My WS is now 39, almost 40, and I basically followed this guide with a few minor changes.
I would like to make one suggestion for those just starting a WS and using this guide, since I wish I had thought of it before getting this far:
I know Shadow Cloak provides a small bit of defense, but a better choice might be to take Super Speed instead. Especially if you are already getting Hasten here.
First of all, both SS and SC will both give you roughly the same stealth level. So this is really no trade-off in this respect.
Secondly, SC actually slows your run speed whereas SS will increase your speed immensely.
SS will cost you slightly more end/sec, but I think it's certainly worth it for the speed benefit. I realized that this might be a good choice when doing some missions with SC and Nebulous Form on, along with Sprint... to click the glowies to complete a mission. It was soooo slow, and fellow teammates were Superspeeding all over the map as I was putting around. I figured that it would be much faster to trade SC out for SS, and still retain the full invisibility with a higher run speed. I could also leave sprint off now to make up for the added endurance cost (not that it would really be a factor with a 6-slot stamina).
So, if you are following this guide to the letter, please consider taking SS at 14 (exactly when it becomes available anyway) instead of Shadow Cloak, and never look back. I would also suggest slotting SS with a single end redux as it will already be plenty (or to some too) fast already. Actually, this is a very good travel power combination too for those that aren't big fans of TP. You have Phase Shift for complete safety, SS for arguably the second fastest travel power, and Nebulous gives you a semi-superjump (actually seems to be a capped Combat Jumping) good enough to get over just about any obstacle easily. If you ever get stuck and the jump height isn't enough, you always have TP or Nova fly to bail you out.
While I am at it, I would like to suggest another idea in regards to strategy. I fell in love with the concept of a double-mire, break into nova, rip stuff up. Well, as long as the mobs are in the +3 to +4 range or below and you get a decent hit % on your mires, I would suggest using either sunless or dwarf mire, going nova and blasting until mire fades, then drop out of nova and hit the other mire that you have available. Alternating them will give you longer periods of capped acc/dam since either one will cap you with enough mobs being hit. I find that 2 consecutive mires is usually a waste since the first already caps you when you hit enough mobs. -
Not sure exactly what you are asking for here.
If you want a TP bind that will just port you straight ahead without choosing a location, I don't think that is possible. The TP power itself requires you to physically target a location, even if it is a spot in the air at max distance.
Now, if you want a bind that changes your camera angle or cam distance, etc. to get a better view of where you would like to choose a "landing" location, then scan through this thread from the first page on...you will see plenty of this type varying from simple to complex. -

I was looking to create a few binds with "canned" responses to some tells that I have been receiving increasingly more frequently.
However the autoreply command says it takes 0 arguements. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks.

Taking a wild stab at this one, but perhaps this will work:
/bind <key> "autoreply$$beginchat " Get a job punk!" "
Not sure if the second command (beginchat) will reset the chat input or if it will append to the previous (autoreply) command. Give it a shot and see if it works...I'm at work so can't test it atm. -

Now what about a channel called Raven's Nest? Is there a way to do it for that one?
Thanks for the above solution!

This should do the trick:
/bind <key> "beginchat /send "Raven's Nest""
Now, to make things a bit easier and more interesting with the global channels, you can also add in your current toons actual name and/or level and/or AT at the beginning of your message. To do this, you would add in $name (for your char's name) and $level (for your char's level) and $archtype (umm...for your char's archtype). An example of how to do it for your "Raven's Nest" channel would be as follows:
/bind <key> "beginchat /send "Raven's Nest" --- $name, level $level $archtype --- "
This will send the channel specific /send string and the commands for your name, level and AT to the chat window with a space at the end already....then you just type your message and hit enter to produce the following to appear in the global channel:
NightKnight: --- NightKnight, level 50 mutant defender --- YourMessageThatYouTypedHere.
If you current toon name is the same as your global chat handle, this isnt really needed (but you could include the level/AT info). But if say I was on my lvl 36 WS and speaking to the same channel, that same exact bind would produce this in the chat channel:
NightKnight: --- Nec Romancer, level 36 science warshade --- YourMessageThatYouTypedHere.
Anyway, this is all neat stuff to do, but the first one is a simple fix for what you needed. Have fun! -
Technically, there is no "pause" so the answer is probably no.
On the other hand, you may be able to do a few things to make your bind do what you want.
First off, when you have more than one command in a bind string, they will all happen starting with the last one in the string first, then work backwards. By changing around the order of the commands in your bind, you may be able to correct this problem with this alone.
If that doesn't work, you could also try adding in an emote or two after the costume change command and before the inferno command in your bind string. This should activate inferno, do your emotes (choose something with a long activation time if possible) and then do your costume change. This is not a guaranteed "pause" but it may give you an extra split second or two by performing the emotes in between.
I think you will have better luck with the first suggestion than the second, but it can't hurt to try. -

