Can we possibly get numerical values on sliders?

Since we're going to be able to adjust height and such with the booster pack is it possible for numerical values be added to height in the costume creator? (Maybe even with the facial features too)

Basically, if we move the height slider a numerical value changes. All the way left could be "0" and all the way right could be "10." As you move the slider the value decreases or increases.

The ultimate point would be if I wanted to make two characters the same height (Like in MA or maybe making twins). So I could look at character "A" and see he is height 6.6, ok I know if I recreate him to use height 6.6 without having to guess.

Seems like a simple enough addition is it possible?

Even better, like the Auction House sliders when you add multiple items. Slide it left to lower values, slide it right to higher values, or input a number in the text field.

my poor twins i took so long making their height the same making and remaking the character untill i could switch between them on the character screen with no noticable change.

It has been. Repeatedly. And ignored.

I figured it was ignored because we couldn't change height... but now we can in the creator with this new pack so perhaps it could be added in an upcoming patch?

Also good idea referring to the Auction House analogy.

You know what, I am like OCD about that too. I didn't have twins but I did FINALLY figure out the exact height to be about equal to all the NPCs in the game. It always drove me nuts being like 10 feet tall when I wanted my character to look human or human size.

So now I have one character slot dedicated to this and when I create a character I make sure to match the height...

Oh god yes. A thousand times.

Hehe, I would love for them to implement this.
I actually sometimes go into the game and use /demorecord...
Then collect the actual heights (As it is listed inside of the demorecord text files... don't ask me to explain here... you'd have to read through the tutorials in the Multimedia SubForums)...
And then just try and match the character(s) up to what I want based on that.

My friend was making an alt version of the same character...
And we kept creating a new one, logging it in, I'd use demorecord as a cyber tape measure...
And rinse and repeat until we got within a quarter of an inch difference

Haha...

so, yeah... /sign

The characters Scale is recorded in the costume file so I don't think you need to /demorecord to get it.

I would so love to have this.

I agree that it should work like the WW/BM with the slider and ability to manually input numerical data.

All the other scales are, but height isn't. Or at least, loading a saved costume doesn't change your character's height, even in character creation.

Yeah. I have three versions of one character who are all supposed to be 6' even, but despite my best efforts they're different heights. I'd like to be able to type in a value.

A million times, yes please. I'm OCD about this too. I have.. lets see, three versions each of three different characters, and I had to make sure height was -exact- for each one. It didn't matter that no one else would be able to tell, they couldn't be off by even a hair, because I would notice. I managed it, sure, but have you any idea how long it took me for each one? And have you any idea the ridicule I endured from my friends list who saw me reroll over and over for about an hour?

Please, add this! Spare my tears!

This is an excellent idea. I say that because the other day I spent around half an hour trying to perfectly duplicate one of my characters' dimensions. I finally succeeded, but numerical inputs would've made the process so much more tolerable.

I never really quite understood why the character sliders in this game didn't have some kind of visible scale and/or GUI fields that would allow us to set values precisely. I think it must have followed the same "fuzzy logic" that motivated the Devs to originally not give us access to the numbers associated with power stats. That whole mindset of keeping "numbers" hidden from players was a cute idea to simplify things in theory but a very irksomely restrictive concept in practice.

Now that we have access to all the numbers saved in costume files it's not like hiding numbers from us in the character editing screens really makes any sense anymore (even if it ever did).

Until such time as they make this sort of thing a reality, what I do is save off a costume file and copy paste the body scales into the new costume. Then I load that modified costume in as the new one. Or I just load in a costume file with the sliders I want and build a new costume on top of it.

Now, that's no help currently for the height slider, which we can only set at character creation, but it will probably start working for folks who buy the Super Science booster (when that is released).

"Eyeballing it" does NOT give you the exact same height. "Close enough" is never really close enough.
