I think I did the math right this time. I've been in transit recently so I haven't been able to collect the monies nor make my guys. I hope to make them later today or at worst over the weekend. I hope to have the money collected by next weekend.
Was locked up all day yesterday with an IRS audit so could not get on.
If anyone drops out I will pay 200million infamy on Freedom..
LMK
I'm ready to pay up any time, the money is on my hero Loxias (freedom), so keep an eye out for him, or my global (Mine is @Dirae, I don't know yours.)
I don't mind the wait, though...it's given me time to decide what character I want to have leveled.
I'll pop on a couple times to try to find you. I've been a bit busy with other things and have been on ~0 since that ITF I ran with you a couple weeks ago, but it's easy enough to pop on periodically to see if you're around to collect.
The zombies are all made and I'm ready to receive the moneys. Contact me @Smurphy or via a PM here to organize a time if you can't get a hold of me in game.
I've collected all the money. Hooray! I'm also back at my regular place and able to play lots and lots at a time. Team Special Forces is in the 12-17 Range. I'll probably run the Cap SF a few times to get them all to the same level. Once I get 22-25 ish I'll take the 3 Special Force MMs and SK 3 Zombies at a time and won't play the Zombies together until they all hit 22 or so. So Team Zombie Army might start slow.
Team Special Forces has hit level 20. Relentless/Invincible is no longer high enough. I'll probably start the sky raider TF and run it at +5. I plan on starting the Zombie Army after Special Forces hit 22 and SOs. I'll try to catch up team Zombie to 22 over 2xp weekend. Then I can mix and match as I like. I've purchased 982 level 25 IOs so I can just shoot shoot shoot

I tried the Sky Raider Strike Force at level 21. That would be fighting level 25-26s on the lowest difficulty. Kind of like Relentless plus 2 levels... or the 9th difficulty setting. The team could do it but the damage was so low. So I dropped that, went back to newspaper missions on Relentless, dinged 22 and took a break.
At 22 I got to equip that huge pile of IOs I had in base. Restarted the Task Force. Six Special Forces soldiers fighting Sky Raider at 25/26. That would be like difficulty 7, or Relentless/Invincible +1 level. It was murder. My brother commented that Tar Patch wasn't even worth using. The enemies died too fast. A total mauling. We dinged 23 in the first mission and cranked it all the way to relentless for mission 2. Back to "Difficulty 9". We crushed the entire thing and ended at level 25.
We might be able to get to 35 before 2XP weekend. I'll probably use 2XP weekend to startup the 2nd squad. Mix 3 Special Forces/3 Zombies. Keep an eye out for Special Forces ITFs on Virtue. We'll probably look for people who are 1-2-3 levels above the squad and then run the TF on Invincible/Relentless.
That's... that's beautiful, Smurphy.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
ohhhh good to know... I mite be able to get my Rad/Sonic on that tf... Its my first and only toon on virtue
Good times. When we formed up a f/rad team, which was 5x Fire/Rad Con, 1x Ill/rad, 1x Fire/Son, 1xFire/FF, we were able to handle +5s from very low levels, and our standard MO from Positron on up was to try to engage a TF as soon as possible, and keep it at the level it spawned +4s/+5s (effectively invincible + 2).
*most* fights we could win against +6s also, but it was dramatically slower and completely unworth it. (In fact, since XP gains cap at +5, it is certainly unworth it!)
To call the levelling insane would be an understatement. I think even after spending one whole 2 hour session slaughtering villains and AVs alike (at the same time) in RV, we still hit 50 in ~45 hrs.

The team ran the Sharkshead/Renault/Leviathan/Temple of Waters/25-30 Strike Force twice. We ran lots of other stuff too. I believe the whole team is 31.
I just did a bank mission. We had everyone scatter to the winds and fly high. Then assembled to the door of the bank awaiting the "ambushers of death." I had two lowbie friends with me. They commented they couldn't target an enemy before the Longbow were dead. Back Alley Brawler showed up. The MMs had enough time to actually drop Darkest Night and Tar Patch. I think he lasted 3 Venom Grenade Volleys. It was a good long fight of... 30 seconds or so.

I was on your team last night as Remiss. I know I was only level 10, and had lots of patrol XP built up, but... holy cow! The xp bar was moving faster than I could track for most of the maps. I should've shot a video.
You should consider doing the LRSF when you get up there. I'd love to see how fast you can drop the FP with none of the usual temp power trickery.

Are you sure about that? Certainly if the level spread of the TEAM is more than 5, you have a problem, but I was under the impression that someone facing +6 enemies would get more XP than if they were facing +5's.

It's fairly academic, since the falloff from +5 -> +6, at the moment, means you simply won't fight +6s.
But looking at Red Tomax's page:
http://cov.redtomax.com/data/xp_division.php
it says "All enemies more than 5 levels above the player's combat level have a 2.0 multiplier."
And that was consistent with our experience, but I was only observing casually. +6s are roughly "twice as hard" to fight as +5s, as the "effectiveness of powers" goes from 30% to 15%, and your base tohit falls from .30 to .20.
Because we had 7xTactics, we didn't have a problem *hitting* +6s, it's just that even with 7x accel meta on us, hasten, and 5+ stacks of RI/EF, our damage made the fight very slow at best, and against tough enemies, actually dangerous.
And this is a team that would burn down +4s so fast that after putting up EF, I probably barely had time to tag a boss with the nem staff before everything was dead. It was customary for +4 minions to die before everyone could even fire off fire cages. We'd just teleport from group to group if we could. With just 7 of us, we beat Recluse and Scorpion simultaneously in RV, while fighting off several players. (Fortunately, no one had tp foe, because that definitely would have wrecked us.)

In fairness...that is exactly what is happening ingame now. If you go to PI on Freedom, people are paying 1-2 million per fun on farms.

I'm not sure why you're replying to me with this quote, especially this late in the thread...
If you read the rest of that post, you'd see that I was curious about the dev's take on it.
A few posts further down, Smurphy states that he received redname "ok" to do so given
the in-game nature of his "enterprise".
Assuming he's not telling tall tales about that confirmation, and the devs are not actually
against it - you may have noticed that I had nothing further to say on it...
What was your point, again???

Exactly. 1,250,000,000 is a good motivator. I want to take that monies.

1,250,000,000 Influence.

Meh. It's only digits. Never having had much interest in 5 more 50's, I was only in the running for the fun of bidding. Had I won all five spots I simply would have offered them up to SG fam-damily anyhoo.
With a concerted effort, one could have earned (and spent!) the 1.25 in the amount of time the bids have been running, if not considerably more.
Anyhoo, keep me in mind Smurph. Been a pleasure almost doin bidness witcha.
