You aren't kidding. Antimatter does enough damage to one-shot you in the 40s! Could you imagine how much damage that would do to some low level Outcast at 16th level.

This whole scenario has been an old joke in my SG ever since that specific ambush got us the first time back in June...

It would be cool to have the trainers and TF heroes act like policebots, though. If anything reaches them, they just casually blast it out of existence. The problem is that it would give a huge motivation for people to train bad guys right into a bunch of unprepared heroes who are forming TF's or leveling up. Eventually the novelty might wear off, but it would still be an ongoing problem I think. Too bad, because it would be very very cool.

Lowbie heros are getting cut down in front of your eyes, and yet you do nothing. Granted, only the really stupid heros died here, but stupid heroes are heroes too.
Some of the heroes mistakenly even tried to save you, thinking you were in danger.
Low level heros are oblivious to the dangers of these high level guys. Shouldn't you at least warn them off or something, even if you're not going to help.
No, we all know that you're laughing inside of that tin can. Who else would be so sadistic as to send large groups of lowbies off to fight Vahz and CoT with barely a mention that they're all going to die?
The biggest indignity of them all? You had to be saved by a Fire Blaster.

You assume Positron is standing there all day. But in reality he's only there when heroes are around in case they need TF assignments, otherwise he's off on a quick hami raid, or maybe visiting with Swan.

Greatest line ever!!
All this time I thought they hadn't been helping because:
-Lord Recluse challenged them all to 'Simon Says', and allowed them to talk to people (not about the game), but not to move around. If all the heroes could do it for a year, he'd turn himself in without a fight.
-All that time standing in place has made them prone to painful cramping if they move too much. (Citadel says:'oilcan.oilcan.')
-They really don't like us (case in point, Positron's TF), and only give us things to do so we'll leave them alone or just go away.
-A dastardly supervillain, as yet unnamed, posed as a hero and put down some Rikti-tech-based glue when Positron et. al. took their lunch break. Only Statesman escaped, but hasn't yet had a really good opportunity to bust into the mothership for solvent.
But I guess Positron's explanation works a bit better. And in fewer words, too.
By the way: Great response. 5 stars, if I can give 'em.
