"NCSoft player meet and greet" - Austin - Feb. 23
I'm starting to feel sorry for the wait staff at whatever bar everyone ends up at.
Be well, people of CoH.

UPDATE:
Due to an overwhelming response to the event we are going to have to cap the number of sign-ups to 250 people. If you have not registered and you are coming to the meet and greet you better sign up quick!
We will do more of these in the future - and next time I promise it will be somewhere that will hold more people!

Yeah, but the Rogue Valley area is a better part of Oregon. The best But, I will understand if you guys go portland instead. Hope your cars stay in one place and piece if you do. And enjoy the blazers while I got to either the Britt, The Createrian, or the Shakesphere festival (they are all EXCELLENT)

Try Atlanta - we hold millions here...

I'll see your Atlanta, and the Oregon from the post before you and others. We'll just tuck 'em off in a corner and still have lots of room left here in Texas.
Seriously though, I doubt that CyberJock's thought there would be this large of a turnout. If they had realized the large turnout they might have, they would have likely booked a larger site, or more likely, charged a nominal admission fee or sold tickets to this. I highly suspect that they would have still had an extremely large turnout even if they had been charging a fee. The other possibility might have been to have split the event into several days, with different NCSoft games and devs featured on different days.
I do wish more could attend, and seriously hope that future events of this nature will occur in various parts of the US and Canada (at the very least), and possibly even in the UK and other places where they have a large playerbase. Also, a little more notice would be nice as well, to allow those that are in the general vicinity to have time to make plans to attend. I got lucky in that my school district, and more specifically my campus and department head, appreciate me enough to allow me to take off during a fairly busy time for such a purely personal matter.
I look forward to meeting the players that attend, and getting to put faces to many of the names I know only from the game and the forums. Oh yeah, it will be a good time to get to meet the red-names as well.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.

RACH got PWND?
Sorry, couldn't help myself
I now have the mental picture of dozens of gamers flooding a parking lot and chanting for favorite devs.
OTOH there are a few nice pubs in the area.Perhaps we can chant in a more relaxed setting?

If I wasn't in the hospital for tests that weekend I would have been there. Austin. Copper Kettle. Crab Pot. The awesome steak house in the middle of nowhere 8 miles west just past the giant gold Buddhist Temple dome. Fun place.
For those of you who did sign up, the time has changed to 5pm

Bleh, ick!
...OK, it doesn't really mean it conflicts with anything else for me, but it means I have to wake up two hours earlier.
Then again, maybe they knew people would start showing up at least two hours early anyway, and just decided to make it official.

3ish? Should I just plan on parking in Leander then? Maybe I can get a shuttle service from Round Rock and not bring a car at all.

Well, I drove by Cyberjocks for the first time last weekend.....if everyone on the list ends up coming, then parking is gonna be sparse anyways unless EVERYONE does some mad carpooling. Im talking circus clown cars and college kids stuffed in a phonebooth. Ok maybe Im exaggerating a bit :-)

I wanted to go, but I work that day - and I am not sure I'll be able to listen to it at work, so I am a little bummed out. Is there a way to listen to a rebroadcast (or download a mp3 recording of it) later so I can listen to it at home?
[censoerd] [censored] [censored] [censored]!!!!! AUGH!! *bashes head in* I hate you all!! Not only are you a country away, you pick the day and time that I'm going to be out to broadcast it!! *cries*
You could always come to my hometown. We've got lots of woods that'll fit tons of people in 'em.
