Nice work killing the Mission Architect

So after the big hammer descending on the MA with the last patch I haven't really used it. I just decided to go back and check it out on a whim. Not only is it empty, but half the arcs I choose do not even start. I'm guessing that they were invalidated when the patch hit and the players just decided it wasn't worth fixing them.

So great work on wrecking the entire thing. I doubt I'll bother with it any more, either. I get the feeling it's not worth it, much as the mission creators must have.

We have been having a great time, both playing other peoples' story arcs and making our own. Since we weren't using the MA for farming, our experience hasn't been altered.

Regarding the arcs that wouldnt start, did you sent them a tell letting them know that they were broken? Cleaning up the litter on the streets is something everyone can do.

I actually saw a lot of people in the Galaxy City building last night on Infinity, which is unusual even for the pre-Posi-post world. So I don't know if I'd let a sample size of one dictate your opinion.

I've been running tons of MArcs on different servers. Never really have to wait long to get a team.

My MArc got broken on the last patch, so I fixed it and republished.

That seems to be exactly what you just did or attempted to do.

Quoted for fail.

Yesterday was the first time I went and ran missions outside of AE since its release.

Funny, I'm still playing it the same way I was before. No change at all that I can see, except for the rare occasion when I run across on that has been invalidated.

It depends on what zone I'm in as to whether the AE building is crowded or not. A lot of AE players flock to the lower level zones, leaving the AE buildings mid-level zones emptier. But then, this has been true from the start; nothing has changed there either, from what I've seen. Experience may vary.

What's with the extended complaining from the Farm Bureau? MA's peak farmability was only a short time during the 5-year history of this game -- it's not like they removed Scrappers from the game, or anything that was part of the game culture longer than 3 weeks -- hell, you could have gone on vacation and missed the entire thing! -- and yet a subset of the playerbase is just elaborately bitter about it.

More like they left. The ones still here and talking just don't like the way it was handled.

I think james tried to use a sample size of two, actually. He used that sample size not to try to argue that MiA was busy or dead, but to show that you can't use a small sample size to demonstrate anything.

OP is just another DOOOOOM spreader, trying to stir things back up.

The Broadcast in AP on Virtue scrolls by so fast with requests for MA teams, anyone trying to read it would have a tough time.

The only people that got hurt were those that were exploiting and good riddance to them anyway.

Edited because I can't spell

I have a hard time believing that. I think they're still here, complaining. It makes no sense at all to crank out a bunch of six-hour level 50s so fast you don't even buy enhancements for them, and then leave because you can't make more. Stay and slot out and play those 50s you worked so frantically to get, and complain a lot.

Thanks for the good community service! I was quite busy on the weekend, and didn't have time to check out the latest patch, but thanks to your warning, the first thing I'm going to do tonight when I get home is check and see if my Story Arc needs fixing!

Good job there mate!

Oh btw >,< a fix that works for some arcs that won't start -

Ie: not all of them that won't start are actually invalidated - though some certainly are -

Start an arc that does work, then drop it, then start the one you wanted. If it's invalidated it still won't go; but there seems to be a bug I run across now and then that won't start arcs that I know are working.
