Supposed buff to MMs?
My two cent guess???
Your Henchies will get a minor "Taunt Aura" to help keep you from getting attacked

All MMs were told they would receive a slight buff with i7, aimed at PVP but useful in PVE also. Does anyone on test know what this buff is?
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, it's not aimed at PvP -- it's a general change. Useful equally everywhere.

Anything a little less cryptic? Can you tell us what it is?

This doesn't fill me with confidence. I am already extremely effective in PvE, I don't need any help in that area. PvP is where MMs need the help, and we were told that the buff would be primarily for PvP but would also help somewhat in PvE situations.
PvE I never have trouble with mobs attacking me and ignoring my minions, that ONLY happens in PvP. If something to fix this isn't what the "buff" is going to entail, then it won't be an effective buff.

I have situations (especially when soloing) where ambushing mobs will COMPLETELY ignore the bots and go straight for me. Even when the bots are clogging a doorway with lasers blazing away the mobs will try and push their way past to get at me.
I seem to recall some kind of minion taunting being looked at...

To add to this, it may be something like a Placate(interanly not where we go ivis or anything)...the more Henchmen you have out the less chance you have of even being seen by the mobs..
Things like AoE's would still affect you but nothign would really gun for you untill your meat bags start dropping.

How would that help in pvp? Or work for that matter?

Well...
If you try to target a MM in PvP, you can't untill x number of henchmen are dead....
That would help, well dur, by not being able to be attacked untill they eat through your henchemen instead of going right at you.
This was just a gander, grain of salt and all...
maybe the buff will be that when the MM dies, your pets remain! and draw agro so you can use an awaken.
i mean how silly is that? If lex luthor were to die/incapcitated all his employees would drop dead?

Yes, just out of pure shame for letting there boss die

You obviously don't know who you're dealing with. They have their name for a reason.
But I'd love a 'stand in front of the bullets' type command myself. Kinda strap my low level minions to me like human shields or something.
Of course I'm not entirely sure how helpful it'd be, but I would like to see it. I'm just pumping out ideas, they could have come up with something a bit more original though.

I second this. My Zombie MM has a vengeful spirit that sticks around, it's really satisfying to watch it take something out that managed to kill me. If everything stuck around, it wouldn't be that unfair. Taking the MM out still drops all the leadership buffs.

Well thank you for not actually saying ANYTHING about the new buff castle. Geezzz ya would think national security was involved in letting the MMs know anything about changes that are planned for them. Just give us a rough overview of the planned change already
I still say the best possible solution is to give MMs a 20% chance per pet that is in range of supremacy to intercept any attack aimed at the MM. Any pet that successfully intercepts an attack then gets to apply their defenses and resistances to the attack normally. Of course, any AE attack would still us anyway (assuming we're within the area after it hits the pet).
This would mean:
5 or 6 pets = all attacks aimed at the MM are automatically intercepted by pets.
4 pets = 80% chance of an any attack being intercepted.
3 pets = 60% chance
2 pets=40 % chance
1 pet = 20% chance.
This wouldn't make a huge difference in PvE, since we normally don't get aggro anyway, but in PvP it would be a HUGE survival boost. It wouldn't be overly powerful either, since we aren't able to move around freely with our pets (anyone can outrun our pets, and we'd have to be very careful not to outdistance our pets and lose their protection).
I've posted this multiple times. Just hope the Dev's are reading and giving it consideration.

I figured it out...it makes a whole lot of sense too:
Using an Inspiration affects all your pets, including yourself.
The caveat: it doesn't work under Personal Force Field, Phase Shift, Invisbility, etc.
There it is. Thank you.

That does make a lot of sense given the change that will allow buildup and aim to affect "pets" like storms/rains/etc.
That could be pretty cool.
edit to add: Although, those pseudo-pets only get the "buff" from buildup/aim/insps when those buffs are active before their creation. This might make this non-feasible, but it would still be pretty neat if they got it to work.

