Okay... question. I know publishing to hypercomics was mentioned earlier in the thread... I can publish to Hyper fine, but I still cannot get the finished product into pdf format....
I'm editing the heck out of my screenshots (adding characters, effects, and all that stuff), if it disqualifies me, then mweh, but I'm gonna make mine look as good as possible!

It would be really really neat if one reward was to have our featured character turned into one of the "major" heroes (like war witch). Maybe with a short show up in one of the official comics....and maybe even an NPC in game!

[/ QUOTE ] You do realize War Witch has ALLWAYS been one of the "major" heroes don't you? She's not a player's character she's actully one of the devolpers. She was in every single comic untill Top Cow took over and she has 3 NPCs in the game. (Croatoa, Pocket D, and mission to fight here but don't quote me on that one I've never seen that mission myself just a rumor I heard.)
I'm still waiting to see Apex, Hourse (spelling?), and the guy from the promo comic who appeared ONLY in that comic with Apex and War Witch. Can't remember his name but he was replaced with Hourse in the other comics.
Oh and seeing as how this is a "comic book" contest the wining comic should be published as part of the offical comics "in the back section" and their character that recives the title in game should allso appear in the main comic with Statesman and the rest. (the character they ask you to send a picture of but that doesn't actully have to be in your comic.)
In my case, IF I won (and that's a HUGE IF) my Admiral Shark comic would appear in the back of the offical comic book. Lord Imperial my level 50 DDD who doesn't actully appear in the comic I made would be drawn into the offical comic with Statesman and the others.
That's actully a good fit too sense it seems like Manticore is the main character (he's allways the one narrating) and Lord Imperial (who is me), looks up to him as a fellow non-healing Defender. I like Positron too but with the whole raditation "I can kill you if you get too close" thing going on I think Manticore is more likely to ack as a mentore for me.

I've heard there are unofficial emotes (like the waving, sitting, dancing, ect.). Could they be accessed and how?
Tell me, are you people too lazy to send prizes to non-US people or too lazy to figure out the laws in other countries (I'm sure my country will allow me to join)? I really could use some of the prizes (and I really mean NEED them), but because I don't live in the US, I'm pretty much DOOMED!
Don't take this as an offence. I'm currently pissed off there's YET ANOTHER contest ONLY for US people (and Canadians). I really like to know what's behind this "US citizens only"-thing, because I'm getting a bit tired of being left out on kewl things -_- ... PM me or whatever for the answer.... Meh!

I'm not sure what you mean by "unofficial" but this wonderful list from Mantid should be everything you need.

Since this contest is based off of screenshots. And since both the character copy tool (to test server) and the entire demorecord system seem to be non-operational at the moment I don't guess we could get an extension on the timeline of this contest.
My comic (now already written before I realized the problems), is relying heavily on the demo record feature working.
I know you guys weren't planning on these issues popping up, but it seems like a terrible time for them to hit...considering the contest rules.

made comic but cant publish it. and before you ask, yes i used the ghostwrite option on the install. tryed to publish to hypercomics but the comic vanishes. going to try to publish in school today.

Panic over, just took a while to work.
I tried registering with Hyper comics on their site (so I can upload comic to their site...it is only option I have after downloading ALL the software)...they have a bot detector called Captcha that is all over Google as having issues. Anyways it is one of those programs you have to copy down a random set of letters. I copy them down but get error message stating I filled it in wrong. Emailed Hyper's site and am waiting on response. So no posting for me either as of yet.

Ok following up on my post from last night...somehow got onto Hypercomics.com site and was able to register. Had some difficulty with my comic's font after it was up loaded, had to do a LOT of editing. The only way to do this is to make changes on original reload it to Hypercomics and delete the older version from the site. It was a slow load for me so I recommend patience in letting the site load etc. My finished version is posted but I am seeing some great comics out there so I am skeered to show it you all

I'm guessing... hoping that as long as it is a screenshot it doesn't matter how much you modify. I am painting little details in like bullets and blood. I am also making the screenshots look weird or different by adjusting lighting and adding filters and such. They are still identifiable as screenshots so I don't think that will disqualify me. I hope.
