Today's helpful hint/rant:
If your level 18 and you play with a level 3... You get what you get...
I mean... even sked up a level 3 can't do Anything to help the team... except be Veng bait...

Yeah... not much more to add to this other than "hurr... AE babies are stupid"
I will be shocked if anyone disagrees with B_I in this thread. Well, not very shocked, since some people may disagree out of spite, but whatever.

Yup. I am currently PLing two Controllers via the MA. Why? Because playing them through the lower levels solo is like Chinese water-torture. I want to at least get to level 20 in there; at least get to Stamina. Regular teams are fine, but if I can't find one I head to Atlas.
Yes I said it. I am power-leveling in there. *gasp of horror!* XP Puritans, hit your "notify moderator" icons right about.... now.
Good job. You've taken jackassery to a whole new level.
Bad's compulsion to flame-bait aside, I have to agree with this. People act like going to the hospital is some kind of unthinkable act that should never even be considered. I had to run a Silver Mantis SF with only three people against Archus because an impatient jackass died and refused to go to the hospital even though no-one could resurrect him. He spent the entire fight dead.
My rule of thumb is to ask if I should go to the hospital once (because I've had people yell at me for not letting them resurrect me) and if I don't get an awaken, a resurrect or an answer within the next 30-60 seconds, hit the hospital. Provided there's no-one SKed to me, of course. There really is no justifiable reason for people to stay dead when they have been told repeatedly to go to the hospital.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

If the dead character in question has a Self Rez, that's still OK, right?
The Abrams is one of the most effective war machines on the planet. - R. Lee Ermy.
Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.
Usually my rule of thumb is if you go into a mish, especially if its MA, visit the inspiration vendor and make some wakies. If for some odd reason you cant rez urself, ask your teammates for help to make one. If you die while a fight is ongoing, then waiting it out is sometimes fine, but if everyone dies or the fight is over and no one can help, the pls hosp it. Nothing worse than a dead toon who wont hosp and leech xp until they lvl rez.
It's good to inform your team of of your self-rez/other-rez/Vengeance/Fallout abilities.
www.paragonwiki.com is a great source of information for this game.

OMG YES.
They should make this a separate 101 in the tutorial, not that it would help the dumb MAsses. Everyone dies, but you're not helping anyone by staying down.

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

Well, playing an LOLEmpath is your first problem.
That said, some people have crazy load times, and I understand that they'd rather not have to endure the load ->lagfest in AP AE -> load. Not saying this applies in all cases, but there may be a fairly good reason that some aren't eager to hosp. I've had some teammates with such obscene load times that I'd ask them not to hosp.
The real question is "Who cares if the lvl 3 is dead?" He's equally useful either way, and will level rez in less time than it would take him to hosp if your team is any good.

If for instance you are running the Hess TF and hosping means you get sent all the way to Talos, I can kind of understand that. Ditto for anything where hosping makes you leave the zone.... i think if you die during the TVolta respec, you get sent all the way across IP and yeah, that is a massive PITA.
But in the MA, for crying out loud the hosp. entrance is 20 feet away. I expect even a lowly level 3 to be able to make it 20 feet!
This is exponentially more annoying when a level 50 lies there dead refusing to hosp because OMG! 20 feet is too far to run. /FACEPALM!
You were PL them, so why did you whine?
Some of us have crappy loading times zoning in.
Still here, even after all this time!
A level 3 in a level 18 mission should not stay faceplanted very long. He'll auto-rez when he levels.

Because I wasn't power-leveling him; we had several level 50s on the team. And said team did not belong to me, nor did I know the leader. And of course I did not know the level 3. As a level 3 I prefer a sewer-run, but mileage varies.

Apparently they did, if they were nagging for a rez.
At those levels, if the team is moving well I just wait for a ding-rez. Otherwise I try to combine insps for a wakie, and if I won't get killed immediately use it - if I'm likely to get killed or can't combine I'll delete a couple insps on the off chance of a drop, then wait until the end of the fight before I ask for anything.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

This, for me is the path of least resistance.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
In the case of Hess, hopefully, the player is a member of a supergroup with a medbay setup. After rezzing in the medbay, they can rest to full health and then pick up anything they may need (inspirations, for example) and when they use the main entrance/exit for the SG base, they are placed back in the zone they left.
Now, I did Abandoned Sewers Trial yesterday and was very glad we had an Empath on our team. I don't know where I would have been placed for that after I died a couple times, but if it wasn't where the team was, it most likely would have been in Atlas Park. It would not have been fun to try to get past all those mobs in the Abandoned Sewers to get to the Trial Door entrance.
Edit: Just reread your post. My first paragraph would also apply to Terra Volta, there is a place to return to in TV after you go to your Base Hospital.
this is a deep thinkin thread for my lil brainz.

Calm down. You'll live longer.
Have you been convinced that PLing to 20 wont get your characters rolled back? Or are you worried about that with these characters and doing it anyway?
BTW, I have no problem with you PLing in MA. And I'm positive it wont get your characters rolled back.
Now go play "Impossible Kung Fu Mission" and enjoy the hell out of it.

Terra Volta is a seperate little hazard-zone in the middle of Independance Port. The respec trials take place in there.... but not much else.
IF YOU DIE IN A MISSION, GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
IF you are in an MA mission, if you go to the hospital you run 20 feet and there's the teleport-beam. This is not rocket-science, not hard to figure out, it should be UNCONSCIOUS KNOWLEDGE shared by everyone with two working brain-cells to rub together.
Play an Empath and let the demands begin! My Emp is level 18 and is of course not fully tricked-out slotwise yet.
*level 3 Scrapper on the team dies.* I had just rezzed someone else 30 seconds before and of course it wasn't recharged. I'll put more recharges on there later, meanwhile other stuff needs doing first, like END reducers. But I digress.
level 3: Rez plz.
me: I'm still recharging, hit the hospital dude.
level 3: Rez plz.
me: Go to the hospital! People act like the MA hospital gives you herpes or something. GO
level 3: [still faceplanted] Rez plz.
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
GO TO THE HOSPITAL
GO TO THE HOSPITAL
GO TO THE HOSPITAL
GO TO THE HOSPITAL
STOP LEECHING NOW
What, this behavior is epidemic now! If you are lucky enough to be a level 3 on a team with higher level people, be courteous in return for their hospitality and GO TO THE ****ing HOSPITAL ALREADY, instead of begging for rezzes, wakies and whatever else JUST GO. You can BUY INSPIRATIONS on the way back in.
