Patron Powers: Scirocco - Mu Mastery
Thanks to both of you for he answers.
These statistics seem really low. Are these attacks at all useful? The hero epics seem so much better.
Just had to say I thoroughly enjoyed Sciroccos story arc even despite having to face 8 ebs. This was the second patron arc I did and not one mission was bugged nor did I crash once while doin my thing.
I failed a timed mission for black scorp due to crashed
it was refreshing to finish this arc with no issues
Good job devs!
The thing that bugs me is the recharge on the AoE attack powers. Ball Lightning for Blasters has a recharge of 16secs, while Ball Lightning for Dominators has a recharge of 32secs. Thats two times as much as the Blaster version. Also as many others have said Doms already have better AoE attacks.
If we look at the Controllers Psi Tornado EP, it has the same recharge of 20secs like the Defender version. The only thing that is different is the end cost of 23.1 to the Defenders 18.5 cost. Almost all EPPs change the recharge or end cost by a factor of 3. One of the few AoE powers that doesn't change in this way is Fireball in the Controller EPP. We all know this is due to the fire/kinetics nerf.
Now if PPPs were really better than EPPs shouldn't they have the same recharge/end cost as the true versions of these powers?
Just hit lvl 41 on test server with my SS/Inv brute
Picked up Mu Lighting
Inthe description it stated
Damage : High
Recharge : FAST
THAT WAS AN OUT RIGHT LIE !!!!
The Truth
Damage : WEAK
Reacharge: SLOW
Its has a slower recharge than ANY of my other powers !
I have it right now only Slote with one lvl 40++ Acc SO
It hits ...80% of the time
with a avg Base damage of -25 hp , With Rage -40ish,With Full Fury ..Unknown
Thats on same lvl minnion foes , End Drain ...ok
Taken to PvP zone
USELESS
Lil to no damage , End drain is not enough to counter Stamina , Range is short , recharge long
Unsloted this is a useless power
Sloted up with Six slots
3 Acc 3 End.Mod
This power MAY maybe work like a gheto Dark Comsumtion
But not for a few more levels and a lot of slotting
Sadly I must say this is all in all a crapy power .Not at all what i expected these " More powerfull "PPP where suppose to be
FOr a power that takes 41 levels ,8 Arch-Villains,6 Missions.to unlock .I expected much better
I could have kept Hurl for all the good this power does as a range attack , atleast it had knock back
Thats all I have to say about that
1 question though
Has anyone picked up the single target immobalise from the Brute/Mu set ? I probably should have went with that power
I would like to know if it is worth getting ?
well at least this is just on test
keep hurl on live
I figured that the Patron Power Pools might add some new powers instead of recoloring and boosting existing powers.
These are pretty much all of the patron powers:
AoE Ranged
AoE Immobolize
Ranged Attack
Ranged Snipe
Shield
Summon Pet
Hold
Ranged Cone?
Utility power (Power Sink)
There are no new powers. They are all recolors of existing ones, and they may be a bit more powerful than their powerset counterparts. Theyre not even good powers. Look at ones for heroes, like Focused Accuracy, and Force of Nature. Nothing the villains gets comes close to these powers. There are really only 9 or 10 new powers in the PPPs. They just do diferent, albeit useless, seccondary effects. Are the devs just lazy or are they inneficent?
There is a growing number of people that feel the villains are intended to be nothing more than playthings for the heroes. Like you are supposed to be a hero and when you get bored from time to time you play your villain just for kicks. So maybe they are afraid if they made villains truely formidable this might upset their itended playerbase.

If they won't let us slot recharge duration then these need to be some UBER pets.
[/ QUOTE ]Not even Masterminds can slot for rechange redux on their pet summons. That's because the slots for pet powers don't affect the MM's power itself, rather they affect the pets that are spawned in by the power.
Except there is a problem with a couple missions. The first one after a few disconnects let me in to finisht he mission. However for the "Defeat Serafina" mission there are several problem. Not only can you not get in at times, but once in. There is this spot in the mission where you disconnect, like a forbidden zone. They need change the map either to just close that section off or something.
I'm not liking I'm the only one facing problems with his missions =(

Um, Focused accuracy is relabled targetting drone and Force of Nature reads like a scrapper or tanker 38 power.
APP's and PPP's are both just relabel/recolors of existing powersets. Also, I don't think it is realistic to expect these to be powers that are better than what you get in your primary or secondary. The purpose of these is to give you something you don't get in your primary or secondary. Like AE immobilize or ranged attacks for brutes. Holds for stalkers and corrupters, etc.
Also I'm betting that the devs very much regret giving focused accuracy out in an APP. It was a stupid move in my opinion as it completely overwhelms the other tanker/scrapper APP's for just focused accuracy alone.

