Most of that I dont know or cant say. Lore on the other hand. I believe Positron and the other writers are going to do a AMA (ask me anything) lore edition. Positron posted that somewhere in all these threads.

I miss you Pebble and its only been half a day. I worked in QA catching bugs and making sure everyone on the forum had a voice...within reason 8p

Said this in Virtue forums but will say it here. For the past 2 years I worked at Paragon Studios. I couldnt say it before but now I can.

Sorry for typos and such this all is typed through a veil of tears.
Hey everyone, I know I havent been posting often recently and there is a good reason for it. I'll get to that later. I just wanted to reflect on everything that happened in the almost 9 years I have played.
The first day I ever saw CoH was on a visit to my sisters house. She was in the beta and allowed me, what I now consider a great honor, a peek at the game and to play it. On my visit I was able to play all the way to level 14 on a Energy/Energy blaster. That was it I was hooked.
I went home and per-ordered the game.
Back then I had a dial up bit I couldnt think of not having the game so I contacted the studio and asked if they could send me a copy of the game on disk so I could install it without having to download the client. A few days later I had the two disks and the game installed. (Matt and Melissa both kind enough to sign those yesterday) With the game installed I played out the rest of beta.
The Rikti invasion on the final day of beta my computer couldnt handle all the graphics so I never saw the ships hovering above. I played some in Atlas until it became so laggy I almost crashed. I moved over to Galaxy city and stood atop the City building there. Someone sent me an invite and I joined there team. We began talking and he told me that he was one of the devs for the game who was off that day and on looking at his powers he had them all. I was so amazed. Thank you unknown dev in GC in the invasion you probably will never read this but I thought you were the coolest person I ever met for just being so real about everything.
The game launched and I made my character again a Dark Melee/Regen scrapper. I played with my sister and many of her friends but I am a avid player and not being employed gave me time to shoot ahead of everyone. I played many alts. One day I made Blazing Tiger and joined "Kitties on the Prowl" SG. Right from the start everyone was nice to me and I made a lot of friends in the SG.
About a year of SG drama later I was leading the SG with many of the others gone to other places. Snipe Hami raids, Puppy dumpsters, I was there for it all. Issue 1 brought us Badges and I was inl ove all over again.
I badged....and badged...and then badged some more. My love for this game never stopping. Then it happened.
Issue 19 was on beta and my friend told me they had seen a post on the Paragon site for QA. I thought to myself "I know the game why not?" So I applied. My resume was pretty much a sheet of paper that said I played some games. On beta I sent a tell to Alpha Wolf saying I had submitted my resume and asking if there was any chance he could pass it along to whoever worked in QA. He told me he was the person that it would go to. A few days later they called me and said they wanted to interview me.
HOLY PANCAKE!
On that day I went in and I was so nervous I thought I was never going to get the job with how I had interviewed. The drive home had me very depressed. I got home and as I closed my door my phone rang. I answered it and it was Paragon HR saying they wanted to offer me a job.
HOLY PANCAKE! again!
For the past two years I have worked for Paragon Studios and they are like a family to me. I love them all so much and we all shared many tears today. The past almost 9 years has tuely been a crazy ride and I want you to know I love you all!
Ill probably edit this later when I am able to but this was something I needed to type. -
Hey everyone!
This Saturday 6/9 I am going to revive my long dead tradition of Master Saturdays. If you were not around or not aware of it this was a time all us virtuites who wanted badges that were too hard at the time to get got together and helped each other out.
Starting this weekend at 2PM Pacific, 5PM Eastern, we will be forming up in Dark Astoria for the new hard badges to make sure everyone who wants them can join and get them. This does not mean we will get them each time so dont get discouraged if we fail once or twice. As well this trial has a 24 person cap so if you do not get in on the first week keep coming the biggest reason I run these is to make sure if you want this badge we will get it for you.
Please keep an eye on the global channel VirtueUnited for all information on this.
This week the reigns will be pulled a little tight as we learn just what it takes to get the badge. Please try to have a debuffer ready to help out. Level shifts to + 3 are required and hybrid is a cherry on top. Corruptors and -regen will be big on these runs as scourge and -regen are strong against what we are facing.
Lets all work together to get these badges for everyone that wants them! -
A couple of people have discussed it in this thread
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...45#post3524445
Hopefully this helps. If not I'm sure Zombie Man will zip in and answer this...if he hasnt already as I have typed this <_< -
Havent got to update but made it there! Darn work taking up all my time.

