Are you sure about this? The way I understood it, it would be 510 feet. There's a difference of 10 between the -perception and +perception caps, but everyone starts out with a sight range of 500. If the caps all but cancel each other out, a player will still be left with the base value, right?

Anyway, I use range, if i didnt then i would be stupid, its a great way to open up attack chains. Hit them up with ice blast+BIB on ur way to melee range then BU+Aim and BS+Nrg Punch, by this time theyre toggles are down (the toggle-dropping nerf doesnt bother me, its just a nice side-effect to have while I bash some1s face into the pavement) and I can successfully power push them and get another ice blast and BIB off.
As far as my fire blaster goes, factor in blaze to the blap chain.

I suggest that you consult a defender because, judging on your obvious lack of mental capacity, the defender could kick your butt so fast that you will forget all about the blasters and decide to move on to another MMO. Absolutely positive, if both players are at their respective caps, the Stalker can be seen from 10 feet away.

HO's make no difference in how hard you get hit. they only boost damage by 33% which is the same as an even level damage SO. They don't make your attacks do more damage. It only hurts more then AR because of damage types. Ever see what fire damage does to a fire tank/brute or ice damage to an ice tank?
I notice the difference between the damage a non hami 50 puts out,and a hami 50. The difference is insane,but listen to the numbers all you like.
Someone slotted with Hammi's is more likely to till be 6 slotted for damage.
It's a 5% diff, but hey that's a 5% diff. Stalkers don't have squat for HP so 5% makes it hurt so much more.
That and every lvl50 Blaster I meet in Sirens in ICE/NRG and no stalker has great resistance/defence to Cold Damage.

none of the stalkers have any resistances to cold, fire, energy, or neg. energy.
/regen have resist to lethal, smashing, and toxic, unless you include MoG which sucks
/ninjitsu have psi and toxic resistance
and thats about it besides having tough for lethal and smashing damage, so it doesnt matter what damage people do as long as they hit us we feel it all.
/EA stalkers can resist a whopping 10% of energy attacks after 3-slotting their resist with SO's
but blasters do 30% unresisted anyway, so that 10% is down to 7%
no wonder nobody takes the passives
i've heard there's an unwritten rule that defense is twice as good as resists, yet we can get crazy defense but a whopping 10% resist? [censored]

Hidden+BU+Snipe+Teleport+Hold/Stun/Fear+Plactate+AS = GG (if they have a bit of health left, then hit them w/ your 9th Tier Attack Power just for show )

Nope, Fly is the worst (in general) travel power for PvP. TP is a good secondary, but SJ is far better (for most tactics) than Fly is.

Heh...Fly+TP is the primo combination for stalkers in PvP. SJ is great for traveling, but not so hot for actually fighting (unless you're an impaling spine-monkey). And if you've never tried a telestrike AS, then you really ought to respec just to try it for a while. Not being there until the millisecond you begin the AS is the best form of stealth. Also, hovering overhead before you make the strike is a form of stealth in and of itself. I've been a telestriker since my first CoV toon (I have 2 L40 stalkers now in addition to a 40 brute) and lots of other people have been joining that camp lately. It's not the most common tactic yet, but it is one of the best ones. If SJ works for you, great. But TP+flight is very powerful when used well together...and it looks like it may be even more powerful once the patron powers come into play. I am, however, a bit irked we didn't get anything like Focused Accuracy...would really have worked nicely for my /regen stalker.
I can see how it works for a solo build, but that doesn't interest me much. Team v Team is my preference and in that venue Fly is subpar. Jousting with SJ is very doable for the melee attacks, just not AS
TP+Fly depends on getting an AS or a mezz effect off since you can't chase well, and there are far too many counters that auto-interrupt AS for Team v Team. Even with the changes to Hurricane its still going to be very common, as will the other auto-hit PBAoE's.

It hurts more because it TOTALLY and COMPLETELY negates your defences. The Acc/Dmg HO's plus BU/Aim = I have no defences at all and have less hit points than a blaster = DEAD STALKER.
