They will announce the winners on June 15th.
I'm disappointed by the delay, but I'm glad they are taking the judging seriously.

I would have to say that the announcement at the last minute of the last day indicates that the last thing they are doing is taking the contest seriously. If they were working fervently and needed another couple of days - I guess I could understand the late announcement.
The fact that they needed 3 more weeks and couldn't be bothered to let people know ahead of time seems more like they just forgot they had to do it.

Yeah, you could be right. I would like to think that it is absurd to imagine that they could possibly forget all about their own contest... but it isn't.
Still, if they hadn't finished their judging, for whatever reason, then I would rather they postpone announcing the winner than just grab a comic at random and declare it to be the winner, without bothering even to read it.

I too am glad they are taking thie time, unless mine was the one they grabbed out of the pile to be the grand prize winner. 
I just turned in my scores and comments on the top 14 entries, so I'm sure we'll have some official results in the not-too-distant future. 
Each story was graded according to 7 different criteria (storytelling, artistry, etc.) and then reviewed several times for accuracy.
I haven't heard the other judges' picks yet, so anyone could still conceivably win. Stay tuned I suppose.
By the way, choosing a winner was a REALLY tough call for me. I was blown away by the stuff you guys turned in, and often found myself wishing for a 'part 2' when I reached the end of a story. Great job all around.

So there's a top 14? This is good news! I hope not only the winners will be shown, but the rest of the other 11 will be shown on June 15 as well.

Does this mean the judging will require less time than previously thought?
I also believe it's a great idea to feature the finalists as well, in any capacity! From what I read, it really was a tough field!

Well, the contest is long over, but I'm still plugging away at my own CoX webcomic- the NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH. Issue #8 was released today at the site - www.theneighborhoodwatch.net.
I hope now that the contest is over some of you guys are still doing your own comics. I've been putting out NW for more than a year now, and it's always a fun diversion for me. Of course, sometimes I find myself using the game more for making my comics than for just playing. Anyway, I just want to encourage anybody else working on books to keep it up and hype your books here so other players can enjoy them. Peace!

Always been a fan of the neighborhood watch. I'm still grinding away on some ideas.
The draft of my I10-guide comic is up. It's less story and more just being goofy, but I wanted to try something more lighthearted.
I had a 3-part arc planned, but it originally had scenes from the first Rikti invasion. With those art assets unavailable, I'm debating on how to go ahead with them.
I also have special zombie themed story that requires a bit more /demorecord mastery. Hope to have it ready by halloween.
