RUSH the RIKTI!!
I have seen 3 or 4 go off at once. Suddenly a sea of orange names as no one can get completely away.

I've never seen that, and doubt that it would be possible to set them all at once. Too many darn Magi

Bah! Anytime someone says it can't be done, just makes me want to do it more. I mean, if it was some programmed limitation of the game, that's one thing. But just some measly mobs to overcome, that's just tactics.
So, how do you get a bomb? Do you buy it with Vanguard Merits?
No, you have to open the grate, fight off the ambush and click it.
My doubt lies in the fact that there are about 20 scattered on different parts of the ship. Most of the time they are surrounded by Lots of Rikti. Since a bomb set by a teammate counts for you as well, teams would have to disband in order to pull it off. That would mean 20 solo clickers and 30 others to fight off the ambushes over a very large and laggy area.

Hmmm... Is it possible to sneak them? I guess you'd need some power to get the grates down. Then could you leave a sneaky to pop the bomb or would they get pwned?
How many fit in the zone? I mean, I'd be thinking we'd need 50 or 60 to pull it off, at the very least.
Problem is, as soon as you interact with the bomb stealth drops and you get stomped.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?
A: You crash into another one.

Actually something similar was how I got most of my bombs for the badge even though I was on a team. Four Purples means that practically nothing can hit you while you take down the grate and pull the aggro off to one side. After the grate is down and the aggro safely pulled away, a person with stealth/invis sneaks in and plants the bomb.

Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
Hmmm I wonder if using inspirations would make this possible?
I'd say since I did this on about 10 ship raids that yes, this tactic does indeed work. It doesn't give enough protection to be able to plant the bomb yourself, which is why the aggro is pulled away from the grate and a stealthed/invis'd person is needed to plant the bomb once the grate area is "clear".

Heh. I'm sure it would work. Just messing with ya.

Well, it seems once more the lil 4' tanker is out for mew tail and keeps pulling U'Kon whenever he feels like it and not when everyone's ready for him. Not only that, he also took to verbal (well text) assault on mew saying a bunch of really nasty stuff.
So mew apologizes to all those who came out for mew event only to have it jacked by [censored]. We barely got through the two rounds we had because of them (like the lil tanker pulling every Magus he could find into the group of Raiders; how mature).
Mew'll try once again next week to lead mew event, but if they keep jacking mew Raids like that, RUSH the RIKTI might be dead. Mew just can't take the stress much longer. Mew's actually sitting here shaking from the stress and wondering 'they' keep setting out to ruin our fun.
Laters all..
>-_-<
Heh, U'Kon's gonna turn into a new version of Tug o' War.
I got him to pause at the edge... maybe we need more tankers Taunting the giant alien and we won't have that problem anymore (as our little problem child goes hurtling over the edge, unawares...).
Food for thought.
Still, it was a decent run, Storm.
My Stories
Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.
It was a decent run, but the 'problem child' and his buddies are gong to ruin it for everyone.
It's too bad you had to experience the B.S. you did tonight, Grey, because when done right it only takes one tank to pull the GM and hold aggro. He goes down fast, but that's when every one is ready....unlike tonight.
Storm runs a smooth, fun event that is well organized. But, in the last 4 or 5 weeks the 'problem child' has been taking pleasure in ruining it for a lot of people.
Tonight, the 'problem child's' so called 'herding' got my scrapper killed 6 times due to pulling spawns full of Magi on top of her, taking a few attacks then running off to get another so called 'herd' and leaving me with more aggro and incoming damage than I could ever handle.
Sadly, the 'problem child' and his buddies are being immature (as by tonights broadcast b.s.) and are jealous of how well this event is run.
Well, the smaller than usual turnout, presumably due to the holidays, made it more difficult to keep the badly controlled herds by said problem child in check. We were looking at multiple wipes/near-wipes per round. A few of us gave him a piece of our minds, but as clueless as this person is, it'll take more people to speak up before he will get the message. If we'd like to keep this event on the calendar, I believe we should take it upon ourselves to put a stop to this backseat driving. That means speaking up as a community and telling the problem child in one voice to ST*U when he tries to take over any future raid.
If somebody you're arguing with goes off the deep end, don't follow.

Was my thinking exactly. And keep reporting him.... of of course, I'm a grouch, so I'm with y'all too on telling him to ST*U as a collective.
AND, if all else fails, turn it back on him, if possible. See just how many mobs your tanks can drop on him.
What?!? I said I was grouchy wolfie this morning!

I don't know if dropping mobs on him will help. I was on one of the teams of people who were verbally slandering kitty (I've been having bad luck getting on nice teams lately >.< so I can only assume friends or at least people the tank knows (or with my aweful luck the guy himself (since I actually don't know who we are talking about) and if it was man I wish I had known to go at him in team chat ^^). My team spent most of the raid 1 away from team wipe. Regardless I really don't think it would bother him to be dead, he'd hospital or start yelling for someone to rez.
But yeah. Report the griefing. And don't think of quitting. Next week might be sparse to due to it being New Years Day, but we should be back up in population and if enough of us are listening to kitty and sticking together then there isn't much he can do aside from steal our big guy and really can one tank actually take him down on his own?
Silly question, are we still filling the zone for RtR?
If so, I have an outrageous idea.
If you spread the team leaders so that you knew who everyone was. Co-ordinate the team leads to have the whole team move to RWZ2 after the first raid, and then have a few people log in alt accounts to fill the zone, or have a few people hang back from first raid.
Might take almost as much planning, but if he's a big enough pain, it may be worth it. Let him run his raid all by himself.
Any chance someone will post the name(s) of the player(s) involved in the griefing over in the Praesidium's Blacklist section for review?

Um... okay. Knew all that. But what happens if you set of bombs in all the grates all at once? Does anybody definitively know, either from experience or from Dev posting? Is there a chance that something cool would happen?
