Heyas
I'm still alive :3 I'm known as Ivory Oasis now online (I switched to a new name once I moved to LA to study art more).
I have been working a lot at getting better at drawing (and learnt 3d), and actually am trying to create my own little indy game now ( called Bloom, www.studiofawn.com ) .
Here are a couple sketches from lately
-
I don't use enhancement because my character wouldn't be sticking little round things on herself to get more powerful.
-
-
Yea, I have stealth on most my characters... but never use it (because, well, being slow moving from group to group stinks, and if i am stealthing somewhere, i use invis instead).
But, the REAL jem of concealment is phase shift!! that power is GREAT! Anyone squishy NEEDS that power. An ambush comes? No problem, shift out. A boss on you while no one is paying attention? Shift! Basically, it is a "I don't want to die right now, thnks" power... which is very very very very nice. -
Endurance reduction / range and resistance
I'm archery / energy , but tend to eat up stamina in a longer fight. So, the endurance lets me keep going (and using my conserve energy on extra long fights).
I'm also built for range, it is the ultimate defense. I can shoot my normally 50 foot cone farther than normal mobs can attack. I can tank lord recluse in STF while my team kills the towers (because, well, he can't reach me).
And then, the extra resistance just boosts my resist damage epic pool (which is nice). I don't normally get attacked much (because things are dead), but when I do... well, smashing / lethal resist is always welcome. -
Put in 1 teleport for the personal lair... a teleport to the active mission door. This would actually make them useful (beyond what a SG base does). Also, a craftable personal lair teleporter power (for getting back to the base fast).

I love it!
((And love the other disney stab at iron-man in younger years, thought i would hate that one))
Unlike a lot of hero shows, this one seems to actually have some action (and ant-man actually uses his abilities...unlike other ones he is in where he shrinks sometimes and thats about it).
After the first 2 intro episodes where they all go bat-crazy on gravity guy, I was hooked -
I loved that guy!! Everything he painted was always happy hehe. Happy clouds, happy trees, happy lakes... I wonder what it would have been like if he tried to draw horror o.O
So...I mighta gotten distracted last night by a Dr. Q taskforce >< So here one for today instead
-
It's been fun running into everyone
The last couple days have been a mini-marathon ingame haha, finally got my taskforce commander and level 42!
Andd, here is a sketch today P: ((I think I might do another later, this type doesn't take too long).
-
Well, after playing fawn scout some more... i ended up taking hover and teleport and a lot of sneak powers, which makes a normal tiny deer run into problems. Sooo, decided to make it a more spirity deer (i think i should just draw it hehe).
Andd, here is some arts
A fawn scout one and a construct doodle.
-
Bad news! I kinda have alt-itis... so have been making lots of different things....
Then, today, I went back to Fawn Scout (she was the last one I was playing before I vanished before).
Anyhow, picture for her((Yay for sparkly things and NASA hehe))
Oh, she has a tiny deer pet (they are real!! Look up muntjak!!) which helps her as she fights ebilHelps alert her to danger!
Quote:Don't worries, Dr. Mousey is really tricksy! bwaa ha haI'm also a bit worried... Just what will happen when Amerikatt sees Dr. Mousey??? -
Bwah, been kind of addicted to playing dr mousey lately >< But weekend is over! So more drawing!
Here one today
-
I was wondering, if you slot tripmine with the chance for +100 percent recharge.... does that trigger for you when you place them?
It would help out now and then for placing clusters.

