonus Power:

"6th Sense" -- Due to your innate abilities and intensive training you have developed a 6th sense. Utilizing this power now makes all "Click Objectives" appear on the mini-map. (Since the Veteran power removes the fog of war, this marks all the glowies)

Mutation Bonus Power: (Btw, loved the self-res idea)

Zenakai -- When out of combat your endurance recovery and health regeneration are greatly increased. Auto-Power.

Only thing I can think of that's remotely natural or mutant is more bestial costume parts - the ones that are currently available are limited in my opinion.

The one 'feature' that could be implemented (based on my comments above) would be to allow a new 'beast' pose where you can run on all fours and then stand upright while not moving or figthing.

[/ QUOTE ]Devs have said that a new skeleton for NPCs and PCs is really hard to make and if they make it, I hope they will release if for everyone, but that doesn't seem like the devs nowadays.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sadly.

I expect to see jetpacks, quivers, holsters, weapons on back etc. Basically things people have wanted since day 1 but the devs now only would make them if people were willing to shell out extra money on 'em.

more cool stuff.

That's a safe bet.

If they're anything like the science booster then it't not. The science booster doesn't have anything in it worth spending money on. Hopefully the new ones will.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they'll go back to costume pieces and powers instead of asked for quality of life features in a booster.

Mutant pack will summon a pet Frostfire who creates awesome ice slides wherever you are.

Natural- Can a fellow get a good pair of ripped jeans?

Why must mutation costumes be bestial? Why not have, oh, four arms? Borrow the crab animations or somesuch.

Natural additions: I like the current selection of suits from the haberdashery, so... a football/basketball uniform?

Natural: Backpacks, sheaths, and other back options.

More facial hair options for Naturals would be nice. A decent pencil mustache or a stereotypical "French" looking mustache. Currently the closest we have is the ridiculous "handlebar" mustache that looks like parasitic worms growing out of your face.

Distinctively Mutant-y?

[/ QUOTE ]
I guess what I meant was that anything you could have as a mutant, you could just as easily explain away via a science or magic origin. "Mutant" is really just "science in the womb". But, where science & magic have unique looking things such as test tubes and lab coats and runes and witch's hats, there really isn't much I can think of that distinctly says "Mutant!" and not "Demon summoned from the other realms" or "I was trapped in the Gamma chamber when it went off".

Natural: Holsters, quivers, sheathes. Might be nice to have some some more cowboy options(vest/shirt, chaps, boots with spurs) considering the upcoming Pistols set. Perhaps adding a bunch more weapon options to all sets.

And of course, walking. (Yes I know it was probably a joke. But I can dream...)

Mutation: More monstrous heads, tails, and legs? I'm not sure what else.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd go for a walking travel power; it will probably be faster than fly

Technology Pack:
I'd love to see something like tech wrist bands that fire an energy blast
Cooler looking full helmets

Natural Pack:
Power pills: Temp power that increases haste; damage; and reduces end consumption (long recharge time)
Backpack: Increases salvage and recipe slots by 5

Mutant Pack:
I'm at a loss...

Word is that the cyborg pack retroactively counts as the tech themed pack. Sorry to burst your bubble.

On a related note, I blew the dust off my self destruct power the other day on a lowbie to asplode. Good times.

I thought it may have, however "cyborg" can fit into both tech and science according to the CoX origin definitions:

Science: Exposure to chemicals, radiation, or some other scientific process has left you changed, with new and mysterious abilities far beyond the mass of humanity.

Tech: Unlike science heroes, whose bodies have been permanently changed by exposure to natural forces, as a technology hero you carry unique and advanced devices that allow you to produce superhuman effects.

As far as extra packs... one can always hope for moar...

Mutation: More animal faces - ape/monkey, birds, fish (or at least a face with scales & gills), insect, horse, lion, non-monsterous canines, etc.; more and/or better tails; more feet/boot options - paws, bird feet, webbed feet, ape feet; better "monsterous fur" options as well as bark, crystal, and scaly skin options.

Natural: Scabbards, quivers, holsters, backpacks, and a Superman-esque "ripping-your-shirt-open" costume change emote.

As for jetpacks, I'd like that option added as a craftable recipe similar to jet boots in a future issue, rather than as a part of a booster pack.

I still want my bulky chemical tank to strap to a couple character's backs, complete with colorable transparent windows and animated bubbles (think warhulk fluid chambers). But the Super Science pack already came and went with nary a chem tank (or bubble helmet). So I'll just have to keep looking dreamily out my bedroom window at the rain, pining.

For the natural pack, I'd love costumes to, as mentioned, include more "natural" option for travel powers: boots that use the power slide with rockets for superspeed, jet/ant-gravity backpacks for fly/super jump- along with this I could see some extra military-ish and street-fighterish options. Military back pack, arms with pouches, legs with pouches, bullet proof vests, battle-worn street clothes.

For the natural pack, the power I would put in an auto power that gives a small +regen/+recovery that would take normal heroes/villains up to arachnos archetype levels for both values, to reflect the natural training of the character.

For the mutant pack, I'd put in more "monstrous" options...faces and body options with bulbous growths, nasty jaws, and so on. Perhaps include weapon options that have a bio-mechanical look that could be growths. Also included could be different back options, including spider-legged ones similar to crab soldiers, tentacles, and large prehensile tales.

For the mutant power, a couple ideas come to mind.

One would be a brief adrenaline boost, with effects exactly similar to the empathy power, but with a crash and long cool-down, another would be a lycanthropy vile, that would transform the user into a werewolf. This would use the kheldian transformation mechanic, and the warwolf skeleton/animations, granting good hp and new powers, with the exclusion of normal powers. Unlike the kheldian "lobster" form, however, this would be a timed toggle, so it would deactivate either when manually detoggled, or when the time ran out.

That's my wishlist.

Me too - I just got back from two weeks of beautiful weather in Europe, and it's oppressively gloomy when I get back. Oh well - gives me a good excuse to sit on my butt and do nothing but recover.

...Mutie pack: Lost and Rikti costume pieces. Including the original artwork for the Rikti (pre-armor) that we can put normal costume pieces on...

Natural - Sentai/Kamen Rider-style costume change emotes...

[/ QUOTE ]

Links please? You mean like strike a pose, flash, new costume?

[/ QUOTE ]

Example 1

Example 2

I'd describe it in generic terms as "manipulate an electronic gadget (or even just do the animation where you press buttons on your wrist), then strike a pose, then there's flashing/swirly lights while your costume changes."

I suppose the backflip and salute emotes do the same thing, but I think adding a transformation widget would fit with the Natural theme. (Even though live-action show heroes are usually magic/tech origin...)
