"NCSoft player meet and greet" - Austin - Feb. 23
Will Nymie the Pooh be there???????

If I lived near Austin I'd totally go and pretend I was someone else. Like Anti-Catwhoorg or LiquidX or something, (maybe that Puffyshirt guy I hear mentioned every once in a while).
How would anyone else know the difference? I'm tempted to go just to sew confusion and mayhem! Bwaahahahaaha!
[/ QUOTE ]
Funny, I was thinking I'd go and pretend to be Craban or Friggin_Taser.
[/ QUOTE ]
This does point out the fact that we've never seen Alexa and Craban in the same place together.
Or CuppaJoe and Friggin Taser, either!
Me thinks some people lead double lives...
That blue thing running around saying "Cookies are sometimes food" is Praetorian Cookie Monster!
Shoot on sight, please.

Hey now, CuppaJo and Taser were partying down in the Pocket D on test last night.

Most likely not, but I wish I could be there to put Cuppa at ease if nothing else. I may be able to. I didn't find out about it until this morning, so have to see what I can do. Probably not, but not entirely undoable.
Satanic_hamster is Positron.
The REAL reason for not so much CoH content in I7, is he is too busy trying to get HamsterHamsterHamtser as the title for 20K posts.

Be well, people of CoH.
Hmm... *looks up plane tickets from atlanta*
I need something to do with that slick little arachnos button of mine. I suppose this will do the trick.
I used to live in Austin. Great city... to have a job in. You do NOT want to LIVE there. Want to drive 4 miles down the road at 5pm? Better get ready for an hour of bumber to bumber traffic. And if you want to go -godforbid- downtown.. just save yourself the trouble and take the bus.
Austin is the very definition of poor highway planning. Ugh.
Oh, and while you are there, swing by 6th street. Its fun.
PS. While there, do not give money to the "homeless" people you see. They have a very intellegent racket going, and make more money that alot of the players in this game I betcha.)
Ok... the next event should definately be in Maine.
I have seen a couple other Maine-iacs on these boards, and as a father of two and the owner of a boat I think I'm qualified to say that this would be the perfect place for just about any event.
Although all this talk about people posing as other forum posters I think is wildly amusing. I just hope no one pretends to be me without a labcoat. (I wear a labcoat when I go out in public) I don't think I'd want any incarnation of me to go to an event like this without a labcoat.

I volunteer. I have many labcoats. White ones, patterns, designs... ohh, a black one.

Agreed on all counts!!!!
Austin's rush hour is actually NOT too bad, compared to other places... like California's bay area. Even in full rush hour it will only take an hour to make it from south austin to north austin... which really isn't that bad! For patient types I guess. Gotta have good music to jam to in the car!
But Yeah this is a wonderful place!

[/ QUOTE ] Now THAT'S style. One of my next projects is to put together a leather labcoat for the winter months. At one point I was going to make a purple/blue labcoat with silver stars and moons on it, but my wife vetoed the idea. (I pretty much have to give my wife veto power on my projects or else I'll wind up like Howard Huges)

I like the leather idea! Seriously though, I worked in a lab for awhile, scrubs and all that. I like being color coordinated.

Yes, the traffic can be a pain, but luckily I currently work 15 minutes from my house. Hmmm, the commute from far NE Austin to NCSoft would NOT be pleasant.
Be well, people of CoH.
Hmm... looka like about $420 after factoring in the hotel. I think I'll actually be able to make this one. Other attendees, you'll be looking for a six foot tall skinny white guy with shoulder length brown hair wearing an arachnos pin and smiling a giant "I hunt Squishies" smile.
I refuse to wear a costume, but I encourage others to wear whatever they want for my amusement. Any word on whether Jack or Sean will be showing up? I'd especially like to have a chat with Sean, and I'd like to shake Jack's hand at least.
I think I'll dig out my CoV cape I got from Streetwise. but luckily it folds up nicely if I feel it makes me look too much of a dork
Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I know what you mean...i used to work off of Mopac before i moved...sucked ! don't even get me started on the Monster/AV that's I-35...it's easier getting around the Shadow Shard with Superspeed than that thing at 5 pm...
of course 35 sucks here in dallas too, so oh well...

Just down the road from where I live.....I'll be there for sure. Should be able to get quite a few of Lone S.T.A.R. to go as well since most of us live in Texas.
When I lived in Austin ('93-'94) I35 was much, much worse than the Mopac, especially right by MLK and the University. Of course a great deal of Mopac was still under construction at the time, especially towards the south.
To this day, I still have nightmares about driving off the ends of those unfinished ramps...
Sadly, despite the fact that I know where Cyberjocks is and I still live in Texas, I just don't see myself being able to complete the 10+hour drive to get there. There is an awful friggin' lot of Texas after all.
Shame. I'd really like to meet the NC crew and personally apologize to Cuppa for all the posts of mine she's had to delete.
Damn. No offence, ladies, but the only way I'd cross the ocean for this is if _Castle_ was there. But then I guess he works for Cryptic, not NCSoft.