Quote:But they said we could make our dream superhero! and mine is a super amazing immortal with NO weaknesses! Something hurting me means they aren't letting me be the super-best hero in the entire ever! There has to be SOMETHING in this game you can't just faceroll at.
-
Quote:Yes, forums, kindly do remember me, please.
Yes, I realise that. I'm not saying I should suddenly become this unstoppable juggernaut of destruction. But since when are MALTA tough enough to one-shot punch me? Like I said - I'm doing World Wide Red now, and I'm kicking their *****, yet all of a sudden I can't even beat up an Operations Engineer?
So, you go into one of two new taskforces which are heavily advertised at finally being a challenge for 50's.... and... are shocked they can hurt you? (unlike most the other content).
Maybe you had gotten so used to how easy other content is that you kept playing the same way as the "normal world". Running around jumping into multiple groups of mobs expecting to one shot them... everyone doing their own thing...
I have a feeling you also never touch the difficulty slider off of the basic low settings they are at.... "a boss on a solo mission??! wtfff!" -
My main problem... is it isn't really part of the game.
It is like playing a game inside of a game. It doesn't feel like you are actually saving the world or anything else, it is just a bunch of content removed from the "real city" as much as the devs possibly could.
That, and finding decent content to play is hard. There is so much clutter... -
Soloing used to be an option, simply less efficient and isolated to special things...
Even if you were super strong, your missions wouldn't spawn a huge mass for you to run through alone... you HAD to be in a group to get big spawns (or street sweep).
That, and people simply became so much stronger. Anyone can get soft capped defenses now, or HUGE enhanced damage through IO procs.
And the way missions are set up. In order to go through an arc... the game pretty much forces you to solo. If you join a group an they are 1 mission ahead of you on the arc, well, too bad for you.
In praetoria, it is either do the storyline alone... OR play in a group. Even keep running into key points which FORCE you to leave whatever group you are in!
Then, out in the big world... the chance that a group you find will have the same contact as you and actually be on the same stage is nill.
The only thing that players can work towards together are the farmable things like tips or newspaper missions :P
Yea, i think a re-thinking of the quest system would be a big step towards helping out grouping. -
Bwah, here is another version... tried to loosen up his expression and take out some fuzzyness.... i can't tell which one i like more though >< Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to tell hehe.

Quote:hehe thanksLove Dr. Mousey in this latest piece but will admit I don't think Praetor White came out quite as well as you've gotten us used to... For me, his head seems a bit floaty, disconnected form the rest of him.
But I love Mousey!Yea, i think i need to fix him more... he came out kind of fuzzy too. :| ill update it after i fix it
-
I haven't liked how they have been coming out recently, so did a cleaner one today
Doctor Mousey <3 Praetor White
edit:: fixed some?

Quote:That is so easy to solve...just make them type something.Your suggestion is heavily predicated on the idea that people actually read any of the text in this game. Which, lol.
It's like saying the delete button on character creation screen shouldn't be there because people don't read text :P Or the purchase and credit card info shouldn't count because people just kinda skim over all the number thingymabobs, so are going to be super shocked when they actually get billed :P -
Quote:Hmm, well the final battle anyone could join in on (without perma death)... but you are right the arc beforehand would be the steps needed to set up for it (which not everyone would be able to do).Devil's advocate: "Why should I have to risk my character's existence to experience this content? This is unfair to less skilled players who might die more often than more skilled players."
People are already complaining about the Alpha Slot for similar reasons (it takes more time for a casual player to craft for it, which you would think would be okay with a casual player, but apparently not).
So, instead, what about making it a taskforce? Open to everyone. Only with the alternate ending of a funeral playing if someone on the team has opted for the perma death ((They would do this by going to a special NPC and going through the consent steps, which would make them die at the end of this specific taskforce)).
The final battle would probably be all about how you need to hold off some crazy force until some device or backup could be made ready. Ohhh, maybe if you have someone who has opted for the perma death, there is a part where they need to go into some part of the mission alone and set off a chain reaction.
So, dieing in the TF isn't what kills you... it is the completion of the final battle / mission that triggers it (and, again, only for the people / person who has done the consent steps beforehand) -
Quote:There would be lots of warnings... big BIG warnings. Not just hidden down in the flavor text (not even in red :P ). Multiple popups, maybe even requiring them to type something in at the last stage.Huge problem with it.
There are a LOT of players who never read a single word of the windows that pop up when tey are talking to a contact. No matter how many warnings you put in it informing them that their character will be deleted at the end of the arc, there would be a huge number of people monumentally pissed that their character got deleted because they failed to actually read anything.
Yes, it would be their own fault, but do you really want the forums to be deluged with the nerdrage of players who screwed themselves and got mad about it?
After that, it is their own fault :P
