Synopsis: "There are many mysteries surrounding AE and it's time someone got to the bottom of them. Are you the one that can save mankind from certain doom?" This is a satire exploring AE on several different levels, both how we play with it, and how it effects us. With a few twists. Very script/contact intensive. Read everything to get full effect.

  2. Being unemployed, summer is bittersweet like lemonade, but hangin' out in CoH is certainly a good alternative to crappy television. Aside from the weekly RtRs that I attend almost religiously, and the Hami raids I've snuck into (my firsts evars, and awesome to boot!) and the almost-daily TF running... How could I possibly choose a highlight? It's all good. It's all been great. And y'all are the best people I know and like to hang out with. It is sad that summer must end, but that's ok, because as long as my account is activate... I'll keep having fun in your place. =D

    erm *cough*

It's been fun TFing with ya (a handful of times, even!) and I hope you (at least marginally) enjoy your non-summer activities. Visit us often. =)
  3. Let's see...

    Mare Aether, 14 thugs/ff MM to 29
    Shikei, 24 db/nin stalker to 28
    Inanna, 20 fire/pain corr to 29
Indignant Fury, 1 inv/axe tank to... 6? (rerolled, was 38 tank)
    Ignorant Bliss, 35 dm/wp brute to 40

And not a single AE mish. =)
  4. No, it's in 15 minutes. =)

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!
  6. Just for the record, I was being sarcastic there. lol. Personally, I much prefer going through TFs and enjoying all the content. And if Aero's a 'yes, sign me up,' then I am as well since our schedules somehow seem to miraculously coincide. =)

    I have either a NW or a plant/thorn dom I could bring.
  7. Depends... What IS the current record? I mean, we know we could beat it willfully, but I've seen footage of the bicycle races where the last person across the line wins... and... they looked grueling.

Put me in as a maybe for now, but I can't make any concrete promises yet. Weather depending, I may be obligated to chaperone the pool in the backyard. =)
  8. Not that my opinion particularly matters on the subject, but I did take the time to read the thread. In truth, I hardly know you, and also in truth, I don't mind that. Why's that? Because I'm antisocial. I know, hard to believe, the person who never knows when to shut up in the channel is admitting to being antisocial. So I'll rephrase. I have AS. I love people. Adore them. And most of the time, I get along with them great. But there are often times when I just happen to miss cues that others consider to be blatantly obvious, and this makes me weird. When I make jokes, often as not, no one gets them. So I'm uneasy around people, and this is precisely one of the reasons why I like online. But unlike those who'd say "get a real life and you'll do better," I live in the camp that tells me if the internet hadn't been there for me, I would have killed myself twelve years ago, just because I couldn't cope with all these strange, senseless people around me.

It's better now. In fact, I think things are great, but anyone that knows me well from the JS channel won't be surprised to hear that I have AS. And I appreciate the fact that nearly all of the people in JS, no matter their walk in life, are happy to give people a chance, and mature enough to even offer up a second chance. I don't think I've ever struck out with anyone in the channel, but I do worry about it often. I suppose that's what makes me different from you... When I realize I went too far, I get upset, and I get extremely quiet. I go over it in my head a hundred times and try to comprehend what went wrong. And then I decide that next time, I'll be ready. I'll catch that cue. And then next time... I miss it entirely. It's so... frustrating. But I never give up trying, because I know, at least in my case, beating AS is an unfair, but not too difficult challenge. How you decide to work with it is up to you, and I'm certainly not a 'success case' so I have no right to judge. My point...

These are good people here. They all have feelings that can be hurt, and they have friendships that are very strong indeed. Somehow I fit in. I'm happy. And I feel comfortable enough, even given my apprehension over social interaction, to speak with people as if I know them, and I can expect them to... usually... understand what I meant, or at least smile politely, as long as I didn't step over the line.

AS isn't an excuse, but it's an easy explanation. You can point to it in Wikipedia, and people will read it, nod, and understand where you're coming from. Sometimes this helps, and sometimes not. I make it a point not to tell people generally because I want people to think I'm normal. But I'm not ashamed to admit it when the scene is appropriate.

Rambling again, so here's what all this verbage is trying to say: Whether you stay or go is your choice. But if you choose to stay, just as with fitting in with any other group or community in the world, it is each individual's responsibility to compose themselves in a manner that will generally be acceptable to most, if not all of, the people present in that community. I often fail at this, but I keep trying. And this is how I believe is best for me to handle AS. It's not conformity, but practicality, in my mind. *shrug* It's worked for me so far, and I'd be happy to welcome anyone who's making an honest, even sometimes shaky, effort to participate as part of the community. But we have to be prepared to get in hot water if we go over the lines and don't realize it.

