Pressing ; gets me a /

In the recent past, when I pressed the ; on keyboard it would send focus to the chat input with a ; there ready for my emoting.
Now pressing ; (without the chat box having focus) results in sending a / instead.
Is it just me or a bug?

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

Having the same problem here as well, as I use the semicolon for command line emotes. Thanks for the bind fix

It's not just you. This change has frustrated me and my emoting greatly, but there is a fix.

Copy this exact entry to your keybinds.txt file or custom .txt file.

; "show chat$$beginchat ;"

Or another way:

/bind ; "show chat$$beginchat ;"

Thank you very much.

Would unbinding the semicolon work?

<runs off to check>

Edit: Drat... doesn't look like it... oh well...

using an "/unbind" command doesn't actually release the bind on a key, but simply set it back to it's internal default.. which is still broken in this case.

On a side note.. I recommend the un-bind commands for anybody who still suffers from the "<color>Ready!" issues. It works wonders.

They broke it internally when they tried to fix the chat bug that threw in a lot of extra random characters.

And yet, the chat bug is still there! *tears out hair*

Ah well, the above keybind fixes the issue, so at least there's a solution for those of us that regularly emote.