That's because mastermind henchmen are totally different from pets. Controllers, Dominators, and dark defenders/corrupters get Pets not henchmen. You have always been able to slot recharge reductions in pets and it reduces the time for the power to recharge.
So if they are giving us patron pets with a huge recharge and no way to slot recharge reductions then they better be giving us the ability to command the pets the same way masterminds command thier henchmen otherwise this is yet another example of a power that no one will take.

For MMs:
Static Discharge
-Unenhanced Damage at Level 40: 29.76 (Energy)
-Foe: -Endurance
-Range: 40 (Cone)
-Endurance: 18.98
-Recharge Rate: 32 seconds
[/ QUOTE ]
BI: 2.952
Well, it compares favorably to Photon Grenade and the like (BI: 1.77779), but that's still exceptionally weak for a power with a 32 second recharge and an endo cost of 19.
Strangely, the number listed doesn't seem to fit neatly into the Dev's own damage scale table, which makes me question the accuracy of the number.

Reference for Brutes:
Mu Lightning
* Unenhanced damage @ lvl 40: 33 (Energy)
* Immobilize; -END
* Range: 40
* END: 13
* Recharge: 20 secs
[/ QUOTE ]
BI: 3.602
Again, the damage listed does not fit neatly into the dev's own damage scales. What's up with that? It may be a rounding issue I guess. Anyway, for an attack with a BI of 3.602, that endo use and recharge are way high.

Yeah, I agree. 3.6667 would be more familiar.
FWIW, I have yet to see a rounded number in the combat log, so most likely any Cryptic listed damage number is rounded (up or down, I dunno). Numbers from someone with the power may help to narrow the sig figs.

This arc is one of the best ive seen so far. The story arc is amazing and alot of EBs/AVs in it. Theres one mish where you have to rescue Ice Mistral and get GWs remains that is bugged and needs the help of a GM. Overall Scirocco is a tough punk to take down even as an EB. The map that he is in is incredible and a wide open outside orenbega map. You all will totally enjoy this arc.

He won't give me the second story arc until I'm lvl 45. The same thing goes for my Dominator and Black Scorpion.
I'm curious as to whether this is intended by the Dev's, for it to be random whether you get the second story arc right away (so we can test out the missions ), or have to wait. I bet we're supposed to wait until lvl 45 to get the second story arc.
Anyone gotten a pet yet and can post screenies?
I had no problems in this Arc other than the missing map in the Barracuda mission. Well, the ridiculous amount of Heroes that I has to fight, but that's another story...
I dinged 41 last night and picked up Charged Armor. I'll play with it tonight and will report back.

Been trying to run his arc since the second day of Test and to no avail. I am still crashing out every time on the very first mission.
At first I was crashing on entry, but I've gotten through the door with the latest patch. Now, however, I crash without fail on the second floor and always at the same exact spot, turning into the right hand corridor at the first t-intersection on the second floor.
I've tried to skip it, beat the boss, clicked the glowie by him, but there is one left and it's in that room. Is there a cut sequence in the first mission? Is that why I keep crashing everytime I hit that one spot, cause that's the trigger point?
It's happened at least half a dozen times consecutively now.
So still no real info on the numbers?
I would love to have the protection numbers on the Armors, its especially frustrating because of the emphasis they put on the fact that you would get the real numbers....
Dominators don't need mitigation from their secondaries. Even if they did, there's ice (slows), psi (-recharge), and fire and elec (death).

Did some preliminary testing during lunch. It was a defeat all Arachnoids in Cave mission. Initial spawn (2 minions) was lvl 40 which is -1 to my Corr.
First Minion hit me with 39.34 Lethal, 39.34 Toxic damage.
Turned Armor on and worked second minion. That one hit me with 35.13 lethal, and 54.1 toxic damage.
Since it does not guard againg Toxic, I am working off of the Lethal Damage. It appears that it is saving me approximately 4 points of lethal damage unslotted (1 end reducer). I have only run the one mission with it so far. I like having a shield, I would like to see how it responds with some damage reducers in it, but that will come later. It really helped my durability when the ambushes came, and worked well with choking cloud.

the buff is intended for psudo pets, like rain of fire, burn, etc
not for real pets like controller's