    Just my two inf.

    Are You CRAZY?

I'd be interested, and I have a 50 of every AT. Problem is, I don't usually get online until 3-4pm eastern, so that's awfully late for a lot of people. So unless you're starting that late, I'll probably have to pass. =(

    Creator Global/Forum Name: @Elasi
    Difficulty Level: Medium-Difficult
Synopsis: Molly was just another student at the university, but in Paragon City, that doesn't mean much. And who are these new villains, and why do they want her? One thing's for certain. Molly's life will never be the same. NOTE: Designed with the intention of being difficult, but not over the top. (This is the origin story of my Fire/Therm 'troller, borrowing storyline from some of my other toons since they're all inter-related in one form or another.)

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

Well, imagine that. Power goes out one week, comes back on, have a good RtR run, and now something new has come up. Looks like I won't be able to log into the game for a while... could be a week, could be a month. At this point, I really don't know. That in mind, I have to, sadly, resign from running RtR on Wednesdays. If all goes well I'll be back soon but at this point I don't want to sound too optimistic about the timeframe. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would pick up the mantle and carry on with RtRs. The turnout isn't always zone-breaking but I think it's an important event for the whole server to, should they wish, get involved in.

Hopefully there's a brave soul out there willing to take it up. It's not a difficult task to do... Just need someone to play the role of conductor to keep everyone organized. To whoever you may be, you have my sincerest thanks for taking up leading the raids.

I'll be sure to post as soon as I'm back. In the meantime, as Storm Tiger so eloquently put it when he was running RtR and I started getting into it... Remember the dead, but fight for the living! Man I shoulda taken up using that as my opener. I'll see you all again as soon I get things sorted out.

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

Well, I'm not sure if I should be worried or not... I figured I'd hit up this thread and see ten thousand people wanting to do unmentionable things to me. Instead, not a single word about the fact that I missed last night's RtR. This is unsettling. Did it go on anyway, or did it get canned...?

In my case, I must explain, not only did I take a 6 hour road trip through severe weather, returning while dodging flood locations and downed trees and power lines... but... when I got home... NO POWER. 8pm and there's not a damn thing I can do.

We're currently running on a generator we snitched but we only managed to get it and set it up about 15 minutes ago (Noon, Thursday). So I'm here for a little bit I guess while the generator's running, but the power is still out.

I apologize to everyone for missing last night's RtR, but unfortunately it was a situation I thoroughly could not avoid. Acts of nature can't be postponed until the next day, unfortunately. For anyone curious, regular schedule resumes next week (my power should be back by 11pm Saturday. Heh.).

    *facepalm* The answer is 'yes'.

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

For those of you that pay attention to details, I'm making a quick change to the order I call pylons. I'm not sure why I didn't use this new order before... Oh well. It's only a minor change. I'm switching around 16 and 15. New order:

    12, 11, 14, 17,16, 15, 13, 6, 5, 7, 4, 8, 3, 2, 9, 18, 10, 1

    Sorry for any inconvenience. =)

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

Oh, I'm here, no worries about finding someone to run it. Currently 8:30 and no one else is here, however. *taps foot impatiently*

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

RtR continues on Wed. the 28th of May. Again, it will be touch and go depending on numbers attending. I am aware Badge had to push back his project to this coming Wednesday and I encourage all of those intending to go do that, to do so.

Those of you looking forward to RtR, be there at 9pm EST so that we can get started. =)

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

Indeed. I was just thinking RtR should probably rest for this week. With i12 so fresh and new, it'd be a shame to pull people away from the new shiny stuff. RWZ isn't going anywhere. We'll just have to make sure we hit the Rikti twice as hard NEXT week.

So-- bottom line: RtR today (May 21) officially canceled. Should resume as usual next Wednesday. If you see anyone asking about it in game, please let them know. =)

    RUSH the RIKTI!!

As noted in a thread elsewhere on the Protector forum, Storm_Tiger will be taking some time off from running RtR. For the sake of maintaining continuity in RtR events, I will be taking over in Storm_Tiger's absence. I'm not as good as Storm is, but I might get a little better with practice. Just need to remember... 10 before 1... *grin*

On that note, since i12 is in beta, interest in RtR is a little lower right now. We had an impromptu RtR last week and managed to get two good runs in, so I will be there tonight to see what interest there is. I'd like to see at least three teams on each run. Any fewer will prove difficult to handle.

So if you're interested in RtR, make your way to RWZ in time for the 9pm (est) start and I'll hope to see you there! I'll either be on Kiyomeru or Ganbou.

Storm_Tiger, good luck with your new project and enjoy your time away. I'm hoping to see you back here soon! =)
