  1. I managed a fair number as drops, and got a few from architect ticket rolls as well. Best guess is I spent somewhere between 200 and 300 million, with about half that coming from the sale of 2 LotGs. Some of the sets with the largest +def bonuses in this build are very cheap though, like enfeebled operation.
  2. Here's what I use....

I've taken it to level 47 exclusively solo, doing all the story arcs. I've managed to outfit this character with it's IO sets just from cash earned through regular play (...every 200 merits from story arcs, grab a LotG +recharge and sell it on the market).
  3. Arc Name: Malice Springs Eternal
    Arc ID: 76439
    Morality: Villainous
Factions: Custom (but reasonable. One EB in final mission)
    Level range: 1-54
Synopsis: For decades Arachnos has been experimenting unsuccessfully with brainwashing and reprogramming the minds of super powered captives. Now the project has gone awry and it's up to you to regain control of an entire village of super powered deranged lunatics.

It's a bit of an homage to 1960's Spy Camp. I hope you all have fun with it.
  4. Hostage[TM] Fruit Pies!
    Arc ID# 16189
Just one mission, quick to run, with a fun souvenir if I do say so myself.
  5. It's been confirmed in other threads, Doc Buzzsaw will give you missions at level 30.
  6. It's either 150 or 200. I stopped counting at 100, myself.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Unlocking Veluta Lunata is actually done 2ce.

When you take out only the 50 ghosts, you unlock her first story arc. You have to be atleast level 6 but if you are over 10 she won't talk to you. Once you obtain the 100 ghots trapped badge you open up her 2nd arc. which can be done at any level after 6. (I have done it at level 8 and at level 33).

The first arc gives only a souvenir A fragment of the spirit world. The second arc yields only a souvenir as well, Illicit Copy of Malachi's FIles.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I can categorically state this is incorrect.

I just got Veluta today, at level 33. I obtained only the first badge for 50 and have not yet bothered to obtain the second badge for 100 at this point.

She offered me her second arc, souvenir Illicit Copy of Malachai's files without offering the first arc. She did the same thing for the level 11 VGmate I took along to get the badge.

Getting both badges has no bearing on what she gives. What matters is the character level. Level 10 or below, she gives both arcs. Level 11 or higher, she only offers the second.

Triage Beacon makes almost no difference in the healing rate, and only works if you hang around for a while.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No longer is Triage Beacon a joke. The devs have doubled it's +regen, so that with 3 SO heal enhancements it not performs better then /regen's integration.

Where it really shines is when it's stacked. Two players laying down 3 heal slotted slotted beacons is now = /regen's Instant Healing. Six doing so = Issue 1 Instant Healing.

It's gone from one of the very worst powers in the game to very worthwhile.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
Perhaps it's a defeat very large number of any type of Longbow enemy? Does anyone have any ideas, theories, or best of all: simply knows what is required for this badge yet?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nope. Best theory so far? It's bugged.

Players have reported killing literally thousands of longbow, plus hundreds of each boss and LT type without getting the badge. If the badge is actually working as intended it would appear that it requires a number of kills rivalling the old Zookeeper badge for monkeys.
  10. Can I get a quickie confirmation on one thing?

    [ QUOTE ]
    Slot Machine.................30-35

    [/ QUOTE ]

Another listing I saw earlier placed this one in the 35-40 range, so I haven't bothered with it yet. But if it's really 30-35 I need to get cracking on it, since I'm just a bar short of 33.
  11. Anyone able to tell me the level range for these three contacts in Sharkhead?

    Crash Cage
    Lt Chalmers
    Operative Vargas
  12. [ QUOTE ]
At least they changed the number of missions required to get contacts from brokers from 5 to 3.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd be happier if it was 2 like it was in the last week of beta.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Now in Cap au Diablo, I took Dmitri first got his storyarc started, (hit 15 during it) then went to get Dr Shelly, she says I outlvled her, I then tried to get the 3rd contact (the one in the hut on the dock, cant remember the name) and he gives me the Pyriss arc no problem. So I dont know why Shelly wont talk to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You've outleveled even more content then you think you have. First, Dmitri has two story arcs (the vahzilok one, then one with a group of Russian commandos called Spetsnaz). Also, when you complete this second arc you get referred to the Golden Roller contact, who has his own arc(s). Second, Themari also has two story arcs and he only offered you the second. His first leads to the 'Olivia Darque's Ring' souvenir.

I'm obsessively trying to complete every arc as I go and even with nearly a dozen done before I hit level 17 I think I may have missed one or two. Rumor has it Billy Heck has a second story arc, but if he does I've never seen it either in beta or in live. Likewise all I know about Veluda Lenata is having seen her name mentioned on the boards twice now. I've never been referred to her or stumbled across her, and have no idea if she offers a story arc or not.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
(I also picked up 'Where is My Cow', a children's book by Terry Pratchett. It's worth the 16.95 just for the art.)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    THAT IS NOT MY COW.

(Heh, sorry. Gotta read 'Thud' also by Pratchett to truly appreciate 'Where is my cow?')
  15. 1. DA, Ice Armor, Stone Armor - the f/x are going throug a redo and the powers will be made stackable. I'll tell you when as soon as the schedule is solid.

Will the sole changes to the dark armor set be graphics and stackability? Will powers be altered and/or endurance costs be reduced? The average dark armor scrapper seems to be running somewhere around 7 toggles at once -without- stacking, so this is somewhat of a concern.
