What about new powersets for those of use with 'Trollers? Don't we get to have fun and try new toys out too? Where's the love?

I was talking to the good folks over at Curse.com. They let me know that their site is down for a quick maintenance and should be back up shortly and apologize for the downtime.

not meaning to be rude, but that is just restating the obvious. The page we get when we try to go their says that very same thing.
The question is how long is said maintenance supposed to take? I know you don't have an answer, it was more to myself.
Back on topic. I think dual blades is a great idea for this game, brutes and scrappers especially fit the idea behind dual blades very well. That being, kill everything you see in a spinning blurry ball of shredding death, and "arresting."

No love for a while. Love is needed somewhere else 
There's an interesting point with regard to the length of the swords. In most of the shots they look fine, standard sabre length. In the one with the blond they look *huge*!
I'm thinking she's a very small character, and that the blades don't resize to her body. Thus they look really big - in that shot only.
Is this an issue with other sword types in-game? I hadn't particularly noticed.

Exactly what I was going to say.
They just don't really look feasible, I wanted to try them but they just look absurdly long and thin. A katana was a two handed weapon for most people, using two (which is what they look like) is just not right.

dual blades = bad idea, don't like the idea, just the devs giving into constant complaining for a "omg i want a k00l looking powerset" from the army of anime loving nerd fanboyss of the CoX series. Would wrather see a more brutal power set like a warhammer or something

Aside from that, I'm fairly meh about the blades. My initial reaction was "oh look, it's like the katana set times two!" which was really not what I was looking forward to. I personally would have liked the blades to be a bit shorter and much wider.

Dont' really care to read through the entire thread to see what the concensus is, but while I'm stoked at the new powerset of Dual Blades, I'm pretty disappointed in the swords themselves. They look like a cross between a cutlass and a saber (and can't make up it's mind) whereas I envisioned something a little more "ninja-like". Straight swords is really awesome...these just look like an excuse to finally use the Pirate costume options.
Either way, I'm happy to see the new powersets.

Hmm, color me confused.
Why wasn't the set named Dual Swords? That is what they are.
Figured it was named Dual Blades , because it couldn't be called Dual Swords , Dual Hachets , Dual Daggers , Dual Kitchen Knives or Dual Sabers .
Change the set name to
Dual Swords . 
Pretty lame. I was really hoping the community wouldnt vote for another lethal set but they did, then to top it off I prayed that the devs would be creative and not make another sword set............. just great. We had our chance as a community to get a really cool set made and this is what we wasted it on. I really like Willpower but id rather choke then play another crappy sword set.
Maybe if they were the redcaps knives but eck twin swords? I just hope that the next sets are worth the time its taken, cause im really not very happy about the swords.
Ive basically run out of things to do in COX, my villan and hero are maxed out so until a good new powerset comes out Im sitting arond between lvl 50 content that comes once an issue.
Please hurry up and make street fighting or somthing lol.

Whats really sad is I have a set of those... I just wish the design was more stylized. My kid comes up with more exciting designs on note book paper.
The animations look killer though.

I have a feeling more dark elves will be invading both the Isles and Paragon City with the new Dual Blades. I for one think they look AWESOME.
EDIT: And before you folks say "gah! not another sword set!", keep in mind we haven't seen what the actual powers are, yet. I have a feeling it's going to be very different from Katana & BS.
Well.... my 50 ninja sword stalker En Garde is going to get a name change and I'll be making a "new" En Garde with the dual blades. It fits my concept of him better.

How are dual blades more anime-ish than a warhammer? Your whole basis for not liking them is ridiculous to me. Ironically, your desire for a warhammer is also "omg i want a k00l looking powerset"

If they made the swords twice the size of the wielder and hurl energy, you might have a basis for your hate. Also, a Warhammer would be Smashing which is in the same boat as Lethal so that'd just be a "omg i want a k00l looking powerset" too.
