That alone kills pvp?
Well, I did benefit from the boost. My squishie is now more survivable by an extra 2 attacks. However, my res patron shield and res aura are practically worthless.

I feel ya man, my blaster has more resistance than my tanks. I sport almost 60% on my blaster and my tanks have about 55%.
Crying shame, I tell ya. But hey, since my blaster has that kind of resistance, the only thing I have to worry about killing me is another blaster

And your point? So does every other AT in this game. But if you mean Tanks have more HP, then big deal, the blaster puts out 3 times as much damage as a tank could ever do, so that little bit of HP won't mean a thing to a blaster.
All tanks are in pvp is a squishy with extra hp.

And there's no way your blaster has more Res than your tanker since IIRC they changed the curve so this wouldn't happen.

This is what I was thinking. Last I checked, Blasters soft capped at around 40% resistance. Considering the free 40% they get just existing is DR'd to 28%, that Blaster would have to be sporting well over 100% before DR to come even close to 60%.
Well it depends on what tanker you are speaking of, you guys may want to check that, because my Fire tank and my WP tanker have less than my blaster. My blaster even has better resist to Fire/Cold/Energy/Neg Energy well not on Fire compared to my Fire tanker, but the rest he has better resist.

Just to toss a couple numbers into the mix:
Using Total Focus since it has the exact same Act and Recharge available to both blasters and tankers:
Tanker: 197 dmg
Blaster: 240 dmg
While Blasters get overall more damaging attacks, and more high damage attacks, they're at most definitely not at double the damage of tanks. Not sure how that relates to lower damage tank sets versus lower damage blaster sets though.
As for Hitpoints:
Tanks HP: 1874, 3212 capped
Blaster HP: 1204, 1606 capped
So even if both were running 50% resist due to DR, tanks at HP cap still have twice the effective hitpoints. That's also not counting any Regen bonuses, since tanks would be regen'ing twice the hitpoints.

By comparing a single attack it doesn't look like much. But when you look at DPS, the blaster does a helluva lot more damage output than a tank ever could. Not to mention the tank need to be in melee as where a blaster does not.

With the damage output a blaster has, the extra hp the tanker has won't make a difference to the blaster. I've fought many brutes and a few tankers and my blaster has had no problems.

im assuming equal skill because i dont know you or your opponents, but given the answers to those 2 questions your arguement should fall apart.
This post wasnt uninformed lol. And yea people who play mainly squishes are biased and are voided when it comes to discussing this issue. I play all different types. Of course blasters and other squishes loved this issue because it basically made squishes tanks with less hp and made melee ATs have 3/4 the resistance they could have in most cases. I said pvp is broken because squishes are not supposed to be tanks... they are supposed to be squishy (this is y pvp WAS actually fun because if u played a squishy u had to have some sort of skill to be good) hence the term squishy. now with the resistance they have they shouldnt even be called squishes anymore lol. And since squishes have become somewhat tankish the melee toons dont do near enough dmg as they should be doing. This is where i came to the conclusion that if u took away the resistance debuff/buff pvp and kept everything else, pvp would be more enjoyable for everyone.
The only 2 squishies I see that are noticeable more survivable than the rest are emps and pain doms. Everything else is nowhere in the same universe as melees are for stoutness. I play everything to and what I see and what you are saying are nowhere close to the same thing.

You can switch fire tanks for pretty much anything there and it would still be true. There are just alot of really bad players in this game.

If you are saying that all that is wrong with the new/nerf'd pvp system is that folks just dont know how to play it, well, I can only hope I have somehow misunderstood your point. I do not believe that most of the old pvp players quit the game because they were unable to adjust to change.
