    Heavies in RV...

    If people constantly get into melee range of the villain heavy after this long and are surprised they get killed i don't know what to tell them.

    If that's true then why worry about secondary at all really, you're not going to be around long enough to worry about it.

    Anyways, comparing WP to regen and ninja on the basis that a "good" player hits someone and then immediately phases or runs or whatever doesn't seem valid. Regen and ninja were good secondaries because even IF your opponent was fighting back it was a challenge for them to kill you, to the point that you aren't S.O.L. if for some reason you can't run

    Heavies in RV...

    Blueside heavy was always better, unless you got a truly heroic hero that decided to stand right beside the villain heavy the whole time.

    Hero heavy always had an unresisted hold, and always had the ranged attack that would 1-shot nearly any villain. I havent played this games pvp in months, but i can still remember that.

    Wonder what RV will be like today

  7. When i play a buffer i never notice it because i'm too busy, but nowadays on virtue there's really only one guy/group that puts their life into being annoying.

    The majority of PvPers on virtue get along.

  10. lol....atleast you're not a controller. Everything everyone else got was gold and proved that the devs actually do care about pvp complaints (unresisted knockback portion for energy blasts).

    I have a spines stalker and even the impale "nerf" was welcomed. Nerfing all controllers just because of fire/rad/fire or fire/kin/fire is just wrong on so many levels. If they listen to reason and take into account that not all controller builds are godly PL machines, then the patch will be gold as far as the game is concerned.

    Atleast judging from how other people are posting...one AT is fixed in terms of their inherent.

  12. The costumes are a good way not to get bored, but i picked pvp. It just doesn't seem like a real hero/ villain game if you can't actually fight a real villain while you're a hero.

    Another thing would be the travel powers. You look at other games with near identical characters running around at 2 mph swinging a sword, no comparison. Need to be more powersets to choose from, and powerset balance in pvp so we don't keep seeing the same thing, but still looks better than other games.

    With a hero game, the sky is really the limit. There's NOTHING you can't do, no storyline you can't incorporate. If it's not neglected it'll always get better.

    One thing to be careful of, people playing a super hero/villain game don't like limits and restrictions.
  13. I've played a brute in SC and i've smashed a team of 5. It REALLY helps that the player builds were all completely at a disadvantage. An elec blaster hit me for 7 damage, 2 kinetics try to slow me..etc, i build my fury and smash them. This is with broken fury, which is why i chose claws to go up against something it was at an extreme disadvantage against.

    I've dueled brutes on my scrapper, and when i asked them how high their fury bar was, they reported it was at 80. Believe it or not this was after only a short amount of time, even with broken fury. I don't believe that claws would be at an advantage to joust a brute if they do no damage at all, so this would encourage people to pick sets that would, Ie: spines or ice.

    I know the devs read the boards, most responding often deny it as they state "Omg powersets are sooo imbalanced because the devs don't care!! lol pvp!" Then when i say that we shouldn't put lesser sets at even more of a disadvantage "Omg blasphemer! Boil him in oil! Witch hunt guys!"

    The devs would not rethink fixing fury.Clearly they know more than i do about the numbers side of this game, they only need explain how it's being balanced so that my question is answered. You did this, this is why i stopped. Noone else had done this because they are incapable of answering the question, they can't refute my concern, so they twist my words to gain ground.

    The devs would not delay a fury fix to annoy the people playing brutes, i know that for a fact.

    Silverspar, it's funny you're saying i'm the one who can't read what you say. It's also funny that you say you've deleted your stalker...the primary was claws right? Guess there was too much pwnage going on there.

    Manchu, if you're trying not to understand what i'm saying, it doesn't matter how i state it, and that's what you were all trying to do.
  14. Almost as good as a dev answer. I'm sorry the 15 fury per hit was gathered from the original post where i assumed the fury would continue to be generated at that rate, as seems logical when against an AV or pvp opponent with high burst damage.

    I do NOT have a claws scrapper, nor will i ever. Pretending that a scrapper can crit at will is just stupid, as was silverspar saying that scrapper defense was invincible in SC in the stalker forum. I've criticized alot of changes stalkers think are fair to the point the think i don't have a stalker myself, such as a perception nerf or giving stalkers blaster health.

    If people need to create strawmen to mask the fact they aren't good at what they do, fine, but equality between sets was mentioned in the pvp forum before and noone cried there. Then again, noone was saying claws was a threat to villains either.

    That's how. It's not just about scrappers, it was just a simple question for castle that the emotionally excited jumped on as it exposes insecurities.When you're prone to losing to something for so long, i suppose the words "unfair" cause many emotions to assasinate the logic in people who are overly sensitive.

    It wasn't meant to cause this much excitement, a simple question is all. If someone doesn't see the importance, by all means don't respond.
  16. Yea nice strawman, it's to be expected. You notice how villains were alot weaker than heroes to start off with? Know why that is? It's because the devs don't want to do another mass nerf like they did in i5 and i6, so they start weak and then buff up.

    What's the point of me mentioning that? It's that they are now interested in creating a balance that doesn't completely screw over a faction,or an AT, or a powerset. Knowing this, i asked them if they were considering...well you already know i assume. And if you don't, well....goodluck dealing with those overpowered claws scrappers.

