I just hit 42 and put 3 damage slots in Zapp and i had high hopes for this power. Maybe I just don't get it but, to me this power is useless. I hit a even lv bane spider commando for 105.1 with another 105.1 critical. I hit a random blaster for 150 and 150 crit. The only way I was able to kill any thing with this is to play scavenger like and hunt ppl on the verge of death. basically kill stealing. I can fly to so why would I use this power when i can just fly up and use melee or use tp foe and hit harder in the end any way. Don't get me started on the end drain.... the end drain is small in pve and damn near nonexistent in pvp. the end drain in this snipe power will never be of any use to any one. it wont drop any toggles that weren't going to drop any..... if the devs or any one else wants to explain the use of a snipe that wont even kill a even lv minion, I'm all ears. Npcs, blasters, defenders and even controllers shrugged off my snipes like it was nothing, I didn't even bother sniping scrappers or tanks. If this goes live I'm just going to get fitness and TP pools and be a better stalker than Sirocco could ever make me. IMHO Zapp the patron power S U C K S.

Energy Transfer : 188.6 energy / 97.7 smash - shield on

Bone Smasher : 55.9 energy / 87.4 smash
Bone Smasher : 40.1 energy / 62.6 smash - shield on

Bone Smasher + Build up : 78.7 energy / 122.9 smash
Bone Smasher + Build up : 56.4 energy / 88.2 smash - shield on

(Wrote up some +BUd damage for bigger numbers)
The numbers show that the shield has about 27% resist with 1 res SO, thou didn t calculate the perfect % yet. (base res must be around 22%)

The only bug it had when we tested it was when I was hit with and attack + dissorient and the shield went of before the damage so I didn t get the resist bonus and waf hit with the full damage. This is a bug IMO becouse you should be hit with the dissorient after the hit not before .. or donno how it goes. And as for we have no mez protection, every little sleep, hold, etc.. get the shield turned off and back to the squishhh

Looks like a BASE value of ~23-23.5% depending on your +, - or even SO level.

With the info from Chef, here is what we have.

With a Base value of 23.375% Res, a single +1 SO will yield 28.28% Res
With a Base value of 23.5% Res, a single +1 SO will yield 28.44% Res

Chef's numbers indicate 28.30-28.38% Res. With such a small difference in percentile points, I went with the 23.5% number on the Hero Builder for now (but I DO suspect it to be closer to the 23.375% Base) and will wait for someone to prove me wrong with some REALLY EXACT tests

Possibly stupid questions:

With the armor restaince couldn't you just go into an arena with someone with the resteted types of attacks and have them shot at you with the armor off and then with it on? I might be missing something but if all the boasts stay the same between (i.e. if using the same toggles and inspritations) the two attacks the difference should be coming from the armor only.

I could be completely missing something though.

Really Exact tests (for Resistance) = Arena Testing

So if you could do Really Exact testing on the resistance in something like 5-10 minutes (according to how long it took to find a sutable enemy) why bother with going into RV and trying to get the numbers from there?

Arena != RV.

Arena is the most controlled environment we can make. Yes, the numbers should match up between arena and any other PvP zone. Arena, need not fear random drive-by's.

is there anyone who has done the scirroco missions, that can help me with some info. Im on the mish where you have to fight the 4 arch mages in the cahntry, and every single time I do it at least 2 of the mages dissapear and do not come back so i cant complete the mission. Is there a reason for this, should I be letting fathiim and one of the rularuu assist me? Or is it a bug? I aprpeciate the feedback =D.

They're getting "repositioned" as soon as they start moving. They are usually all dumped in a spot near the opposite entrance. I've been bugging it two weeks ago when I did the mission.

Faathim's palace is big enough to make them vanish from sight entirely if World Detail is set at 100%. If you run around the outer walls, they should come back into view eventually.

When I did this mission, everytime I entered the Deathstar thing I was placed underneath the floor. All 4 mages were surrounding the AV and I was able to herd the mobs to him to finish it. The mobs were still targetable for some sniping too of course.

thanks for the answers i really appreciate it. I managed to finish it. I noticed that if you didnt keep attacking they would disappear so i just kept attacking nonstop. Off topic i loved the story line for this intial arc and scirroco was one tough cookie =)

I've read through all of the thread but I couldn't see if anyone has managed to test Electric Fences yet (the AoE immobilize). If anyone has, could you please answer these questions?

1) How does the duration compare with the base recharge?

2) Does it have a -knockback component?

For Brutes, a couple of questions:

Do any of these powers drain more END per foe than the others?

Is Mu Lightning the only one that returns END to you?
And is it more than the attack costs in the first place?
(net gain or net loss?)

Indeed, how do these end drain powers work? How much would my brute get back unslotted? How much when slotted?

for brute mu lightning, if i can 3 slot end mod, 2-3 slot recharge and set to auto how much end will i get net recovered? will it be a net loss or gain? my dark/dark will get electricity for the negative theme but i am already sweating for end as it is....i really need to respec again.

Just unlocked this set with my MM and tried it out on test:

Static Discharge - I really don't know what this power is for. Damage is pitiful, really horrid. The END drain isn't too bad, it's fairly noticable. The recharge really makes it questionable IMO. By the time I could use it again, the Even con minion had recovered all the Health and END he lost from the attack.

Charged Armor - I calculated about 30% RES. I very nice armor, it's made a very noticable difference in missions. My only gripe is the pulsing Scirrocco symbol it creates. I just find it distracting and it starts to really bug me if I stare at it.

If they are stronger, then how about letting us choose to be weaker by picking up hero EPPs instead (that we can also respec out of).

* The fact that there is so little variety is very disappointing. I mean, take brutes for example. Every set is:

1st power: single target ranged dmg
2nd power: AoE immobilize
3rd power: AoE dmg
4th power: pet

Wow. How interesting.

Heroes are going to be running around with Focused Accuracy not worrying about hitting other players, and villains will counter with what... a low damage crappy ranged attack? (and in 2 sets, the ranged dmg is delivered as a DoT of all things! BLECH!)

It would be difficult for these PPPs to be any more disappointing.

Is there anyone anywhere that has some numbers for the -end drain on Scirocco's attacks?
Keep searching, keep asking, no one seems to have any hard numbers, just random speculation.

Check the Prima Guide. They seem pretty accurate as far as -end goes.

It will be a net gain, as my unslotted Mu Lightning on my brute is certainly a net gain. It doesn't always recover endurance, obviously, so it's not something that can absolutely be counted on, but I did choose it based solely on its +END properties.
(I don't have the exact numbers, just the visual)
