If two people are trying to get Gangbuster(Family Marcone boss badge), do they have to be in close proximity to each other to get credit for each kill or can they spread out and still get progress towards the badge?

As long as you're in the same zone on the same team, any kill credits count for all members of the team. The xp leash applies only to xp in outdoor zones, but for purposes of badges, the devs left that alone. For example, I recieved the goldbricker badge flying through a zone when one of my teammates stopped to beat one up in a distant part.

Apparently not. I got all 4 while in SG mode, no beacon. Same with Siren's Call (makes sense, since most people aren't going to want to travel through PVP zones if they can help it).
I can also confirm Soul Binder is working in CoV. Easy to get by wiping out madness, energy and life mages in PO around the fort.

I don't buy this. I've started arc's only to go team with friends, just to find that the contact won't talk to me anymore since I leveled. The arc just stops.
How are we supposed to ever get badges for the arcs we missed? Does this mean if we want all the badges for the arcs we have to intentionally level as slowly as possible to get all the missions for all the contacts without outleveling them?
That's a tough order indeed, since to open a new contact you have to do 5 missions + hiest to open each one in each zone.
Ideas? Comments?
actually AFAIK, theres only a couple of badges within or due to story arcs from contacts. Badge missions can be mini-arcs, but rarely tied to a whole arc (plague stopper from coh is the obvious example of one in an arc).
oh and fyi, if you start an arc at any level, you will be able to finish it, CoV arcs are short early on (dont know about late game), but if you have got the first part of a souvenir in your clue box, you can resume it at any time.

Gravedigger and Bonecrusher = 100 kills each?
Kill Skulls badge = 500 kills?
They're for both.
Kill Skuls = 500 any type of Skull
Bonecrusher = 50 Bonedaddies (I think)
Gravedigger = 100 Embalmed
Check www.vidiotmaps.com/coh for a better list. As far as I know, all the Defeat COH badges can be gotten in COV as long as that villain type exists.
I found a history plaque thats not on the list (that I have). It's in Sharkshead at 760.5, 32, -372.2. Don't remember what it says right now but...there it is.
I've been reading up on the unlockable contacts in CoV and gather that I need the "villain" badge to unlock Kristof Jeager, also that it's acquired by defeating 100 or so longbow bosses (wardens/officers) .. I'm sure I must have taken down at least that many in Nerva over the past few days, but still no badge.
Perhaps it's a defeat very large number of any type of Longbow enemy? Does anyone have any ideas, theories, or best of all: simply knows what is required for this badge yet?
One of my Vg memebers says there is a badge called Chosen One but I cant find any info on it.

Nope. Best theory so far? It's bugged.
Players have reported killing literally thousands of longbow, plus hundreds of each boss and LT type without getting the badge. If the badge is actually working as intended it would appear that it requires a number of kills rivalling the old Zookeeper badge for monkeys.
Badge is 'Destined One', it's the same thing as VIP in CoH (bonus for buying the special edition CoH), they just changed the name and badge text.

This seems to be happening to me 2. I only got to do one level for Bocor before the gave me the Radio. Then he says he's got nothing more for me. When I enter a zone I get a message saying to go to my broker for a new contact but when I get to them I get nothing. Weird

I was killing all the Family bosses in Port Oakes and it gave me Gangbuster. Took about 3 freaking hours since it really is 200. But the Slot Machine is a hell of a lot of fun and the end bonus, good [censored] lord, it was the biggest bonus I have ever gotten.