    That's right. I don't want an AR blaster or a Claws scrapper to give me 15 fury per hit on my brute, because i don't want a challenge. Seriously man, Claws scrappers have been owning villains for so long, and dark blast is so overpowered that it's about time we got some payback.

    So when a claws scrapper comes up to my corruptor in RV, and i siphon his power and fulcrum shift him over and over until he's hitting me for 36 dmg, OMG nerf claws. Or when i do it to a BS scrapper, and he CRITS me for just over 100 damage, omg overpowered.

    Or i'm on my stalker, and a BS/regen crits with the ever popular headsplitter. I heal, i use my little hold that stops him from regaining endurance, and eventually i hold him. Omg scrappers are overpowered. Or an AR hits me repeatedly in RV or SC, and i just stand there because i know he won't kill my stalker, with controller HP.

    Best of all since i'm on the brute forum, is when i'm on my EM/Elec brute. I use tp foe to get to ranged players. Guess what? I have tp too to avoid being ganked, standing there like an idiot as someone whittles my life away. I have TEAMMATES to capitalize on the damage i can do in SC, which isn't that great with only total focus and bonesmasher, but it works. This is all without fury, and i'm still not crying nerf claws when they show up.

    My brute is lvl 39, wait till he gets to RV, gets webgrenade and teams with a kin. Nerf scrappers right? My corruptor is lvl 50, he's kinetics.

    If i'm the one whining, why am i the only person who doesn't think claws is a threat to villains? Or AR, or darkblast, or anything else considered gimp? In addition to misinterpreting wording, the opposition seems to be using a different dictionary as well.

    I can go quote what i actually said, but why do that if noone can read properly anyways. It's really not my fault if so many of you have been getting destroyed by scrappers that your emotions cause you to misinterpret everything i say. I play a brute too, and have been playing villains for the last four months. No, claws don't make me cry, regardless of fury bugs. If claws or anything else considered gimp makes you cry, i don't think fury will help you. Let the games begin.

    Well then i guess we're not playing the same game. Like i've said, i play a corruptor, brute and stalker in pvp,soon i will play a dom. It makes people cry that i don't list all my characters, but what's the point since noone can read? If you think claws is uber because it's a scrapper set (one of the least popular) then the devs won't be able to help you at all. Claws might get dominators tops if they have no support at all. Masterminds without BG up? Why don't you just say claws is a threat to newbs and be done with it.

    This isn't just my opinion, go post in the pvp boards, the stalker boards, the scrapper boards....anywhere you want, that claws is completely owning villains. See what happens. Then go to the defender boards and say the weakest set there is owning villains...see what happens. Go anywhere you want, pick the weakest powerset, and say it's owning villains or brutes because of a lack of fury.

    The dev response? "Lol ADD" "Lol L2P"

  22. My elec brute isn't too scared of claws right now. Neither is my corruptor or stalker. Why is that? Because claws isn't threatening in pvp that's why.

    Do you cry when you see an assault rifle blaster come into zone? How about a dark defender? See where i have been going with this?

    EA is also supposed to be gimped in RV, so what if a change for scrappers came out to make it even worse...good times?

    Ice tanks got electric armor to balance them....are we crying yet?
  23. ? You know i play a brute right? Difference is, i've actually played a scrapper too so i know they don't crit 99% of the time they punch.

    After this change, you should roll a claws scrapper, go up against and invuln brute and tell me how it goes. You can do that now if you like and see what goes on.
  24. If people left the idea alone, and actually let the guy respond, that'd be great. It's only something to consider, not a fix that i worked hours on with my microscope.

    If it can't be done, oh well. At the very least, you understood what you were responding to, and i thank you for that.

    Most of us judging from the posts would just like to know that the deck wasn't stacked completely against us because we picked a certain AT, or a certain faction, or a certain powerset, right? My only goal is to make sure this is what the devs consider.

    Anti FoTM could very well be the reason we have electric armor.

    I don't see what's so hard to understand. You really need to build full fury to off that horribly overpowered AR blaster hitting you for 30 damage?

    I'm going to try and explain this so it's as simple as it can possibly be.

    A)MANY SETS IN PVP ARE UNDERPOWERED. Are there any kids out there who want to dispute this? Ok, we can continue.

    B) Sets that are underpowered, do not need to be put in a situation where they are even less useful. That being said, sets that have high damage associated with them should grant great fury REGARDLESS of the damage done. This is not to say that lesser sets should not grant any fury at all, but it was mentioned in order for the devs to CONSIDER, so the gap between optimal and non-optimal sets is not widened.

    c) Fanboys on the topic of pvp who respond while having no idea what they are talking about, are insanely annoying. All the people posting about how there should be a fair chance for all sets in pvp, think that an actual change considering this would be a horrible thing?

    Read, comprehend, respond. Noone cares about your post count. Yes, it's great that they are looking to fix fury, but if they don't fix it properly it only means the same whiners who do nothing but complain about pvp inbalances now, will do it later on and smack the devs in the face for trying.

    If you actually understand the last part you quoted, go make a thread about how fixing fury in that way nerfs blasters. Poor ice/EM blasters....they would get hit almost as hard as they had been hitting everything else all this time.../e cry.