This sounds like a nerf to me. I hope I'm wrong, I really do, but a "general" change does not sound good at all. My guess, if it's not a nerf, is that our pets attacks will have the same affect as gauntlet like tanks have. Castle said gauntlet is going to work in PvP soon so the coding for that is already being taken care of. This way the devs get to solve 2 problems at once and tankers and MM's get a buff for PvP.

This would be a great boon for the ambushes(after getting a clicky) and Elite bosses where no matter how many attacks my Robots throw, I am still getting aggro. Just recently I could not finish an Arachnos mission with an Elite Boss(+1). I don't remember her name but she was a spines scrapper and everytime I poked my head around the corner to hopefully give my Bots some support it became a case of acupunture gone awry. I could only take 2-3 attacks and then had to run.
I even went and got 5 purples and 5 oranges for all the bots but it only delayed the inevitable. Anyways, the battle was taking too long since the Bots could do little damage and I could not support them with the Supremacy or Acid Mortar. I was just able to keep pumping Bots out to keep her at bay but I did not want to stay there for another two hours while they whittled away at her.
Your suggestion sounds great but for that very reason I doubt it would get implemented.
How about a button with a timer that would allow to bring all your pets at once close to you?

Personal Force Fields is getting Nerfed!!!!!!
What BS, now there is a two minute Recharge time for PFF, please petition this fast.
This nerf makes Force Field useless. The reason why select PFF is for its defense.
I don't recall Magneto from X-Men having a two minute recharge when he wants to call upon his force field.
PFF will be overpowered if it stays the way it is right now, especially with the new buff coming. I'm positive the new buff will repay that missing PFF ten-fold.

LOL Elite bosses are not supose to be solo-able. If your complaining you cant solo a elite boss the devs would be Happy as a clam. There not going to give you a buff to allow for it.
MM are Overpowered in PVE pure and simple. At level 33 my zombie/dark had soloed everything including Heroes, when they were heroes in solo missions andnot elite bosses or bosses. He hasnt been below the next to highest or highest difficulty setting since he was level 15.
Oh and those AVs and elite bosses keep attacking you through your pets because likely your debuffing them. Same thing happens on my dark, it happens because im running darkest night and tar patch on the AV. Same thing happend to rad defenders and controlers forever also, debuffs draw agro.
Perhaps, just perhaps, a class as strong in PVE as MMs are, shouldnt be to worried about being also strong in PVP. And should just be ignoring posts like this rather then complaining that they take to much damage to take out a elite boss solo. I do believe similar threads are exactly how controlers got adjusted in issue 5. And before anyone might point out to take my own advice and remain quite, i dont play my MM anymore it was to cheap and boring. I rolled a dom. And if any AT needs the attention in PVP its Dominators. So count your selfs lucky to get any beneficial change, cause Doms got ignored completely.
The new buff to MMs will come in the form of a new costume part: Body Glitter!
Speeding Through New DA Repeatables || Spreadsheet o' Enhancements || Zombie Skins: better skins for these forums || Guide to Guides
Oh PLEASE GOD make it an improvement to AI!
Here is a solution which would make my minions 30 times more intelligent: EVERY time an MM issues a command to a minion, CLEAR ALL THAT MINION'S AGGRO!!!!
That way, they would do what I TELL them to! When I say "goto here", they would NOT run right back to melee whatever was killing them. When I say STAY, they would STAY, without me having to change them to passive mode. I'm still not sure if cycling to passive and back to aggressive clears their aggro...
But regardless, the point of being a "mastermind", as opposed to "a loud guy with some minions" is that you use your superior intellect and/or tactics to coordinate your minions... which implies they should DO what you TELL them to. All the time... not just when they have not taken damage.
The only things I could possibly see is them giving MM more base hp and the pet provoke. Hp will be nice but the pet provoke wont help against that sneaky blaster/scrapper who zooms in for the quick kill. I will help in duels tho.