I can't seem to get a bind to work that will send a message to a chatroom with 2 words for a name. the chat is Infinity Hamidon.
I have a bind that works for all one-worded chat rooms (an example):
/bind rcontrol+return "show chat$$beginchat /send SDFGlobal "
and it works fine but this:
/bind rshift+return "show chat$$beginchat /send Infinity Hamidon "
doesn't work because it thinks i'm trying to send to channel infinity.
But when i hit the keybind I get this in my chat entry box:
/send Infinity Hamidon
and if i put quotes around it like so:
/send "Infinity Hamidon" (blah blah blah)
it works just fine. but if i include "" inside a bind it gets angry with me.. what can I do to fix my problem?
[/ QUOTE ]
Try this:
/bind rshift+return "show chat$$beginchat /send 'Infinity Hamidon' "
Not sure if that will work, but it might do the trick.
If that doesn't work, you could also try this:
/bind rshift+return "beginchat /send "Infinity Hamidon""
The bind command does not like: ....beginchat "/send ....Hamidon"", but that one above should work. I have gotten the exact bind below to work.
/bind Z "beginchat /send "POW and V""
I'm not sure if adding or omitting the show chat$$ will affect whether it works or not. If you have your chat window open already, it shouldnt be needed though. -

So I was on with my SG on Champion a while ago, and we were doing the Positron TF. At one point, we were ambush right in front of Positron and Valkyrie. So here's all these guys shooting at us, trying to kill us, and Mr. Bigshot "I got my armor upgraded" and Ms. "I have this fancy spear that none of you can get!" are just kinda standing there watching.
THANKS A LOT, LEGENDARY HEROES!
Seriously, though, it would be cool if the trainers got some sort of automated power similar to the police drones. There's just something wrong about the eight most famous heroes in all of Paragon city standing there watching you get pounded on.

One word.....Classic! -
Was just wondering if it was possible to somehow /bind movement (forward, backward, left, and right) all to my roller ball. ie, make my toon walk/run/fly in the direction I roll the roller in. I read (skimmed thru) most of this thread and don't recall seeing anything like that suggested. If someone can/has figure(d) out a way to do this, please post it. I saw the section of binding the directions and such to mouse buttons, but I would like to have complete movement control with the roller only if it can be done. I wouldn't mind having to hit a key to activate/deactivate this function either.
Thanx in advance! 8-) -
All of the ideas above are great. One thing that I would like to add is some advise for those that are NOT the leader, but are merely members.
Please peeps, if you happen to get into a team where success isn't instant, or you whipe on the first pull....don't just quit the team imediately after death. The least you could do is say something before leaving, and preferably something more than "I gotta go" and quit within seconds. It's a bit frustrating when you finally get a team together and one bad pull causes a breakup. Try to give it another shot cause maybe it was just a mistake or the team just pulled mobs a bit too powerful for them. Instead of just quitting on the team, suggest what you think could avoid the whipe, or at least why you think it happened. Communicate and try to give the team at least a second chance.
I find that usually those that quit in these situations are either the person that is a novice and is scared away at the red/purple mobs.....or it is the one who is 2 levels above everyone else and thinks he/she is too good for the rest of the team.
But just leaving the Team without even explaining why is just immature!
I'm not saying you don't have a right to leave a group if you feel it isn't great...or even if you feel it sux. But give the rest the common courtesy of explaining what you are doing and why. Who knows? Maybe you were the cause of the bad pull, or maybe it was me. But whatever it is, working it out can benefit alot more than just ducking out!
