Here is the latest edition of The City Scoop a publication by Supers for Supers.

This has been the 7th weekly edition in a row, and I for one am very impressed with the outcome of this project.

Also new this week, printer friendlier versions of this Issue are available for the first time by sending an email to our automated service at CityScoop7@the-swarm.org

Discussion and feedback for this week's edition of "The City Scoop" is located here. Please keep all your feedback of a positive and constructive manner.

Also if you are interested in making a contribution to "The City Scoop" please PM Hertz

You can thank Mantid for that. Really, that Mantis is a saint.

Glad to see there is a PvP section!

Arc 185502: Who Killed Snow Globe? a mini mystery Put together the clues to solve the case!

Arc 22832: And Hell Hath No Fury (extreme)
Will you be the key to the Knives of Artemis' survival? or the instrument of their destruction?

Yeah...well...um...the current version that's being shot out when you get the printer friendly version from the e-mail address contains a bunch of garbage characters. It's still readable, but it's not the "final" version.

Mantid seems to have taken off for the day, so it's probably not going to get fixed for a few.

Just so you guys know we're aware that the e-mailed version isn't quite final.

The person in charge of the Art section had obligations of a personal matter that detained them from submitting their work. Hopefully, the Art section will be restored next week.

While I appreciate the news from Closed Beta, was it really neccesary to have a from page article that shouts "Hey, look at me! I was in Closed Beta!"

I dunno, it just irks me.

Also, nice work on improving those spelling and grammar issues (though I still managed to find a few). I love the duplicate Horoscopes!

...I forgot what experience means.

I have got to say the city scoop is impressive - originally i thought it would just be a flash in the pan - but the entire staff is doing a great job - its a great bonus to the community!

Is it possible to incorporate that kind of notice directly into the City Scoop, since other sections will probably run into the same situation down the road?

Good idea! We'll be sure to do that in the future.

Nice Ish, everyone.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Glad the horoscopes are liked. Really glad.

Oh, the beta thing. Would it be better if there was no story at all? I mean, it's in open testing now and there's stuff on the updater about the invasion so, it just didn't seem right to ignore the whole thing.

Help us make a better Scoop.

Bwahaha... Yes, I noticed Scorn got in and played with Lady A's horoscopes.

*snicker*

Scorn's not exactly nice, but you have to admit, she's straight to the point.

*hears knocking at the door*

... crud, I think she heard me.

*dives out window*

Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

I'm sorry, I didn't see it that way. We'd held off on stories about the Issue until beta opened because we didn't have any info other than the announcement.

My goals in the piece were these:
- give people a rough idea what is in the issue
- demystify the closed part of the process a little. as you can see in the Discussion thread on the topic, there's a lot of unecessary handwaving over the whole inclusion/exclusion thing, as well as occupying the test server for however long.
- show people where the Issue was at the start, and how it got better throughout.
- demonstrate the process so that the next time it happens, people will have some idea what's happening, even if they don't get to participate.
- let people know a bit about what's left to accomplish as we're heading into a big Testing weekend. The first weekend of Open beta is important. If people see that certain patches are yet to come, it may save them writing the 4 page post about how the Invasion event has problems, or how the missions are still buggy.

The last thing I was trying to do was toot my own horn. Sorry if it came across that way.

Also just to note, as part of our plans to get more people involved and put less burden on everyone, we're going to be building toward a rotating deadline system. Basically that means you may not see some of your favorites every single week anymore. We'll still publish each week, but we are trying to set ourselves up for the long haul here, and keep things fresh. If someone is more comfortable getting things done every other week then that option is going to be open to them, and something else will be out there the week they're off.

Given their lead time, would you rather have some info from people who have been in closed (and now open) beta, or read about the beta after 10 goes live?

I didn't see this as a "Oooh, look at me!" at all.

There is alot of PvP going on in the game. Excentric and I are just trying to show it in an honest light.

If you have an event, by all means PM either myself or Excentric about it and maybe we can get some coverage on it.
