my forum reg date isn't the same as my game reg date. i didn't find the forums for awhile after i started playing.

i DID stop playing the game for a couple of years. i didn't sell my account, though. i had every intention of coming back. For me, Real Life™ got in the way of the game (loss of jobs, pregnancy, etc.) and forced me to stop. However, if i'd been playing non-stop i'd have my 60mo vet rewards. i'm kinda sad that i don't, but i agree that i didn't EARN them. i wasn't paying for the game for 2yrs, after all!

ThunderKatt, the booster appears to have been disabled on test this morning.

i was able to pay for my gender/height changes with tailor tokens without a problem.

i STRONGLY recommend at least saving skin color over from the original to the change. You can always adjust it later if you need to, but it's a pain to have to change back to some other costume, check your colors, then head back to the surgeon and duplicate it, when it could be done server side.

Personally, i find it a lot easier to bind shift+enter to START with ((OOC)). It's much easier than remembering to close my parenthesis at the end of my OOC speech. And i get annoyed when i don't close parenthesis and have to do it on the next line (OCD here!) and that annoys me even more. Binding shift+enter to ((OOC)) is just so much easier, for me.

Had that happen on a Manticore TF (with only one defender, no controllers, whee). We had been doing it for hours, since we didn't have a very good combo of players and almost everyone was min level. Finally, 6am, we were on the last mission and finished it. Everyone left the mission except the leader. i was literally falling asleep at keyboard myself and some of the other members said the same thing.

It ended up okay, though. After we waited around and talked about it for 30min or so the guy woke up and left the mission then called it in. i know several of the guys were already asleep, but there was no reason not to just stay online at that point and wait for the leader.

Anyway, back to the OP. What we've always done is just kick the ones that log out like that as soon as they come back online. i don't mean after dc'ing and coming back in a few minutes, but if they leave and don't come back until the last mission they get booted, no matter what they claim happened.

And, ummm, if they don't let you get your name back, do NOT make your 3rd name choice a joke choice. In my experience, that's the one you'll get 100% of the time. (Thanks, GMs, for the name "Bound in Pleasure!")

i've found that telling them they have to pay me 1mil in advance helps slow these down. Now, putting it in my search comment doesn't ALWAYS stop them, but once they do ask "fill plz?!?" i just reply back with "where do you want me to meet you for my 1mil inf before i team with you?" and generally just get deafening silence back. The few times they are willing to pay, well running to their zone to grab the cash and spend 2min of my time is usually worth it.

Another option now to street sweeping to hit 5 is to do MA missions until 5. That's what i do these days. More fun than randomly killing street thugs and i get a few tickets. (That's just about all i used MA for at pre-50.)

Whether you believe that some of us want to experience the content straight through or not, some of us do. i have over 70 toons, but i STILL want to experience it all the first time through. i just rolled a new alt (after deleting a different alt i didn't like much ) and have been having an argument with myself now for days about just leveling straight through. i don't think i can do it, though. It's just not in me. It's like badgers. They just can't help themselves, they have to have them all. Well, i have to play all the content. i have 50s. 50 isn't the goal. Playing the game is.

Ah well, the above keybind fixes the issue, so at least there's a solution for those of us that regularly emote.

i'm OCD about doing story arcs and used to get very irritated when i'd out level contacts because xp was going so fast. So now i just lock down my xp until i'm done with my story arcs, do a few radio missions and turn xp back on during my safeguard to ding when i'm ready to move to the next arc range.

i suspect the issue was really that it was at 72dpi, so it was 110x(something i can't remember) and not the 80xsomething it was telling you it was. The error is in the way properties displays size for images that aren't at 100dpi. This was the most common issue for avatars on the huge forum i used to run, back when i was working for a living. A simple resize to 100dpi fixed it 100% of the time.

Probably confusion over the TF bug where, if you have a MArc active and join a TF, some players will enter the MArc and others will enter the actual TF mission from the TF mission door.

Did you already try /petition for GM help?

Maybe we're all misunderstanding him and he's REALLY asking about Devouring Earth. (Since that abbreviates to de.) And the subject line is just misleading.

i still feel that, if they are unable to stop spammers at all, they need to have a separate ignore list for spammers. When i came back to the game, i had literally 999 emails on the first toon i logged into. (i'm pretty sure that's the max!) So, since i wasn't playing the character for 2yrs, they were NOT getting my info from me logging into the game. i dutifully spent the next 15min or so reporting each of the spam emails i had received only to max out my ignore list before i was done with that one character. The problem was only compounded when i logged into subsequent characters. Since i couldn't keep all the spammers on my ignore list, some of the original spam email was duplicated on other characters. i see two possible fixes.

Add a separate list for spammers.

Once the spammer is perma-banned, auto delete their emails from all recipients and auto-remove them from ignore lists.

Either would be useful. The first option would probably be easier to implement, but the second would be more useful.

As mentioned above, your best bet, if you don't trust the people you are naming as friends here, is to kick them from the SG. Having just come back from a 2yr hiatus, i can confirm that those SGs that only me and my Husband were members of (no other accounts in those groups) gave back SG leader to the first one of us to log in after our hiatus. (i suspect the groups were in a nebulous "no leader" status until one of us did log in, since no toons were logged in within the auto-demote timeframe.)

Pretty much, if you're in the middle of some other action or emote, the costume changes won't emote. Just hit the escape key and then do your costume change. That will stop you from doing whatever action you are doing (including just standing there in attack posture), so that the costume change emote will work.

Most of the defender and controller sets have some healing. There is also a power pool (available to all characters) that players can take, though generally isn't used often in my experience. i prefer to play an empathy defender for my healer, but some people prefer kinetics, radiation, dark, etc. YMMV
