I'm at 1,195, with only the possibility of being at 1,199 (if I'm stupid and get the 3 weekly strike helper badges in a week) by the 12th. I might have to wait for a bit. Grats for having more vet badges.

i wont be able to hit this milestone till i20 prolly, im stuck at 1187 right now due to vet badges and theres only 5 new badges with this issue

but gratz on reaching the next milestone

And I agree about the WST badges....1 for a badge, of course....10, understandable ... but for myself who is lucky to have time to run 1 TF a week that 50 total... ugh.

Well, for what it's worth I don't think your opinion is worth anything. You can say the same thing about anniversary badges since they are "kinda" like a veteran badge.

What counts is when you open up your information window and click on the Badges tab. See that number at the top? That's how many badges you've got. There's no little asterisk there that leads to a statement saying "except for veteran badges".

A badge is a badge is a badge.

Congrats, Turg! I'm almost there myself.

i honestly have to agree with both of you, i really dislike that im about 7-8 vet badges behind of most poeple which is really limiting my badges (if i had all the vets to the 81 month, i would be around 1200 now as well)

but i agree with the badge is a badge argument, because well, all those poeple who have more vets have been playing longer and are essentially more loyal, kind of like the loyalty badges and such, it shows that they are big supporters of the game.

and since it is a game, a badge is a badge, to me i just want to have them all that i possibly can, and i know there will be some that i wont be able to have fast or at all due to not physically being around at the time (ie i missed the 2nd anniversary badge (i think its called reveler), because i started playing the game about 3-4 months after they had the anniversary log on time)

so i wish i could support both sides of the argument, so compared to other poeple it would be more fair, but at the same time i understand that if you werent around to earn them, or havent earned them yet, then they are just a badge that you can just take off your personal list

I don't know if I agree with that. For example, my situation is that I got a Trial from a friend in June of 2006 and have been subscribed constantly since then (and not to any other games either). I came. I saw. I stayed. So I didn't hear about the game right away... it doesn't mean I'm less loyal than anybody else.

If my Veteran status of only 54 months was because I started when the game was released and left for a while at some point, then your statement would work. But we didn't all start at the same time, so we cant compare loyalty that way.

Well you can certainly assume my opinion isn't worth anything on this subject.

But when I open up the information window and click on the Badges tab on my main badging character and see that number at the top it currently says 1201. That's how many badges I'VE got. So regardless of what you care about I DO have a say on this subject.

For what it's worth since you brought it up I actually do also consider anniversary badges to also be "kinda" like a Veteran badge because they also have really absolutely nothing to do with individual character achievement. Why on earth would Captain Amazing, a superhero in Paragon City, get any reward for how long a computer game in the real world has been around? It was a silly idea to attach these things to individual characters from the get go.

Now obviously I'm not going to change anyone's minds about this. Heck even Positron didn't originally think the Gladiator badges should be counted as real badges but that didn't stop us foolish players from counting them anyway.

So if "a badge is a badge is a badge" to you then more power to you.
Fortunately some people's opinions about badges are more relevant than others.

Why are you telling me that you've got 1201 badges then? According to your own opinion, you shouldn't count veteran badges or even anniversary badges.

Right, and if no one counted veteran badges or anniversary badges then I'd still likely have more badges than most people do right now.

Not quite sure what Turg's badging accomplishments has to do with this apparent problem you have with me. Pretty sure Turg started this thread so that EVERYONE who's made it past 1200 could check in. Like you or I not everything is about him either.

I never claimed that my opinion on badges was more relevant than the Devs'. I just claimed that my opinion on badging was worth more than nothing. Not sure why you had to jump on me over this, but if it made you happy then I guess that was purpose enough.

If you really don't like what I have to say here then just ignore me. Attacking me directly will do almost anything EXCEPT make me go away. *shrugs*

Those are the same two I still need, but even that only puts me at 1199 with my main. My other two toons still sitting around 1185. Maybe by the time I get Partner I'll have my next Veteran badge and hit 1200.

Every time we ran it, I used Tabby or Robin, so they have the badge "several times over". They are more in demand than a lolRegen, so MB always got a back seat.. just like MB finally got MoTin and MoApex last night, but Tabby got them both the first day. haha

If it wasn't for Tabby and Robin lacking the grind to Fabricator, I'd probably drop MB as a badge toon.. then again, the fact that he's already "capped" would just make me want to get the new ones on him after Tabby and Robin anyway... so actually, nothing would really change either way. rofl

Dear peeps, don't let this oversight continue. I know there's more 12K's hiding out there! Please consider adding your characters onto CiT. It's fun and easy and has chezburgers. Plus, it's a good way for me to find badge partners.

Seriously, I love Sentinel. CiT just had an update which caused me to readd but it took seconds with their verification program.
