  1. I agree. Ditto. Sign me up, and all that :P Good luck, I hope this takes notice.
  2. Hi,
so I had these two ideas about Force Field that might make it more versatile and interesting to play.

Disclaimer: I really wanted to make these ideas realizable (is that a word?), so I made sure that whatever I came up with would not compromise current created characters. Meaning- slotting would still remain proper (now, it may open new slotting options, but the old ones would remain valid). I also wanted to make sure that the core of the set remains.
I am open to further suggestions. I will be explaining my views on things- please, oh please, do not take my opinion as superior than yours. I am very much not interested in opinion wars.
I play mainly controllers (or other controller type ATs/Sets). I have just found my calling there. I've tried others ATs though.
    End of disclaimer.

As much as I love the idea of FF and the bubbles (yay, let's go bright and bubbly :P); I just can't bring myself to playing it beyond level 20. I once had a Force Fielder that made it all the way to 45, but I deleted it; and I haven't had the motivation to bring a Force Fielder up to that level since.

My opinion of Force Field is that it's way too passive, while it's primary effects/functions do not outweigh that cost. There's a lot of To-Hit buffs and Defense Debuffs in game that can render FF less significant/effective. Furthermore, Empathy's Fortitude gives exactly as much Defense to All (amongst other valuable buffs), as Force Field achieves with Deflection Shield and Insulation Shield (and that combo does not give Def to Psionics).

So I've been looking at the Force Field set and this is what I came up with (the changes are very slight; but I think it should make it more fun and competitive, whilst not breaking it. NOTE: I will be adding commentary about how I think these changes sync with all ATs that have access to FF):

Repulsion Bomb- currently a Foe-Targeted AoE (12ft AoE), Medium damage, foe knockdown + 40% chance for mag 2 Stun. The power touches on being just right, so I think just upgrading it some would make it perfect for the set. Change the AoE to 15ft and make the mag 2 stun carry with the hit.
NOTE/BUG REPORT: Has anyone noticed that this power does not do containment damage, while Force Bolt and epic pool powers do (this being for controllers)? Has there been any explanation given as to why that is? Or simply, nobody has noticed because the set has not been played?
ATs and the change: It's basically the same power, slightly wider AoE, and the chancy stun is no longer chancy. Considering that it's a tier 8 power, I don't see why it's not already as good as that.

Repulsion Field- because of Force Bolt and Force Bubble, I think that changing this power would not create any losses for the set. Currently: a PBAoE Toggle, with AoE range of 9 feet (melee range), and Foe knockback effect. Now, the PBAoE has to be kept and the knock-around effect (there's no way to change those and not have the current slotting or the set itself broken). Proposed change: One-Shot PBAoE (AoE 20ft to 25ft), does foe knockup, medium damage; this at recharge of 60 sec (?) and appropriate end cost.
NOTE/BUG REPORT: Currently you can have Personal Force Field up as well as Repulsion Field, and Repulsion Field will still affect enemies. I think I've seen a video where someone could not affect enemies with Repulsion while PFF was up. Has this been known about or fixed? Or is it supposed to happen?
ATs and the change: It's still a PBAoE, and all ATs that have access to Force Field appear to be designed comfortable at ranged positions. It would give FF a more soft control edge that the set can fall back on when its defenses drop short, and if the player can allow themselves within the melee. The added extra damage is also countered by the fact that Force Field has no way of manipulating the To-Hit chances of the user. It can't drop targets' defenses, or their damage resistance, or buff the user's damage output capabilities.

So what do you think? The ideas seem realizable, in a sense that if the change occurs the most time-consuming change will be reworking the FX for Repulsion Field; current slotting will remain valid, while new options are opened up.
The set remains at its current primary condition, but the new options make it more desirable, and let's face it PBAoE Knockup- FUN to watch! :P

Awesome. Just let me know how you will be joining us (like character-name, lvl, AT, powerset). Looking forward. Have fun
  4. Hello guys, I hope everyone is having a good time and getting ready for Going Rogue.

Recently, I and a few mates started teaming regularly, and decided to organize an Imperious Task Force by inviting a few more people in advance.
However, I decided to organize a few more events as I've found myself with some more free time lately. I hope to get some fun teams together, and that everyone on them has a good time.

THURSDAY, July 22nd at 7:00 PM EST- Imperious Task Force (Heroes and Villains, lvl 35+)
    *Meeting at Imperious in Cimerora
    1. Dee.Ann- lvl 50, Fortunata Seer
    2. Repulssor- lvl 41, Energy/Energy Blaster
    3. Commander Udesky- lvl 50, Mercenaries/Force Fields Mastermind
    4. Master Lucifer- lvl 40, Demon Summoning/Poison Mastermind
    5. Zindo- lvl 50, Dual Blades/Willpower Scrapper
    6. Laylo XX- lvl 50, Crab Spider
    7. Blue Jeannie- lvl 38, Gravity Control/Empathy Controller
    8. Sure-Shot- lvl 44, Dual Pistols/Kinetics Corruptor

EDIT: Unfortunatelly, I will not be able to make it for the rest of the planned events. My availability for the game changed. I appreciate anyone who stepped up to join. I am really sorry to let you down like that. ITF was the only event that ran, so I'll leave that up. Have a good weekend.
  5. Thanks guys, I really appreciate that. No- all are valid comments, with some very vailid facts.
This lacks on being a guide also because I was very shy about posting it. As of now it'll be in revision and I will put down all that I think one needs to know/understand.
  6. Thank you Carnifax_NA, I will revise it. I guess with me not posting links it's a really, really good idea.
Also, Peacemoon- I agree with you about being able to solo easy and team well. You just have to know how not to go overboard, eh? I'd love to hear how your Mind/Storm differentiates; or where you would do otherwise.
  7. Since this guide is still quite incomplete/not-a-guide-yet, it's currently under revision.
  8. I've heard there are unofficial emotes (like the waving, sitting, dancing, ect.). Could they be accessed and how?
  9. Well, I hope so too. Since I will be adding few effects of my own. Good luck wolffie :P
  10. Can we create power effects on the image? My character doesn't have a certain power that I want them to use during the comic book action. Can I add it to the image by myslef?
The reason I'm asking is because it won't be like in COH.
And also can I come up with powersfor the characters?
