I guess the question is whether slotting the -RES achilles proc into 1st attack and using it as part of a chain will generate higher DPS than not doing that.

Taking forever to copy at present. Queued last night. Still nothing 16 hours later.

Hi -
I upgraded my Catalyst drivers and in the process, apparently something got out of whack in the in-game resolution settings.
My monitor is 1920 X 1080 and I thought I set the resolution in-game to that. When I launch COH, the graphics are too big -- off the screen. I can barely see parts of the login boxes, and when I log in, I can't see my toons' feet or any of the launch / exit buttons.
I've tried running in safe mode, but that doesn't appear to help (it used to reduce the resolution).
How can I reset the in-game & launcher screen resolution -- is there a file I can edit?
Thanks. -

Re: Are people not liking Claws/SR?
Hi guys -
Been reading up a lot on Brute claws.
Can someone take pity on me and post a MIDS build that does the following:
1) Has enough recharge to run BillZ's DPS chain of FU, Slash, Focus, Strike
-- BillZ says that's 184% total recharge in follow up
-- BillZ says his FU slotting is:
Quote:2) Has Aid Selfmako's dam/rec
mako's acc/end/rec
mako's acc/dam/end/rec
crushing impact acc/dam/rec
crushing impact acc/dam/end
crushing impact dam/end/rec
Two reasons I did this are needing the recharge in FU for the fu, slash, focus, strike, repeat chain, and it gives me another 35.2 HP
Final stats on that are:
Acc: 80.94
Dam: 96.3
End: 80.94
Rec: 96.3
3) Has Tough but not necessarily Weave (can if needed)
4) Is Soft-Capped
5) Doesn't rely much (if any) on purples
I've been trying to build this but my Mids-Fu is weak.
Thx. -
Anyone got a softcap Claws/WP kicking around as a MIDS build?
At least softcap to Smash/Lethal, if not F/C/E/N.
Thx. -

Just because I thought they get the BU buff even if they are *started* during the buff period, whereas their long animations would otherwise consume more of the buff period.
I can try it the other way, it's no big deal really. The key issue is single target dmg once they AOEs are over. -
Was farming on my Elec/SD brute (soft-capped) last night. Good for AOE goodness, but wow really weak still on single-target. Even Thunderstrke seems to hit single targets like a wet kitten.
For PPP I have Mu, with the single-target blast and the Ball AOE. Maybe I'd be better off changing to GW for Gloom and the weaker AOE? Or are there better options?
I usually hit build up, run into a group (+2/+8), Ball Lighting, Chain Lighting, Thunderstrike, Lighting Rod, Shield Charge .... -
Quote:I thought the changes to AE had gutted the cheatyface mishes? Most of the really high inf/min numbers are from cheatyface AE missions. In terms of non-broken farms, Liberate is about it. Some people run the Possessed Scientist boat mish, but its a little awkward and depends what kind of Scientists you get.
I have tried to run the Scientist boat mish on my Fire/Psi permadom and it's just really hard (it seems) at even +0/+8.
I tried farming a bunch of mish last night on different toons (all at +2/+8) and out of what I had available, my softcapped Elec / SD brute really did the best. But boy does he suck re single targets. 2nd best was prob my DM/SD soft-capped Scrapper. My Fire/Psi is on a different account and I couldn't test with him. -
What are you guys farming? I saw someone mention Liberate but I have a feeling there are other missions out there that are better.
-
I just softcapped my Thugs/Dark to Smashing & Lethal. That's plenty good with all his other tools.

Anyone got some damage-focused Mind/Kin builds? I have an old 50 Mind/Kin sitting around kind of stripped ... even with IOs I never quite felt I could get the damage out of him that i wanted.
Willing to try again if a build looks interesting. Last time he was focused on Fireball/Fireblast in APPs ... maybe Fissure / Seismic Smash would be better.
Thx. -

Quote:/SR and /Shields have basically spoiled me from playing other toons. They're about the only toons I can run through ITF without feeling like paper.I think I've finally settled on Claws/SR. Maybe... Probably. I don't have an SR toon yet, so it's about time.
I want to like Electric Armor, I really do -- but the feedback I'm hearing on Energize is that it doesn't overcome the set's issues.
I have a few /WP toons and even softcapped a few to E/N (close on F/C) but it is very hard redside to get the right IOs (and very costly) to softcap S/L ... and even then, you have no def-debuff resist to speak of.
So I that means I will make a Claws/SR Brute. Maybe I'll strip my WM/SR to do it. -
Quote:Doesn't EA still have significant holes vs /SR that make it an issue? Toxic damage hole, no or less def debuff resistance, etc.?I decided to go claws/ea. I'll be able to focus more on damage thanks to EA's energy drain and I'll have claws' great mitigation to help EA.
Plus the concept I have going kicks ***.
I had an SS/EA brute a while ago and he just got owned a ton. -
Need to let Doms use the new "Ground Punch" animation for Tremor.
-
At work ..
Read that it can be perma with 200% global recharge. That's a lot
Any sense on how it is working in game - heal amount, is regen notable etc?
Does it "Fix" ELA? -
Grats!! But I think popping greens is against the unofficial scrapper rules? Sure it's probably a good DPS test, but I thought pylon soloing was supposed to be no inspis, no temps, etc.
I've failed twice on my Widow where 2 lucky hits in a row by the pylon put me out, where a green would have saved my bacon. -
How does the pylon not pwn the pets? are you standing at range and it just shoots at you while they do their thing?

Here's mine.
I'm not convinced Stalkers are really that powerful. This build cost a lot, and frankly doesn't seem to put out nearly as much damage as my brutes, perma-doms, NWs, or MMs.
