What's so good about Air Superiority?
It's really good for a power pool attack, probably the best. It does knockup and it does -fly, plus it does reasonably good damage.
As for Mids Hero Designer, it's recently changed hands as Mids has retired from updating it and passed the reins to someone new. I'd expect they're hard at work updating it, but it'll probably be a little while yet.

It wont work against (almost all) AVs, they tend to have high resistance to knockback/knockup.
% chance can be seen in game drag the power to your chat tab and click on the link it creates or type in yourself like: [Air Superiority]

Think of it as soft control. With the exception of AVs, with enough recharge you can keep just about any other target on it's backside as long as you can hit it while you interchange AS with other attacks.
I used this to solo Snaptooth down on Unyielding and level my baby brute 10 levels from 14-24 and gather enough candy canes for all the badges and a complete set of Winter's Gift during the Winter Event. That's how good it is.

According to a post in another thread, Mids original designer is throwing in the towel. But, someone else is apparently taking lead over it, so we should be seeing updates in the future.
Also, check out the KB and recharge on AS. It's up every few secs, and can knock down bosses with each use, mitigating unbelievable amounts of damage.

As people have said: It's a defensive tool that happens to do "one damage scale" of damage. Which is respectable (if a tiny bit low) on a Scrapper, and virtually unnoticeable on a Blaster.

I take this quite a bit especially since I always take fly as my travel power. As already stated it has a great knock up capability and even without enhancements recharges fairly fast and has a good amount of accuracy.
On my scrappers and tanks this adds another good GO TO attack to my chain. On Controller, Defenders, and Blasters this IS my go to attack if I have a villain in melle range. It puts that villain on his back allowing me to move back out of range and then hit him with ranged attacks, holds, immobs, whatever to ensure he doesn't get another chance to hit me.

Some say it's good to keep AV on their butt, how so?
Why does it stack with war mace when it's a KB effect and mace is mostly desorient effect?
While I'm at it where can I see the % chance of applying the status effects? Mid doesn't seem to have them.
Talking about mid, any idea when it will get ugraded to include I14 sets? Gladiator's armor is not there.

vouche for that, its huge solo. Makes an alt that has trouble with a red LT all the sudden able to beat a purple con boss. Boss gets one attack you pow KD run your attack chain as hee gets up, time it right an pow he's on butt again, no attack, heck even miss time it he gets one attack, and you get to cycle your chain some more while he stands. And it recharges faster then a single MoB will stand.

It is probably a bit too good. Also I personally don't love the animation of the target - Knockup with a 1.25 Flip...from an overhead *Downward* twofisted smash...
Well, it's designed as an anti-Flight power, so the downward smash makes sense when you look at air to air combat.

To be comparable, it should be ~10% chance of knockup but keep the 100% -fly for X seconds portion.
I will be sad when it changes, as I do use it extensively, especially on non-melee characters for some in your face control.

Combine the decent damage with controller's containment, and it becomes a must-have for many of my controller builds.
I agree the backflip animation doesn't make much sense. Plus, the two-fisted smash is used by several other powers, so I wouldn't be against some graphical changes.

Like was stated the damage is meh. The secondary effect is pretty much what you get from the Kinetic Combat chance for knockdown proc, just more reliable. I think it fits what it is supposed to do. I don't see any reason to nerf it, nor has there been any indication from any credible sources that it is even in line for an adjustment. Where the heck did that crapola come from?
