Yeah, but taking the 140,000 accounts that we had as of the last quarterly report as average and multiplying that by 1430 days, you get about 1 hour and 15 minutes per day on average per account. Aggregate numbers get overwhelmingly high very quickly.

I hope we might be able to make custom bosses using the character creator, I'd like to see some more costumed villains/heroes as NPC foes in CoX.

I almost pooped my pants! We can make our own missions! YES! I will most likely never stop playing this game now. I've always thought that would be cool, but never thought it would make it into the game.

I am cautiously optimistic about the new player-created content. As long as it isn't ripe for abuse (Drek farms? HA! Check out this map!), I'm all for it. I'm sure there will be some balancing to the system (closed betas, etc.) before it gets launched, so I have faith everything will work out. Sounds like another server will be added to store all this stuff too
You know I have to jab you about the City Vault (), but I'm still happy to be a part of this game. And you're right Posi - a lot of us forget how much has been added to the game since launch, much of which didn't involve buying a ton of new boxes (although I wouldn't mind one new box soon ).

That's an average just under 8 hours per character.
As for custom missions, we will be able to pick the map and the villain group. Not the specific spawns. So you can choose Banished Pantheon or Carnies or Circle of Thorns, but you won't be able to specify Masks or Illusionists or Behemoths. And it seems reasonably likely that what you'll choose is more like sewer, office, cave, or warehouse - not special or specific maps (though I hope they'll allow a special map at the end of the arc).
It also might be that they'll limit the number of times custom missions will be resettable - maybe that's the source of the rumor about all mission resets being limited? If you only get to play 3 custom missions a week, for example?

My initial thoughts and concerns:

Will we be able to use an interface similar to base tech to make some detailed, original maps or will there be pre-generated standard newspaper door map type maps?[*]Will the missions be screened by Devs before being available for players to actually play on? I would think so due to concerns over appropriateness of content and to avoid super easy loot generator 'missions'.[*]Does this tech give us the ability to play the game offline? We'd need to test the missions, after all. Obviously characters that play through the missions in this manner wouldn't gain real inf, exp or loot but it would still be fun just to make something outlandish to fool around with. [/list]

In concept I'm all for player-created missions.
In practice, I look at a lot of the players I see, and expect to be overwhelmed with variations on these two missions:
1) Level 52 Family on an oudoor map. Mission goal: Rescue Farmer Jones and retrieve the stolen tractor.
2) Freakshow on a store map. Mission goal: The enemy PR0N L0RD is trying to steal a blow-up doll from the local sex shop. Go stop him!
However, one in a thousand will be rare and good, so that'll still be plenty of worthwhile additions. And hey, maybe someone will even create a villian side mission that feels villainous. That would be unique.
It's interesting that a feature that was asked every now and then get a chance in the game. I would never have thought player made missions would be implemented.
Any hints for anything else, or would that be saying too much until the future updates come along?

I wonder if this means we'll eventually get to see the Archnemesis System that was in the works a long time ago before it was pulled? I've always wanted to create my own group of nemeses for my characters.
