A tanker doesn't really appeal to me; I already have a Brute that can't die unless I die IRL at the keyboard. Doing that same thing with lower damage isn't really my aim.
Let me rephrase: I am considering a staff/bio scrapper. How is staff on scrappers compared to brutes and stalkers? -
Sounds like you are mostly describing a corruptor with Fire Blast primary, Psi Epic, and one of the following secondaries: Rad, Cold, Dark, and maybe Time.
-
Thoughts? Who does the set really shine for?
-
-
Ok, what sort of numbers *should* I be actually seeing if it were working properly?
-
Please tell me Mids is miscalculating the damage of CU. On a fully slotted build with "show max possible" on, build up on, and with musculature *core* paragon, I'm showing 3039.4 smashing damage. AS is showing 1255.9 damage. Even with buildup off and "show minimum" on, CU is still showing 2272.6 and AS is showing 944.4.

Microfilaments do not enhance the slow movement portion of Snowstorm.
-
Couldn't find this on the forums.
Brother Hammond is a new Luddite contact in Cap au Diable. How do I unlock him so I can do his badge arc (False Prophet badge) via Ouroboros? -
I'm curious if this will mean microfilament can no longer enhance slow movement
-
When catalyzed, what changes? The amount healed? The proc rate?
I remember seeing a chart somewhere but after searching for 10 mins I figured I might as well just ask in a relevant thread. -
If you're just coming in, William's summary will bring you to speed with startling accuracy.
Also, there is a great deal of preliminary evidence that calling Arcanaville a lie-abeitc who has lie-abetes will cause you to take more poundings than Omaha Beach before the ground invasion. This of course is a conspiracy, and you know why but you can't talk about it (a statement so out of all reason that claiming to be the President of Tits would be, by a wide margin, less fatuous). -
Durakken, I count at *least* half-a-dozen people in the last two pages alone who are either totally convinced you are a fool or certainly sure Arcana never did anything close to lie. That should likely send up a red flag in your mind, but I am surely betting that it will not.
And while I will no doubt be disappointed in your response to this question (and find myself feeling a little silly for even bothering to ask) do you think that it is more likely that Arcanaville is maliciously outright lying or that you are being stubborn and misunderstanding what she said? (Hint: if it's the second one, you won't know it because if you did you wouldn't be doing it in the first place). Arcanaville has an impeccable reputation and no reasonable vested interest in lying to you (and frankly, doesn't require any outside defense).
So either you're stubborn and missing the picture, or we can thank the infamous Dunning-Kruger effect - a catch-22 seemingly designed by Satan himself that makes incompetent people unable to judge their own incompetence because measuring competence is the thing at which they are least competent. You won't be able to tell either way, but neither one is going to win you an argument with Arcanaville. -
Obviously Maneuvers is stronger both personally and for your team. It is also a good deal more expensive to run, and if you have concerns with endurance management (especially at lower levels) then CJ may be a better fit for you.
Endurance issues aside, are you trying to get softcapped? What is your defensive set? How close to the softcap are you if you are trying to get there? -
@Beo - you're right, I did give an older build by mistake (I've been having no small issue with getting Mid's to actually load properly post i17). The build I use does have the kinetic combats in those powers.
TBH, I'm not even sure why I said what I did, since I clearly even went for typed defenses for f/c -
Slotting for typed defense bonuses is not nearly as efficient as slotting for positional defense bonuses.

There isnt alot of discussion because the set is so well-known by now. It isnt the strongest set, but it is hardly the weakest and with some good IOs you can get some pretty absurd numbers out of it. Sure, the resists are a little lower than elec, but the defense is a crapload higher and the heal is alot better.
-
This is what I use, though I will add the disclaimer that it is likely prohibitively expensive (there are a couple multi-billion IOs in it among other things)

Please god yes. It is so tedious to try to replicate scales.
-
54.76 is my highest with no powers other than autos.
-
Howling Twilight is -500% regen, not -3000%. Also, the end drain on elec is not nearly good enough on its own to be much of a detriment to anything (chances are the mob's hps will be going down at least as fast as the end).
If you wanted to kill regen, Lingering Radiation is the same % decrease with half the recharge time, Poison Trap is twice as powerful as either, and the Cold Domination set is right at the top of overall debuffing. -
Exactly. I hardly use darkest night for any sort of to-hit debuff.

"Fitting these powers into the SS/WP formula is easier than using the Slap Chop. You only need 5 powers out of the primary to be successful (Punch, Haymaker, KO Blow, Rage, Footstomp). Everything but Resurgence in Willpower. Two powers from a travel pool if you want (I like leaping personally), and three powers from Fitness (hurdle/swift, health, and stamina). Add up those powers and you have room for a power to unlock Tough and Weave, Gloom (Yes have some! This attack rocks the socks!), Darkest Night, and one other power of your choice (I like Hasten)!!! There are many ways to slot these power choices and it's hard to go wrong. My power choices may go against your character concept, but really the only difference I can see is swapping Leaping for Flight."
But then you miss out on Dark Obliteration, which is imo not an optional power. I was faced with a choice between Darkest Night and Weave. Darkest Night provided a noticable benefit for the team, and weave was only for me. Darkest Night is also more useful for dealing with AVs. -
I would say weave is much less important than tough. Even without weave, the only way I am dying in game is if I die IRL at the keyboard. I never even have to run darkest night outside of the last mission of LRSF.

Any input? This is what I currently run with. I can't think of many places to make improvements, so if anyone sees something I didn't, please let me know.
