5 Level Pact Slots: For Sale in Influence/Infamy.

I plan on making a sort of "super-team" of a X/Kin and 4 Necro/Pain MMs. I similarly made a team of 5 Thug/Storms. They leveled really really fast. I realized I could level pact my new team of MMs to slow down their leveling and prolong the funnitude. I further realized I could sell those level pact slots. So here I am

Here's the scoop. I'll have 5 characters. Starting in January they will probably get to 50 within 1 or 2 months level pacted to other characters who don't even play. I will be auctioning each of those level pact slots for Influence/Infamy. The top 5 bidders will each pay the amount of the 5th place bidder. I'm unsure if I will start them on Virtue or Justice. You'd make a villain, level pact to one of my 5, then just sit back and wait 'till you have a 50. I'd prefer you not to play your guy, but its not a big deal if you do. If three of my 5 are within 2 levels I can Sidekick/exemp into a fine team. I'm going to consider Infamy worth 1.35 Influence.

Disclaimer: Hopefully this is allowed in game. I sent a PM, realized it was a holiday, got impatient and figured I could just remove my post if this is not allowed. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who can vouch for my services. If for some reason I collect your money and don't get your character to 50, or I break the pact, or decide to quit or whatever I'll give a full refund. Even if I stop at level 30 or something. I estimate 1 or 2 months to 50. It may be much faster or slightly longer.

Anyone have any interest in getting a level 50 Villain on maybe Justice or Virtue without putting in any work?

I'm usually in your camp on many things, but how is this not exploitive PowerLeveling for a fee?

I realize the distinction that the "fee" is play money, so basically, you're virtual RMT???

I'll be curious to see the dev's position on this one, but it seems like a bit of a slippery slope
to me...

I'd probably bid on heroside, solely to unlock Khelds, 'cause I'd never play the toon. Villainside, though....maybe, not worth as much to me. I'll see what it's worth to others first.

I think, though, you're going to get swatted for this one first. I'm sure the devs won't like level pacts for PLing.

I figure the slope ends at "in game" for "in game". But I can see it coming out the other way. If so I'll just have to pick 5 "friends" to level pact

So the selling of your "secrets" didn't go over so well, now we get this. Brilliant!!!

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Interesting idea - good luck with this.

Given that my highest level villain is around 18, this is the only way I'm likely to unlock the VEAT's before 2010. From a purely financial point of view, given the earning potential of a 50 vs a level 18, I could pay tens of millions and the 50 would pay for itself in a few months. Given the reality of only having a level 18 villain, and needing to equip that level 50 from scratch, I don't think I can afford to offer much more than a million infamy.

I'd recommend if you do this on Justice to join "Justice Powerlevel" global chat and contact a mod to see if they can change the MoTD to advertise this service. May be something more PLers will jump on board and do.

This is a pretty smart idea and if I didn't have 30 level 50's I might be inclined to bid for a pact.

And to think some people make the claim that I13 was well thought out.

I expect this is going to be giant improvement for the RMT people.

Bear in mind, from an end user standpoint, it doesn't matter what server this is done on. You can transfer your shiny new 50 to the server of your choice for the modest fee of $9.99.

I'm tempted to have you run a SS/Fire for me. I'd like to have one at 50, but I have no interest in actually playing one until it's purpled.

I'll start the bidding at 10 million infamy.

Well this would be about the only way I will ever get a VEAT, so I may be interested pending this is deemed acceptable to the powers that be.

Don't see why they wouldn't allow it considering if you've ever spent five minutes in Peregrine Island on Freedom. Power Levelers are constantly bidding out farm rides for influence. You pay them something like 2mill for a single run (average fee). Quite frankly though I'm more likely just to pact two of my own characters and have one PL'd and get two 50's for the price of one on free farms so...

You actually "Quintuple box" 5 accounts at the same time? Holy cow!

I was going to do this with 2-3 of my accts on the next 2xp weekend, but just for myself Level pact some toons, farm like crazy. But I thought I was extreme with 3 accts lols.

Why Pain MMs btw? Set is weak IMHO compared to Dark or even /Traps depending how bad the ultimate nerfs are.

Of course the thread is no longer around so I cannot get the answer...

In the past couple months Niv locked a post here where someone was selling the costume code from one of the conventions for inf. So I am betting they will say this is a no no as far as the rules go.

I don't really understand/agree with that decision nor would I agree if they said this was also a no no.

But all that aside, when in a pact, does the logged out party get a cut of the inf or just exp?

Have you ever tried to kill someone with 75% resist all and +1600% regen?
Because that is what this entire group of MMs and their pets will running permanently.

I think just the XP.

Which leads me to the point: I'm willing to SELL people a levelpact spot so that they can slow themselves down. If I'm going to levelpact so that you can double the inf:xp ratio and get twice as many drops per level, then I expect to get a cut on those benefits.

I thought screenshots show inf being spread over level pact as well. Might want to take that into account when pricing if that is the case (i dunno how SG mode would affect it)

My first thought upon reading this was pretty much the same.

"Wait, So... you want people to pay you for this "service"?
While you'll (effectively) be getting twice as many Salvage & Recipe Drops (especially in the lower & mid level 'sweet spot' - so far as recipes go), and Merits, and Inf!

/facepalm

That's gotta be simultaneously - the most brilliant & idiotic scam I've heard somebody try to pull-off in a long fraking time.

Good luck with that, If people really do end up paying YOU Influence or Infamy for this "service" - they deserve to get grifted like this.
I suppose it could be seen as a "Social Darwinism Tax".
*sigh*

Hehe. I bid three infamy.

I wonder how long before people start randomly requesting pacts with new people in Atlas, hoping the random person that clicks "yes" will level a toon they never play.

I can see the spam in Talos or PI. Looking for a pact with a frequent player! Please! I need to hit X lvl by the end of the month.

Well, villainside I wouldn't pay more than 2 million. Probably not enough to make it worth it to you, I'm sure.

I'm not sure there is an amount that would make it worthwhile for our mighty pink bunny. If he wants to do it for his own entertainment, then he will, and the inf bidding becomes more of a way of keeping track of how badly people want to join in than a way of making a profit. After all, if someone quits the pact halfway through, then Smurphy loses the benefit (if you can call leveling at half speed a benefit).

That's close to the idea. I don't really need the money. I do want to slow down their leveling. I didn't feel like figuring out what 5 people to choose. I figured this would be fun. I'll let you guys decide what a level 50 with no effort is worth.

... and I'm an attention oar.
