In the summer we collect more Daylight, so it can be spread out during the Standard winter.
What makes me laugh, though, is that we spend more months in "Daylight Savings Time" here than we do in "Standard Time."

Nope, because of the daylight savings time, it's GMT-4. We don't want friends overseas showing up an hour off because they were given the wrong time

Well, I'm not sure if I should be worried or not... I figured I'd hit up this thread and see ten thousand people wanting to do unmentionable things to me. Instead, not a single word about the fact that I missed last night's RtR. This is unsettling. Did it go on anyway, or did it get canned...?
In my case, I must explain, not only did I take a 6 hour road trip through severe weather, returning while dodging flood locations and downed trees and power lines... but... when I got home... NO POWER. 8pm and there's not a damn thing I can do.
We're currently running on a generator we snitched but we only managed to get it and set it up about 15 minutes ago (Noon, Thursday). So I'm here for a little bit I guess while the generator's running, but the power is still out.
I apologize to everyone for missing last night's RtR, but unfortunately it was a situation I thoroughly could not avoid. Acts of nature can't be postponed until the next day, unfortunately. For anyone curious, regular schedule resumes next week (my power should be back by 11pm Saturday. Heh.).
Nope, no runs. There wasn't enough people there to even start, so I'd guess that even if you were there, it wouldn't have gone down.

Well, imagine that. Power goes out one week, comes back on, have a good RtR run, and now something new has come up. Looks like I won't be able to log into the game for a while... could be a week, could be a month. At this point, I really don't know. That in mind, I have to, sadly, resign from running RtR on Wednesdays. If all goes well I'll be back soon but at this point I don't want to sound too optimistic about the timeframe. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would pick up the mantle and carry on with RtRs. The turnout isn't always zone-breaking but I think it's an important event for the whole server to, should they wish, get involved in.
Hopefully there's a brave soul out there willing to take it up. It's not a difficult task to do... Just need someone to play the role of conductor to keep everyone organized. To whoever you may be, you have my sincerest thanks for taking up leading the raids.
I'll be sure to post as soon as I'm back. In the meantime, as Storm Tiger so eloquently put it when he was running RtR and I started getting into it... Remember the dead, but fight for the living! Man I shoulda taken up using that as my opener. I'll see you all again as soon I get things sorted out.

Sorry to see this. hopefully you will be back up and running soon. As for the RTR, once I'm back on days (next week) and we are finished filming, I will be back as usual. If it hasn't started back up by then....then I guess I will push and see what I can do to get it going again.

This might be a far cry to try this again, I'd be willing to lead 1 of these too if enough are interested. IIRC its 3 full teams of 8 so = 24ish peeps. Lets bring back the raid!
Due to uncontrollable circumstances (net went out), I wasn't able to lead the last RtR, sorry. Couple that with the fact that I rarely come to the forums anymore.. and you get this late response.

Well, from all of that time ago....I still remember of how to RtR with all the steps involved also group coordination. When Storm Tiger wasn't able to fill in, I was there a few times along with other people to take turns in running the RtR.
If you want a practice run sometime just let me know. I'm sure others are also willing to help in teaching you RtR 101
Just gotta remember, its strategy and how to place your 'characters' like in chess or Command and Conquer. The Rikti NPC were placed there to be obstacles and you are there to kill the king to collect your tiberium 
Do these raids still take place? I'm looking to get myself a couple of costume pieces and this would be a big help.
