Lighthouse posted an update that the new date is June 15th (under announcements).

I think his/her complaint is that it was kind of late notice to extend the judging date on the supposed last day of the contest. While I'm not exactly in a froth about it, I do think it was a tad shoddy. If you're overwhelmed by entries, you likely know that with 2, 5, or even 10 days to go. Waiting until the day of the winner announcements to announce an extension strikes me as mildly incompetent...but I might be the only one who feels that way.

It's no great shakes but I'm not even putting this on Lighthouse's shoulders...I suspect the ball was dropped at a higher level and he's merely the messenger in this instance.

You are definitely not the the only one who feels this way!
If you look at how many people don't even know if their entry went through and the total lack of respect extended to the people who worked hard on their entries then 'shoddy' doesn't even come close to describing the way this event was run (although it does kind of rhyme with a word that does).
I also agree that if they now need an additional 3 weeks to review all the entries it's not like they discovered this at 8:00 PM on the day that they were supposed to be done. It feels like the last guy out of the shop was shutting off the lights and suddenly remembered that there was some small detail that was overlooked - hmmmmm.....

Many people put a lot of effort into this contest - it's a shame that it feels like that is not recognized.
  2. I would have to say that the announcement at the last minute of the last day indicates that the last thing they are doing is taking the contest seriously. If they were working fervently and needed another couple of days - I guess I could understand the late announcement.
The fact that they needed 3 more weeks and couldn't be bothered to let people know ahead of time seems more like they just forgot they had to do it.
  3. I don't think a call for patience is in order. If the company self imposed a deadline of may 25th then they should have met it or sent out an update.
Based on the number of folks who are wondering if their submission even made it through I think that the whole process should have been handled better. How difficult would it have been to send out an email confirmation "yes we got your submission".
  4. I enjoy the team concept most. I love the super group that I'm in - Legion of Avatars and really enjoy playing with 'real' people online. This really should have been a choice.

One thing I find mildly annoying is the limited number of layouts in door missions. Is there only one architect in Paragon City?
