Where is the big event?

I was wondering as well.
Well over on the EU web page they have put a news post saying the EU patch has been delayed for 1 day due to technical glitches with the servers. Don't know if this is something to do with a bug in the patch or just a fault with the EU servers, but given that so far the usual downtime window is nearly up it doesn't look promising for a release on the US servers currently. We can but hope this is just a small delay to make sure the patch it working fully.

Ok I have been roaming on Victory and Pinnacle without success. When I ask in the broadcast 90% of the people are totaly clueless and usually answers:" It starts on the 19th" TO which I reply : No. The 2nd part supposedly starts today on Dec. 15".
So the previous post gives us a good idea of what is happening. However, I am a little bit dissapointed that the devs do not post something about this. (I might be grumpy cause im tired. I stayed up till midnight and had to get up at 5 am ) SO im not really whining but am strongly wondering.
Ill be cheking here for some more information and will definitely be posting if any new information comes up.
OK so looked at the French COH/V website and the UK and they have this great little message that it will be postponed to the 16th. Do we have the same issues on US servers? Probably!. Being of good nature I would assume that the US players did not get an announcement because they expect to fix it before the end of the day being that the 16 in EU will still be the 15th for us.
Yes, I agree. I can understand technical problems creating a delay - but, I'd liek to be TOLD that there's a delay, rather than wondering if I somehow just .... missed the boat, if you will.
It's possible they're still trying to get it up for us before the end of the day. It's only 8am where Cryptic is, so they have a lot of time to work on a fix and get it up before the 15th is over. In Europe, however, it's already around 4-5pm and likely far past their normal maintenance time, and it could already be the 16th there by the time a patch is ready.
Either way though, Cryptic is probably just starting their workday and might not even know whether the American servers will get it or not.
Geez, you people need day jobs! Then you'd not be wondering such things! Then you'd be like me, posting here and wishing I could be playing CoV instead of looking at insurance policies and answering dumb questions on the phone. 
(Yes, yes, I know there are Euros and night-shifters reading...just indulge my whining.)

figures all this happens during the afternoon and night time when I work. One more window of my life has been shattered lol.
Severs are coming down for "maintenance" in about 5 minutes. So hopefully it won't take long to get back up so we can begin this new event.
Well, they're down right now... I'm guessing on a patch when they open back up and the operation is a go...
Btw, if everything happens to be covered in white and the waterways are frozen over, I'm going to run around squirting yellow liquid like a happy puppy!

Just wondering, I re-read the email it only says the 15th.
