At least they didn't call them the Teen Titans. Originally the Teen Titans were entirely composed of Justice League sidekicks: Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy,...seems like there was a fifth but I can't think who. Not Supergirl, I know.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, there was Cyborg, Raven and Changeling, with Robbie's alien g/f starfire along for the ride. Raven turned out to be the daugter of a Demon (can't have that). and Starfire had a tiff with her sister..can't remember what her name is.

Maybe when they add more "raid" encounters an evil alternate version of Blue Steel will turn out to be a mega-powerful archvillain... The poor guy deserves it since he's so ignored...

[/ QUOTE ]

Shunned by the Praetorians...
Feared by criminals...
Yeah I could see that.

[ QUOTE ]
Hasn't Statesman confirmed that he's an 'Incarnate' or something like that?

[/ QUOTE ]

True dat. States and Recluse are Incarnates.

My question is what about the other Supergroups?
Back before Jack took over there was a section on the site for the different NPC SGs, like Moonlight Watch, Dawn Patrol etc. Moonlight Watch was a cool magic themed Supergroup and Dawn Patrol is a British Supergroup headed by Hero 1.

I'd like to see more of the CoH Bible either posted, or given out in game. I think the Devs are just withholding the info to make thier namesake heroes sound more important.

Yeah I'm on to you guys...

What I want to know: When are we getting Archer power sets, Mister Manticore Archer-Type-Person?

Posted

Here's some food for thought: other than Hero1 and Ajax, we don't know the composition of Omega Team. What we DO know is that

<SPOILER>

They didn't do it. They went to the other side, sure, but they didn't cut off the Ritki's portal technology as far as we can tell, unless one of them was the most kick-[censored] spellcaster in the known universe. Remember, the Ritki are cut off from their own dimension by a powerful magical shield that surrounds their entire dimension. We're talking one so powerful that the Ritki tried to create Mages among their own converted Lost ranks to handle. They couldn't do it. So the shield is of such great magnitude as to be totally impregnable.

So: if Omega Team didn't do it, who did? And how did Nemesis know that they were coming ten years before their first appearance, and four years after Portal technology was first introduced? Lots of holes in the backstory here.

You are talking about two different generations of Teen Titans. Cyborg, Raven and Changeling were part of the "New Teen Titans" that George Perez penciled. By then Aqualad and Speedy had moved on, but had not yet become Tempest and Arsenal (current names).

BTW, Starfire's sister was Blackfire (Komand'r). Oh, and Raven's demon father was Trigon.

Oh, and to a previous post - Wonder Girl was most certainly a sidekick. I know she was WW's sister, but she was still her sidekick.

Man, am I a geek...

Are we ever going to learn the fate of of Hero 1 and the heros he took into the Rikti Portal?

[/ QUOTE ]

Um, yeah...they dead.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are they now? Like in the movies no body no death.

Addional spoiler:

On the Rikti Magus arc, they repeatedly state that it was Omega team that made the barrier, and that Omega team was almost all made up of magical heros.

So it was 1 kick [censored] mage, but 200 or so good ones.

Well, technically, Wonder Girl as a sidekick was a continuity error... the original Wonder Girl wasn't Wonder Woman's sidekick but Wonder Woman's adventures as a girl but someone got mixed up and thought she was a separate character and thus she teamed up with the Titans.

...or at least, so John Byrne claimed in justifying all the muck he did to the character.

Ms. Liberty is in fact Statesman's Sidekick but she leads a group of heroes herself. They are called the Vindicators: Minx, Valkyrie, Swan, Infernal, Luminary and most recently Aurora Borealis.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, I guess I'm lucky I didn't create that character with that name like I was originally planning to. (Or rather, I did, but deleted him for a different name.)

Why is Blue Steel the only trainer/Hero not with a Praetorian Arc counter-part?

WHat's his story?

And why does Pep Cat smell of...peppermints???

Who exactly ARE the surviving eight, and why are they CALLED the surviving eight?

[/ QUOTE ]

Greetings,
The Surviving Eight are: Statesman, Positron, Synapse, Sister Psyche, Citadel, Manticore, Numina and Back Alley Brawler. They all agreed to remain in Paragon City after the Rikti War, to coordinate the efforts of the new heroes arriving every day.
Ms. Liberty is in fact Statesman's Sidekick but she leads a group of heroes herself. They are called the Vindicators: Minx, Valkyrie, Swan, Infernal, Luminary and most recently Aurora Borealis.

Cheers.

All I can say is poor poor Infernal, I must take them 2 hours to figure out which outfits they want to fight crime in that night. And the bickering good Lord the bickering. Pray for Infernal.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ahh - but now i think we know the real reason Malaise went insane again - He would have been a member of this group and i doubt Infernal was much of a Support System for him - it was the women who drove him nuts again!!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

He's not a Praetorian because he's not a member of the Freedom Phalanx. However, now that Ms. Liberty, Minx, Infernal, etc. have been shown not to be FP members either, this old answer seems mysterious.

This link is completely safe.

Numina Numina ^_^
now I want to see Infernal standing next to her doing the peanut butter jelly time dance. hm I think I found an avatar

er, on topic, I too would like to see "about this contact" or something on the trainer/TF npcs

(and wasn't maria jenkins states' ally, not Sidekick? or did someone mention that and I missed the post)

Those weren't Teen Titans founders. Those were The New Teen Titans.

What do you expect her to smell of? Peppers? Pepto Bismal?

That was the conclusion I came to, because I don't remember reading anywhere else that she was a 'hero', just that she and Statesman were colleagues.

[/ QUOTE ]Well, the muck started well before Byrne, with Donna Troy having multiple irreconcilable origins. "Who is Wonder Girl?" was almost an annual [[New] Teen] Titans storyline.

Does MegaTokyo's Dom ever post to these forums? I know who his ingame Chareacter is on Justice server but... <.< was kinda interested in what avatar he uses here

I'm lazy, what can I say?

And Dayamn, Infernal's got it good... I'm envious, even if I am one of the only male characters in a mostly-female supergroup.

I have a question though. I was watching the DVD content with the movie ad for CoH. It shows Statesman over the course of several generations. Is it the same statesman and he's Immortal? or is it a title thats passed on under certain circomstances?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is the same man, Statesman is immortal. Look for more details about his origin, his powers and how he is tied to Lord Recluse this fall in the upcoming novel: The Web of Arachnos.

I dimly recall reading somewhere that she had been a hero and that she's over a hundred years old as well. I want to say that it's in her "about this contact" and corroborated in the FBI report on States thats in the DVD and elsewhere. I know I read it waaaay back in the day when I was reading up on the game to see if it was worth buying or not.
(It was for two big reasons #1. I could FLY which is just super cool and #2 the backstory was a fun surprised for me. I hadn't been expecting something like that)

Great news! Thanks again Manticore!

P.S. For the poster who stated there was only red K, well, you are partly correct: there is still kryptonite, all colors and sorts, and over 100 pounds of the stuff is missing, presumably in the hands of a secret society of villians. Go read Countdown to Infinite Crisis (RIP Ted Kord).
