This (and the fed ex's) is my main problem. Arcs are a real pain to sync with others. Though goldside is better for that. Hopefully Devs keep it in mind for the revamps.

Tip missions, mostly everyone can join in and get rewards.
Radios/Papers have convenience factor, and tend to be easier than tips or arcs. And everyone gets the safeguard/mayhem reward.
  2. Those buttons look a little big, (ie exceeding forum guide lines) and overly 'US patriotic' for this non American.
I'm glad for the intent of them though.
  3. I like to change the phase powers in PvP to match the PvP ones, that you can then attack phased creatures if you are phased.

The overall reduction of End cost, meh. I dont think its needed.

The free player could click the text link and be able to to reply, but would not be able to send tells just using /tell.
I like this better than the OP, but would be happy with either.
  5. I havent even finished getting the incarnate powers I want. It will be a while before I can make myself run enough itrials to get the comestic pretties.

I would like it if it was possible for free acounts to reply to a tell. Failing that, the automated, 'cant talk back' is ok.
  9. I prefer S/L as most of my characters blap into melee range.

One advanatage of ranged def, is more mez attacks have the ranged attribute than s/l (afaik).

Okay, makes kinda sense I guess.

I dont feel like I have to do the mission just because I have a contact for it.

Sorry to nitpick and thread jack, but what powers you use shouldnt influence rarirty of drops on trials. Once you reach the min standard (no 10 threads) the rest is random number generators whim.

    That would be great.
Hopefully it wouldn't then expand every time like the memorized recipes though :/

What I do, is after I had all my settings the way I like them, and pop ups/prompts disabled etc is use the save setting button. On a new character I hit load settings. I do teh same for keybonds and chat windows. Saves a lot of time/energy/fustration.

I dont get why the architect contact and uni tutorial go on the hate list. You can just ignore them. Unlike having to go to the security chief etc.

    My guess as well.

And I'll add the paragonwiki is one of the most relaible and tested sources of information about this game.
  15. After you confirm your alignment to hero or villain (that is run 10 tips, get the morality mission and run that) you get reward merits. Every time after that you get 1 alignment merit.
You cash them in at fort trident or crucible. Here, let the wiki page explain in better detail: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Alignment_Merit

edit: remember that you can slide the level slider up & down. Not all recipes appear until you do so, if you after kinetic combat recipes, they stop at level 35.

I find it useful (like others above) to get LoTG's at level 25 for sidekicking down, and passing onto to alts.

You can also do random rolls, 5 recipes for 1 merit if you feel lucky.
  16. I'll echo the hero/villain tip method.

Remember you can cash in reward merits for Alignment merits as well.

Otherwise playing the market (see a few threads in that section) but that might take you longer than the 4 days for alignment merit method.

(and I'm sick of this forum deciding to log me out for no reason - after I click reply)

    welcome to the game.

I just wanted to add, that though the villian side is less populated, there are still a lot of people on.

If you havent taken the ferry and gotten out of fort mercy, it will seem even quieter.

A lot of players leave Port Mercy as soon as they can. Evenn if you dont want to rush, once you are used to the game, you level up very fast and get too high for port merecy.
Many also leave port oakes after a shortest time. Cap is the first villian zone that has players in any number around just doing stuff.

  20. Done, but imo you should define some of your terms with the questions. You should survey expecting the lowest expected knowglede of the survey taker, ie a causal player who only has played city of ... not other mmos.

    Namely:
    Quote:
Of the following which do you consider yourself?
    Achiever
    Killer
    Explorer
    Socializer
These are held to be an archtype of player. Not eveneryone would be aware that these are semi defined terms for game theory, and there is no option to be a combination.

    Quote:
    Dungeons:
    Quests:
    PvP events:
    Equipment
If someone has only played City of ... then we don't have dungeons, or quests, and equipment doesnt really suit either. But the survey looks otherwise geared towards City of ... players with MA questions.

    Just my 2 inf.

You've been here for 4+ years, have you written a guide?

Your reasons for not writing a guide are going to be similar for most people.

Its a shame, guides are really useful. But I'm too lazy to do one myself, even for the few powersets that I feel I have enough expertise to share.

Or it could be that we're really tired of this argument, we're tired of umpteen threads being created and even more being hijacked, and it's long past time to move on. The humor in the OP is based upon the premises that 1) the developers and marketing people don't care about us and only marginally care about the game 2) most people hate the trials, and 3) that the way it is will be set in stone forever, never to change. All of these are outright false, so it just doesn't really strike me as laugh-out-loud funny as it apparently does others who must think these premises are true.

    ...

Trying to get the thread locked? Politics, religion, and gender issues in in one paragraph.
Or trying to troll the flames further?

Maybe you could use your ignore button, or avoid threads that make you react this way.

Amazing how you can complain about thread jacking, yet come ranting with others into this thread for what reason again?
