The Bronze Monitor pulled the fallen Troll partway from the floor and leaned his metallic face close to the snappy yellow hat brim of his captive.
"Chompy is getting hungry," he said, cocking his head toward his huge Venus Flytrap, "so I will only ask once. WHERE IS SISTER FLAME?"
"Hah! You hero!" said the fallen Troll, "You bluff! Me no talk!"
He was pretty smart for a Troll. But after a quick application of Seeds of Confusion, he was singing like a canary...

The Bronze Monitor indeed succeeded in freeing Sister Flame and helping her take down the mastermind behind the plot. What a fascinating look at CoH through eight year old eyes. Speaking as one who likewise had to interpret his kids' storylines into various media (I often had to take dictation to provide the written captions for the pictures they had drawn for their "books"), I for one feel the anticipation for this particular arc was well-deserved.
Woot for Disco Trolls! Sidestep's costume was another highlight.
It is interesting to me that all of the minor plot threads were resolved along with the main story.
Bravo to Sister Flame and her Faithful Scribe!

Well, to be technical, I wrote her words and thoughts down for her . Hopefully, as she gets older, that will change because I don't know if I could spend another 45 hours working on another MA arc for her.
Okay. You got me. You know I would do it in a second for Sister Flame.

Thanks, Tax_E_Girl. Sounds like it is good time to drop a monthly update into this thread.
As many of you have notice, Sister Flame now has her own arc in the MA. She and I spent a lot of time together working on the story and I lost track of how many hours (40ish?) I spent crafting the arc to her specifications. Thank you to all who have played and rated it. Sister Flame didn't expect more than 10 people to play her arc and she was very surprised to see it cross the 100+ rating mark. I read every comment regarding her arc to Sister Flame and yes... we play the arc at least once a week. She gets a kick out of teaming with herself.
After close to four years of playing, My dear daughter has still not lost interest in CoX. We still play about three times a week for an hour, but that time is going to drop as the warm weather comes. Sister Flame may be a serious gamer, but she is also a very outdoor type person and that means less time in front of a keyboard and more time on bikes and monkeybars. She often wonders if the "makers" (re: devs) go outside at all. I told them that they do, but only when the sun does down or else they would turn into dust. She laughed hard at that joke.
I noticed she's been playing blueside a lot more than redside as of late. I know she really likes her Mastermind, but there is just something about hunting Skulls in Perez Park that appeals to her. She's closing in on level 26, but she doesn't appear to be in any hurry to hit 50. In a nutshell, she's content with her toon and doesn't feel the need to go any further just yet. She's also been distracted with her new lowbie that she uses to team up with her younger sister. It is funny to watch both of them street sweep Atlas Park. They way the two of them shout and direct each other, you think they were trading stocks.
I'm glad I have Sister Flame to play CoX with. Everytime a doom cloud floats over the forums, all I have to do is team up with her and look at the game through her eyes:

That's pretty much it for this month. Apart from her little article in the City Scoop (which she is very proud of) and the trading card I made for her to show her friends, Sister Flame is still the same old girl that we all know and love.
Just a little taller, a little wiser and a little more popular (the last part was her words).

P.S. I haven't really mentioned the whole Going Rogue thing to her yet. I'll wait until we get a bit more details first. I don't know if she would get the concept of switching sides just yet.

I too have a child that has been playing since he was 4. He only plays now every so often. But has learned stuff from the game. Certain words and things like lol. I guess the main thing is he wanted to play so bad that he actually is able to figure things out on his own. Which amazes me. I think he learned the basics of the game faster than I did when I first started playing lol.

You could tell her that Takes Care of Pets could bring her pets to new places, or places previously only her Heroes could visit!

I've been calling them "clickers" from the start, but I just stole that from Alan Moore's "Top 10". Clickey Clacks has a bit better ring to it, I must admit.

I like teaming with kids because they remind me there is a level of enjoyment in these games that us old folks just don't get anymore. They take powers because they are neat and they really want a missile launcher from their epic because that looks really cool. While we might be passed that phase it's a nice reminder to see someone else have that kind of moment.

Hi all,
I just started playing CoX about a month ago. I had been playing WOW for about 4 years and change. I have to say, i love this game, and i love it because of what this thread has showed. The people in this game and real and nice, for the most part from what iv seen. After playing WOW for that long, and believe me, the people there are no picnic, its a pleasure to see a thread like this.
I will be trying out Sister Flame's MA as soon as i get the chance. Im very looking forward to it. I read this whole thread today at work <I get paid too much i think sometimes lol> I play mostly on infinity, so if y'all are ever in the neighborhood, look me up Might be hard to find me, i have a major case of alt-itis lol.