Quote:There are two badges one for keeping the drones alive the other if for keeping them deactivated and alive. In the first ones case you can activate them. If you keep them all deactivated you will get both badges at the end of the mission. So, what's the secret to that one? Do you have to keep the Drones alive and NOT use the Temp Power you get at the start of the mission? Or do you have to use the Temp Power and then keep them alive? I've heard conflicting reports, and never managed to get it in the Beta.

Quote:They share the same badge art. Thanks for assembling this list. One thing that's not exactly clear to me (mainly because I hadn't run the new TFs yet), is what artwork all of these badges are supposed to have. The way the list indicates I can't tell if they're all the same or if some just don't have art.

Quote:Thank you so much for the clarification. Especially on this point. There have been some questions regarding this promotion that I'd like to take the time to address.
Q1) If I have time remaining on my subscription, how can I take advantage of this offer?
A1) Starting at 9:00AM EST, on November 29th, 2010 through 11:59PM EST, December 13th, 2010, log into your NCsoft account management page. There will be a clickable banner ad promoting this opportunity. If you click on it, it will take you to a page where you can change your payment plan without cancelling your account. -
Of course my resub comes on the 28th because ive been with CoH from the launch so I miss the promotion by one day. Talked with NC support and they said the only way I could get the promorion would be to cancel my sub for a day...I know its one day but I've never let my sub lapse before. This is making me sad.

Quote:Ooh No! Dont you realize what you have done! You used rational thought on the Internet! *teleports off the internet before it implodes*Also, because certain other people seem to have very... let's say malleable... memories it's worth noting that at the M&G where they announced the goal of releasing on the 16th they also said that it would be delayed until after the American Thanksgiving holiday if it wasn't ready by the 16th.
As disappointed as i am by the delay i'm also capable of understanding why it's needed. -
Quote:Thank you Captain Hindsight!Inherent Fitness should have been introduced in Going Rogue since they stated their target was to attract new players, new players aren't as aware they have to take that pool to function without as much of an interruption in their play. Then changing it on the new players once they know that they need it 3 months later seems to make so much sense. They should have had the vision to see this and put it into place with GR since this is designed to help keep the new subscribers, not just us long-timers. Not all of a sudden realize during their actually reading their forum topics of people that had an expectation and conveyed it of why a good chunk of people didn't like to play the majority of the addition that is pre-20 stuff because of no stamina, then a few days later they unveil this big idea, "hey gang inherent fitness!". Should have been done before i19.
Just because it is happening now doesnt give you the right to say it should have happened earlier. -
Does on beta count? Ill be there soon as it's live for sure.
-
Rogue is the best. You need to be a villain to get the new redside arc badge but you can join a team of someone of the right level to get the hero ones. everything else is as long as you can explore both sides.

Quote:Final badge total is sitting around 1196 give or take depending on what you consider obtainable.Hi,
many thanks to all the Beta Testers who made these listings possible and to those who are working away getting the Badge Verification sites updated
So given that we can also haul our Alts into Praetoria as well, do we have a maximum possible total of badges gettable now?
Is it close to the 1250 badge?
Also any word on how we access the Praet mission stuff type badges? Flashback or Begging for a lvl 1 to 20 team? ( 2nd account here I come!)
Thanks -
That would be Beef's Department...but as far as the ones in the shard. Not as bad as you think. There's only so much land for it to be on.

Quote:I will disagree in the most awesome way I can. By quoting Shakespear.Having little mistakes like this go uncorrected potentially causes bugs.
Just sayin'.
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.
All my pictures in my post are named random short names so i could upload them quick but yet they still are in the right section and representing the sections correctly. The name given by the devs is but a name yet the badge still smells as sweet. -
